BOOK 9: REMODELED TO DEATH With the kids away, the Henshaws are in the mood for a lazy, romantic August. Then the pipes in the upstairs bathrooms burst. The only bright spot is that they won't have to deal with the town's hated building inspector, for he has just been murdered.
BOOK 10: ELECTED FOR DEATH Hancock, Connecticut is in the final heat of a three-way mayoral election when long-shot candidate Ivan Deakin takes a sip of cyanide-laced water. Susan suspects unusually dirty politics, and when her husband’s name is smeared across town, she gets serious about finding Ivan’s killer.
BOOK 11: WEDDINGS ARE MURDER When Susan’s beloved daughter Chrissy gets engaged, Susan reaches out to an old friend — now a designer in Italy — to create a bespoke wedding dress. But when the box finally arrives, instead of lace and tulle, nestled inside is a gruesome, strangled corpse.
BOOK 12: THE STUDENT BODY Like many fifty-something housewives facing empty nests, Susan decides that returning to college will give her life new meaning. But a murdered lab partner isn’t what she had in mind — especially since the victim was strangled with the straps of Susan’s own backpack.
BOOK 13: DEATH AT A DISCOUNT Amanda Worth is the last person anyone would expect to see at an outlet mall. But she was. Susan found her in a dressing room with a Hermes scarf knotted around her elegant neck.
BOOK 14: AN ANNIVERSARY TO DIE FOR The anniversary celebration at the inn where Susan and Jed spent their honeymoon promised to be a night to remember. And it was — for all the wrong reasons. Fellow party-goer Ashley Marks is found dead, her body hidden beneath a pile of gifts on the bed in the Henshaws’s room.
BOOK 15: DEATH IN A BEACH CHAIR For the Henshaws and their friends Kathleen and Jerry Gordon, the tiny Caribbean resort of Compass Bay has everything. But Kathleen and Jerry are having marital problems — and when a mysterious blonde turns up murdered, Susan suspects the Gordons are involved.
BOOK 16: DEATH IN DUPLICATE As new grandparents, Susan and Jed are thrilled to have Chrissy and the baby staying with them. But their neighbor believes she recognizes Chrissy’s nanny from a recent murder case. The day after this troubling revelation, the nanny is found with a knife protruding from her chest.

I like that fact she is talented and a Mom, wife and grandmother. Her husband is supportive , but has his head in the sand when it comes to how stupidly dangerous she can put herself in. She's too perfect, financially over qualified for the rest of us. I don't read a lot of the details about descriptions of fabulous homes and just want to get the real information that leads to finding the murderer. Read all book sets in this series- will recommend as great to read!
Susan Henshaw is a coper to the core, but her resilience is tested when her beloved daughter descends with twin babies, two Bull Mastiffs, her husband, and a baby nurse implicated in unsolved murders. When Realtor neighbor’s wife is murdered, Susan works overtime to connect the dots on property deals, illicit affairs and a real estate firm with a split personality.
I read these stories when they first came out in paperback and was thrilled to find them for kindle. I loved them as much as when I read them the first time. I wish there were more!
Book sets of books were wonderful, although, one or two were hard to decipher considering some clues were not made know to the readers. I was not thrilled either with the ending of book 16 unless there are more sequels in the works.
While I read the first set of Books 1-15, I realized why I only gave it 3 Stars. Only read book 9 of this second set, finding Susan too dizzy & annoying to continue reading the rest of the series.
