Me & My Beretta
Beretta Diaz. We were introduced to her when she was a beautiful, snaggletooth, seven-year-old little girl, full of sass and energy. Years have gone by, and she’s now twenty years old. A lot has changed since we last heard from Beretta. She’s now a junior in college, a social media star, and a certified ‘IT’ girl. She and Skyro are still dating and more in love than ever. As days go by, their relationship is just like any other relationship that has its ups and downs, and their love for each other is tested.
Last we heard from Skyro, we knew it was in his plans to become one of the biggest drug lords to come out of Miami, Florida. Now that he’s no longer in school, he can give the dope game his all and work even harder to get to the top.
With Skyro's dangerous lifestyle, there are plenty of enemies lurking in the shadows, wanting nothing more than to make him disappear. Could it suddenly be too much for Beretta to affiliate herself with Skyro? She’s doing big things, but being Skyro’s girl is starting to feel like she’s playing Russian Roulette with her life.

Now Diamond!!! You know I’m side eyeing you HEAVY after this!! This is not up to your standards and I’m praying the series gets better as we go along because this is not what’s up!
80% of the book was full of recaps and a boring storyline! I thought we were getting a bigger time jump and that the crew would at the very least be out of college and into their careers! Beretta is still spoiled af and that behavior gets irritating after a while! Can she grow up already!!
Puma and Scrappy are still a vibe!
Laila and Quincy are a whole vibe and I’m so happy for them!
Uzi is still my fav and her cameos were the highlight of the series which is sad because we’ve seen enough of her already.
Diamond is bogus af for how she did Reece. That man was minding his business and trying to stay out the way. If anything Zo should’ve been in his place because he got on my nerves!! He still causing trouble and needs to be knocked off his high horse!
Kedra is going to be a BIG problem! As soon as she told us about her father I knew her asś was too good to be true! The last 20% of the book is honestly what’s keeping me invested because for the first time ever I almost DNFd a book by Diamond.

Diamond, as much as I ride for you this book was fckn boring . I hated Beretta annoying ass. She’s now in college and she still acting immature. The errors way too many I’ve never seen you have this much errors in a book before. This book did leave a few questions of what will happen next. Hopefully the next book will be better cause this sucked.

I struggled a bit through this one. There were a lot of repetitive details and a lot of the events were predictable. I also thought that more time would have passed. Beretta seems so immature at times compared to Skyro. I’m ready for her to stop with the tantrums. I know this is the first installment to this series, but it just didn’t hit for me like some of Diamond’s other work.

What kind of ending was that!!
This book in the series was tame. I need Skyro to be lil more on point since he's a gangsta. If you got beef in the street, always protect your queen, and please put her up on game. RED should have gotten tapped long time ago!!!! I love her books and especially Beretta's storyline, but please make her less emotional bc I thought she was pregnant the whole book. Overall, I can't wait until this series is complete because there wasn't an ending or to be continued.

I was kinda let down
Right off the bat. Wait until the next book comes out before you read this book, or you will be pissed!! Since it had been a minute and I loved the whole Berreta storyline, I spent all weekend browsing the other books to catch up. So, to do all of that and to get an ending where a crazed character that was barely introduced says a crazy sentence, and the book just ends? Like wth? This would get an award for the worst endings!! I usually read the reviews to see if the series continues or ends. I am pissed because I didn't read one before I read. I try to wait until the whole series to end because these authors will get busy and take forever or not at all.
There were some other issues as well. Let me get this straight Skyro in the street that hard and the family that Beretta comes from, and she is THAT green just out drunk with killers sitting close by, people touching her?? She doesn't even tote a gun?? And with these tough ass sisters, this girl cries all the time. I mean cone on. She is like a child at this point! She can do all of that in the bedroom, then out she acts like she is 5??
And Skyro is out here hustling like that this hard and doesn't have a lot of money yet. And he just seems sloppy in this book. Doesn't he have a crew that should have eyes on his girl?? Big Red is just rolling through the streets to pool halls, and his gang can't find him??
It was nice seeing the sisters and their husbands, and the interwoven stories about them were done masterfully.
Love the sex scenes they were hot and sweet at the same time. I loved Puma's development. Lord knows it seems like she has not been around Berretta for ANY of that maturity to rub off.

It was sad what happened to Reece when he didn't deserve that. Zo is a bitch and what he did back then needs to be relieved to Skyro so he can handle it. This Kedra chick will be a major problem in the future, so Puma has every right to feel the way she does. That damn Beretta is sooooooo DRAMATIC, especially when she found out her momma was pregnant, but I'm happy for Laila and Quincy. I'm about to read part 2 to see what it's looking like

I knew something wasn't right with that girl!!! Welp looks like Beretta better get right to use her namesake and make that Beretta sing🤣🤣🤣...Whoa Skyro gonna definitely put serious hurting on Redman and I cant wait...Beretta I hate that she's in college and still a whiney baby and to be mad cause her mom is getting a blessing is wrong....I got a feeling Skyro gonna knock her up and I'm all for it she needs to grow up...Puma and Scrappy I'm so happy their still in love with one another ❤️...I can't wait for Beretta to start living up to her name and stop being so immature!!! Poor Reece i hope he lives through his injuries and can tell Skyro all he know about his stuid cousin...Overall another good start to a series can't wait to see what happens next!!

This book was soooo good!!!...It was good to be reading about this family and friends!!!...
This book had my heart thumping!!!...My heart broke for Reece because I was not expecting that ending for him!!!...Red Man is a walking target and Reece was right, he is way too old to be out here acting like that!!!...

umm…little weird
I’m sorry but I had to stop reading after Skyro said “you wouldn’t believe five kids popped out of that hot ass pussy” cause what? who talks about their mom like that as if they had sex with her? it was weird asf, and every time a character was introduced it was like we were givin their whole life story that I was going to forget about in the next few seconds so I really didn’t care to read it about it, seemed like a good story until what Skyro said, so it’s a no for me.

Kedra needs to take her meds because she's barking up the wrong tree. Beretta's family will not spare her regardless of her mental health. Red Man was already a dead man walking for what he did to Beretta. She and Skyro and Beretta had grown so much over the years. They had a great relationship and their love was beautiful. He'd do anything to protect her. Scrappy and Puma were the same. This book was amazing, and I can't wait to read part two!

It's so many moving parts of this story. But I can say I really like it so far. Beretta still her dramatic self and Skyro still calm and cool. I really like Puma and her man, they are super cute and anyone that can love you through your tough time is alright with me. Now I have to say I really want Kedra to be ok because Beretta has already gone through her fair share of mess with girls. Now Laila has me smiling for real, I love this for her!!!! Can't wait to read part 2!!

This is definitely and truly a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Oh and don't forget all the twist and turns that comes with it. Beretta and Skyro has a lot of work to put in to be, that couple to survive whatever that comes their way. I'mpraying my way through as I read. I loved how it picked up 3 yrs later. To see the growth in Beretta and Puma’s life and relationships. Skyro and Scappy both love the girls unconditionally even though some of their decisions are putting the girl’s safety at risk. Beretta needs to be mindful of the company she keeps. Sad what happened to Reece but I don’t like the cliffhanger. I think it could’ve left off with a little more excitement.

Great read. I can already tell that these characters about to be something else. I feel so bad for Reece. Even though he was a slick hater he didn’t deserve that. That RedMan got it coming I tell ya. I don’t know if those 5 guys who got into it with Uzi will appear again but they asking for it if she got to come out of retirement. Anyway, part 2 me please!

First let me say I am a big fan of Ms. Diamond 's. I am not a big fan of children pretending to be adults living in adult situations with immature impulsive actions and experiences. I will be riding with Ms. Diamond throughout this series. I hope it gets better. I will just skip the over the top sex scene between to inexperienced young adults Thank you.

I love how close the family still is and Barrett’s is still a brat. But I love all the couple’s relationships and I love that her mother found love and has another baby on the way. I just hope they can get rid of all the threats around them and keep living their happy lives
