This is the basic runaway-princess-and-warrior-sent-to-capture-her story with a twist - the warrior is a woman (but it's not about lesbians). The story takes place far in the future on some planets far far away where space travel is routine but characters fight with swords. It is plotted oddly. The first 65 pages are background and setup of the story line, and the warrior finds the princess. The next 100 pages are just padding; no action takes place except supporting characters are introduced and they talk about their predicament. The final 130 pages are almost non-stop action as the villians capture the good guys, who escape only to be recaptured, then escape again, repeat, etc. In other words this is a 200-page novel stretched out to 300 pages. It would have been a tighter and more exciting story without all the padding. I never did figure out exactly what the "weave" was - it had something to do with seeing the future by weaving some magical fibers.
