Pack for a Lifetime

Rate this book
Chloe struggles to rationalize why she strolled past two friendly police officers and calmly walked away with her kidnapper. The intense attraction she feels for Raff is confusing enough, but the sense of belonging she feels around all the guys has her second-guessing reality. Can getting abducted, being injected with experimental drugs, and told you are no longer human be the best thing to ever happen to a girl?

Chloe learns she is a shifter, which she can't wrap her head around. Raff and his brothers try to convince her but she needs more proof. With all that is happening she also learns her whole life has been a lie told to her by her mother. Now she doesn't know who and what to believe. Time is running out and Raff and his brothers need Chloe to accept them before the next shift. This book was great and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

This was a really good conclusion to Raff and Chloe's story. While I understood her reluctance to accept the bond I constantly want to grab Chloe and shake her like be like what is wrong with you. Now I'm really excited to read book three and read Miles and Akela's story.

Loved this novella as much as I did the first one! It had everything I love about Survival and more! Found family, fated mates, love, hate, and everything in between. Maria knows how to write characters that jump off the page. The ending was perfect and I think I’m in love with Chloe lol

I went into this not knowing you should be reading the first book first. It wasn’t clear anywhere on this book that it was not a standalone. It’s not really imperative to read book 1, now that I’ve finished this book. In the beginning I was a little confused because it starts off in the middle of what you can clearly tell was a cliffhanger previously. So I went looking ad be saw these were the same characters from the first book.

Despite that, I was able to catch on & enjoy the book. I stopped feeling like I was missing out on anything because the author did a really good job of including background information but it not being repetitive.

I like Chloe, I don’t think she was a doormat to the feelings from the bind. She had very strong feelings & was smart about how & when she responded. Raff was your typical alpha. He didn’t do anything shockingly out of character.

Really looking forward to Akela & Miles.

This is book 2 in the "Survival" series and it's just as engaging as the first book. Both books have a strong female character who struggles with autonomy against a group she perceives to be limiting her.

The story centers around a woman who is kidnapped because she is a fated mate to an alpha. She has never been aware of her shifter side. I love the underlying principle, that you may be happier and stronger as a group (pack) than as an unhappy individual. The story is not violent and while there is sex and nudity, it's more R-rated in nature. The series is a fun, quick read if you enjoy shifter books. It's not too intense.

The next book is about a couple who we meet in this story, and I think it will be interesting to see how that plays out. I will look forward to reading it!.

This was an interesting tale and different from most shifter stories I've read. Chloe was a dormant wolf shifter who was kidnapped by her true mate Raff and given something that allowed her to shift into her wolf form. This was all a shock to her as she thought she was human and didn't know shifters existed. She was not happy about this yet felt attracted to Raff and the developing pack bond. Will she give Raff and her small pack a chance or will she run away? Check out this imaginative tale to find out.

This is a fast paced series and I couldn’t be happier with it. This is the second book in the series and I didn’t want to put it down. Even with it being a quick read and fast paced it’s packed with adventure, spice, love and suspense. The characters building and understanding is built in great detail. It’s amazing to see their development and back stories come to life. The connect I felt while reading made me smile and laugh but also hurt and feel the pain that was felt. I am excited to read the next book!

A trip

This book was a trip, and the pace certainly picked up from the first. it offers so much more insight into Raffs motivations from book one and has an interesting Handmaid's Tale( poor reproduction rates), vibe to it. I also loved how the author left several more questions to draw me into the next book. Chloe and her mothers conversation left me intrigued, the subtle worries she has for her daughter hunting at her own past.
The spice is there:) and Chloe and Raff's banter is both sweet, and relatable, with a kick.

Emotional Read

Chloe is trying to come to terms with what has happened to her and that she now completes the pack she belongs with!

An emotional journey as she finds herself and come to terms with her past, present and future with an Alpha mate who is patient and strong.

Wonderful characters within and outside their pack with a storyline that will keep you on your toes!.

Part 1 was already great and kept you glued to your book and now we move on to the sequel and we get the second part of Raff and Chloe's story. Once again you are stuck with your book and we find out more and there are many twists and turns. I also recommend reading this part, it is definitely worth it. I can't wait for the next part of this series.

Ahhhh! Im so obsessed with book two. It’s my favorite at the moment! I am so happy to know more about the bond mate than the first book and to know more about Raff’s family! This book is so exciting and has some great, sexy scenes 🫢🫢🫢

I can’t wait to see more of the story unfold! It’s getting so good.

Maria, you have done amazing job at keeping the interest going and great descriptions!

In book one I was pulled in right away with the suspense of the story, book two let me explore the characters more fully. Chloe faces the impossible choice of what her head tells her she should be thinking and what her heart pulls her to do. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Loved this book, especially as a continuation of the the Survival story. It's never slow and has just the right amount of back story, new characters, action, sex, and fun twists. I highly recommend starting with Book 1 and quickly moving on to this one! Can't wait for more.

need to buy book 3 now

In the second book of Survival we get a better look at Raff’s softer side. The pack cares for Chloe and the character development has been “chef’s kiss”. I’m getting attached to these characters and need to know what happens next.
