"A ruined Earth is the battleground for people and creatures from various periods in the planet’s history, everything from ancient warriors to high tech superweapons."--not very good. Picked up at the paperback exchange store near Mother's apartment in Oslo, Norway.
This name popped into my head. I googled it and saw the Chris Foss cover and instantly remembered I had read it as a kid.
A better than average post-apocalypse story with bunker dwelling survivors and the enemy without.
As usual I was probably too young to fully appreciate it, but I enjoyed it enough to remember the title after 40 years.
In truth I was probably attracted to the book because of the 'bumble-bee' colours of Foss's artwork which was a continuous picture wrapped around the front and back cover.
I do remember on the reverse cover it had a couple of medieval knights standing in a desert wasteland 'chatting' in front of a rotting, futuristic submarine/spacecraft/industrial building?
