'Seat Filler' was supposed to be an easy job for Kat. For one night, she would brush elbow with celebrities and make enough money for her travel plans. They have one Don't talk to the talent. Too bad one of the talent won't take his eyes off her. And the talent just happens to be her Ultimate Bias.
Ji-Hyun, main dancer of CLAR1T, is excited to kick off their first U.S. tour by attending a large American award show. But what excites him more, is the stunning and devastatingly curvy woman stood to the side waiting to replace stars' seats. It wouldn't be the first time he broke a rule in his contract, and with a little assistance, he hoped he could get her to succumb to his advances.
With the timespan of an award show to get her attention, will he be able to get her alone? Will she risk the fansites and break the only rule she has, to spend the night with HER ULT.
as a Kpop stan I felt obligated to read this since I saw the tiktok of the author! It was pure smut so I cant really say anything, it wasn't something new, a storyline you have read a thousand times already but it was cutely written. The korean phrases threw me off a little because it was hard to understand what he wanted to say to her at times but the translations at the end of the chapters made up for it! Him telling her he's in love with her after fucking one night made me laugh but I'm intrigued to read the other 5 books in this series and I'm excited to see the story developing. :)
Real rating is really at 3.75 and that's simply because I want more. I felt like the romance between Kat and Ji-Hyun was just getting started. I wanted to see if they actually managed to make a secret celebrity/fan relationship work.
But, the fact that it's a k-pop idol and fan makes it even better for me since I'm an avid k-pop listener. I'm trying to figure out who Samantha used as her inspiration as Ji-Hyun. 🤨🤨🤨 And also who the inspiration was for Kat, her bestie and the other group members.
Do we possibly get a love story for the bestie and groupmate???? I want it.
You know when you read a reader insert on wattpad, or maybe even tumblr, and it's just deliously smutty? Her Ult is exactly like that but 110% better.
As someone slowly getting back into K-pop, this made me sweat! My attention was held the whole time! The passion between the characters made it hard to stop reading and the plot flowed smoothly! I loved Kat (or Kathleen as Ji-Hun calls her) and I thought the passion between her and Ji-Hun was so beautifully written.
I will never get over Samantha Ann's ability to write the most jaw-dropping (mean that 110% in a positive way), she's a very talented writer!
Read this purely for comedy and it made me laugh a lot as a kpop stan
Plus size girl, history of being bullied, shy, insecure, struggles finding friends, does photography, her ultimate bias is a main dancer? *Side eye*
Definitely love the *cough* praising her to make her love herself *cough* and the learning Korean bits, although idk how beneficial learning "manjyeobwa" is unless you're in Hongdae 💀 Very (insert group) x reader, quick read, i don't usually read these types of books tho 😂
My prayers have been answered. I’ve been searching for a smutty kpop book for so long and then this came along. I loved this novella so much; my only complaint is how short it was.
Smut with very little plot but I enjoyed it :) quick and easy read. You don’t have to necessarily like kpop to enjoy it. It was also decent practice for learning Hangul
If I have to use Google translate to read your book? You're doing something wrong.
Yes, there were translations at the end of every chapter, but what am I supposed to do? Memorize the Korean characters and then remember, 'oh right, they said this Korean phrase at *this point* early on in the chapter!'
This was terrible. I was so excited to find a story that sounds like a dream come true, but it was like really bad Ateez fanfiction.
Fastest burn ever and too much self pity from the female lead.
Here let me show you what reading this book is like!
This 팬픽션 was like reading a story 흥분한 십대가 쓴 글 and it was not 좋은.
300 words later. BTW here's the translation! 팬픽션 - Fanfiction 흥분한 십대가 쓴 글 - written by a horny teenager 좋은 - Not good
the book was advertised on tiktok and i’m a delusional person as well as a k-pop fan so i figured this was the book for me. i didn’t hate but i didn’t really enjoy it either. definitely gives wattpad vibes, which isn’t a bad thing, just not my thing. the characters felt flat. the fmc was so focused on her weight and low confidence that it got to point of being annoying, like i get not having confidence and being on the heavy side, but it felt like it was ingrained into every single thing she did. it was her two personalities traits were k-pop fan and hating her body.
As much as I despise the random konglish basically here and there with explanations at the end of each chapter explaining the korean phrases, JFC I didn’t know I needed more of this type of actual BOOKS instead of heading to Watpad. (I first read Seoul Searching by this author and was annoyed with the konglish even more and semi irritating ways she used to romanize words. Sorry ya’ll, my linguist soul can’t handle that stuff.) despite that all, I’m here for this. I can’t deny it. Had my emotions all over the place. 😭😂😍 Also glad for the Hangul here and there just for the fact that I did highlight and note things that caught my attention and no one I know personally will understand what it meant anyway. So saved by the Hangul in that sense. 😅 lol I’ll be here to read the upcoming ones. You have me hooked.
Me reading this while I can’t sleep and have work in the morning is reminiscent of me staying up late to read One Direction fanfic on a school night. Which is fitting because this is basically a one-shot lifted straight from tumblr.
I’ve read worse, but I’ve definitely read better. I’m vaguely interested to see if any of the others in this series are a bit stronger because I see potential.
I would like if the Korean translations were annotations at the bottom of the page as opposed to a list at the end of each chapter, it would’ve been a bit easier to utilize.
3.25 elements were there I just feel like it didn't get enough edits. could have also been a lot longer which is a rare thing to complain about. Also I'm completely fine with random Korean phrases and then getting a glossary at the end of the chapter but the trouble I had was writing out the members name in English during the prologue and then never doing it again instead going for their names in Korean. Who's who? who's that? idk cause i can't read korean. still to this day don't know what member helped ya boy out the most. was it the moody producer? the leader? I can't read korean! its a bunch of (cool) squiggly lines to me
I had the absolute honor of beta reading this book for Samantha and let me tell you, it was exactly what I was promised!! It was cute and sweet and extremely spicy!! I'm a huge fan of her writing style and the stories she comes up with just draw you in, even in this fast-paced novella!!
I had a fantastic time reading it and cannot wait for the next ones in this series!
Thank you so much, Samantha, for trusting me with this story❤️
bro where do i even start on this?? first of all, i only picked it up bc i saw the intak vs cover image comparison tweet and i was intrigued. but i feel like i’ve read better stuff on wattpad.. the hangeul usage felt unnatural and forced. it was clear that the two words of the day were 애기 and 씨발. the story itself had no redeemable qualities so it was really just flat out bad, i don’t think i’ll be reading the rest of the series…
This novella was so good! When I first read the summary of this book, I was so excited to read it. I thought the idea of the story was so, so cute. This book had me giggling, blushing, and smiling while I was reading it. I think I even cried once! It was so great to read about a plus size FMC being able to pull someone who society would say is “out of their league,” and as a plus size k-pop girlie myself, this story had me delulu enough to think that I could pull my bias if I met them in person! I definitely recommend reading this story, and I cannot wait for the other five!
Do you love K-Pop and K-Dramas? Do you want a short and spicy book to read in one sitting? This is the right book for you. With a MFC who is a curvy queen and a man who literally worships her you will find yourself tearing up and squeezing your thighs together.
To be fair, I can be very picky when it comes to romance and kpop. Put those together and I'm just the worse. Overall, not bad. It's a short read, mostly smut (like 95%). I kinda wished there was a bit more plot, but again, that's just me. I would not tell people not to read it though.
The random hangul and English confused me seeing as the ML didn't really speak English. So I read it purely as he spoke fluent with a bit of Korean. And in one instance the names got mixed up between the ML and her best friend so that threw me off just a tad. Would I re-read this over? Most likely not. Am I still going to read the second book of the series? Most likely (cause I bought both books).
A little cringey, a little cute. Not so much kpop, all smut. Slightly annoying that the american spoke more korean than the idol. Using hangul and providing translation is a cute idea. Quick, easy read. I will read the rest of the series. Found the author on TT.
This was a wonderful quick read. If you like k-dramas, or just cute romances in general, then this is one you’ll enjoy. I want and need more.
Warning: if you don’t like a little smut with your romance, then this might not be for you cause this is not fade to black. But it’s well written so take that however you desire.
It was fine. As a fan of "Seoul Searching" I can say I wasn't expecting the smut...it wasn't terrible, just unexpected. Regardless of all of that, I do look forward to the rest of the series.
