Rate this book
The World of Avalar is ruled by Gods & Goddesses who believe in organization. Every major decision could lead to growth. Following Quests, gaining Classes, killing Monsters; all grant valuable XP to the citizens of Avalar.

Jace Blackbriar never wanted to be an adventurer. He promised his family he would stay safe and simply grow as a craftsman. Apprenticing himself to Master Rourke at the age of 12; he began his life as a humble blacksmith. But the apprentices who came first have no interest in sharing the opportunities to grow stronger. So by 18 Jace is still a lowly level 3 without a class of his own.

But when one of his fellow apprentices bullies him and causes an accident; Jace's life will never be the same.

This GameLit series contains harem elements and explicit content. For fans of D&D who loved to explore dungeons, fight monsters and experience the fear a strange magical item can produce, this story is for you.

Began gaming at the age of 8 and explored a lot of different ways to play table top. When I got older, I experimented with MMOs and found a few I really liked. My first job was mowing lawns as a young teen, and I worked to use the money to pay for fantasy series like DragonLance, Dark Sun, and Forgotten Realms. As soon as I discovered LitRPG I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my writing.

Aside from taking care of my sons as a single father, writing is what I love to do most. I hope you all enjoy my work.

One of the most magnificent series I’ve read with the most horrible ending I’ve read. Truly if I didn’t enjoy the book and characters so much I’d give it 1 star just because of the lazy ending it got. Frost, I’m truly disappointed in this… hell, I have no idea if the man will ever read this review but I hope it reaches his eyes and or ears because this is the type of actions that will cause a reader to skip an author completely. I am in the middle of another of his series as I waited for more books to come out but to tell the truth I don’t want to even read them now because all,of my invested time might be wasted like it was with this omnibus… truly, let me spell it out… we finally have an MC that was weak to grew to quite OP which I like BUT his harem is extremely relevant and important to the story. Most harems will start strong and then the harem either gets so big and some ladies are forgotten and glossed over or the MC is so OP he just does everything himself and he doesn’t need his girls anymore only for the nighttime stuff if you get my meaning. But, Jace? He actually needed his girls and they grew so much together and each and every member of his harem was super good! I loved each and every girl! Kit and Nicolette being my favourites… Kits foul mouth and Nicolette with her “brute” and “beast” comments never got old. I just laughed. So much time was spent to world build and set Jace and his girls up. Building them to get stronger and stronger. I loved how they uplifted each other and saw to each others well being… I wish we got more time with Sil, we’ll never know what happened with Tyr, Tia, And how about his family? Yeah his mom may have been tough on him but did he not love his mom and dad? What about Nicolette mom? She just wanted her to take over the store, but doesn’t she care about her family? What about the others that had family? What about Izul and the others? The two women at the beginning, the mom and daughter… their kids are now the children of a greater god… what about them? I’d have love to seen how the village prospered that was in the dungeon. There are so many HOLES LEFT! so many untold things that the reader is left hanging on. UGH! This is just saddening and upsetting. This would have easily been 5 stars if frost just gave us 30 more pages to tidy things up. But nope! Anyways. My rant and review is done. Onward, lads.

I had read this series before, back when it first came out. I didn't initially recall it, but pieces kept falling into place as I read it, so I remembered enough.

The MC is a lowly blacksmith apprentice who has gained little skill because there are 3 apprentices ahead of him. He's zoning out while manning the bellows again, when one of the fellow apprentices takes a branding iron and puts a brand on the MC. The brand is a one-time use magical one that causes the MC to eventually turn into an incubus. Left for dead, since there was only a 50% chance of survival, the MC has to find a way to survive.

There is a LOT of sex in this omnibus. Sometimes it is meaningless, like the MC seducing a farmer mother/daughter and impregnating them both before moving on. Others are meaningful, such as with his eventual harem of 5 women. There is a betrayal by a non-harem member the MC thinks will become one, but other than that, it's the 5 primary ones plus a few throwaways that include a dragon and a goddess.

The first 3 books of the series were good plot-wise, but the last 2 have the MC becoming a god and developing his pantheon as he fights universe wide forces. It was, frankly, boring at times. One of the worst things that can happen in a harem series is the MC becomes a ruler/god.

One major disappointing thing is that the omnibus is chock full of errors that existing in the previous individual novels. It appears there was zero effort made to clean it up. The book loses a full star on this review for failing to make the book read better.

DNF 20% of the way through. The pacing was really good until the view point switched characters. When the view point shifted to the female character, the information dump pulled me out of the story so much, there was no point continuing.

Up until that point the pacing of the book was fantastic... but Sorry, DNF so 1 star.

overall, fairly meh.

I don’t know how Frost did it, but he made a tentacle gangbang into a yawn fest.

Some of the sec scenes were interesting. Most were better skipped.

The main character had multiple chances to gain amazing abilities, but instead chose stats.

Pretty boring really.

A journey from A to Z

A full series, building world's, dreams, characters, magic... it was a crazy ride. Loved it all. The end was almost sad.
