About the author

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Paige Baron, granddaughter of former Governor Baron, is a vintner. who lives and breaths grapes and wine making. Daniel Dupree, a former hockey star, is leading the delegation from the Comet’s hockey team visiting various cities trying to find them a new home. Why do Paige and Daniel meet you ask? When your grandfather asks for your help to help sell the Comets that Houston was the place for them, you don’t say no. The former governor was leading a group looking to bring the Comets to Houston.
From the full court press the Houston delegation put on showing Daniel the hockey arena, he knew this was a very serious bid. Add to the equation a very pretty woman named Paige and you get the man’s attention real fast. After the arena the next stop on the “get to know Houston” tour was Baron Cellars. Daniel first sees Paige up on ladder trying to change a light bulb. Next scene is Paige trying recover from almost falling off a ladder. Daniel is smitten from the first look. Paige and Daniel seem to be thrown together frequently during Houston bid. Daniel learns a lot about wine making and Paige learns a lot about Daniel. Hockey fans seem to keep coming and you have several instances where things can out of the woodwork everywhere they go, and they recognize Daniel. Who knew a southern city would have this many hockey fans? The Barons know exactly how to show off their city and they pull out all the stops to win this bid. Besides the Barons really were a close family and it soon became evident they really believed everything was bigger and better in Texas!
Throw in a hurricane, a runaway horse, a wine tasting competition and you have several instances where things can go really really bad or really right! Paige and Daniel are drawn to one another like moth to flame, but what happens to Houston’s bid? Well, you have to get the book to read all about what happens!

In " Daniel: Du bist mein Traum (Texas-Milliardäre Reihe 5) " hat Paige Baron das Weingut Baron Cellars auf Vordermann gebracht und betreibt es nunmehr erfolgreich.
Nun soll Paige ihrem Großvater, dem Gouverneur dabei helfen, ein Eishockeyteam nach Texas, genauer nach Houston zu holen. Dabei ahnt Paige nicht, dass sie sich zu Daniel, der sich die interessierten Städte ansehen soll, hingezogen fühlt und sich mehr mit ihm vorstellen könnte.
Daniel Dupree hat erfolgreich Eishockey gespielt, bis ein verheerender Unfall seine Profikarriere beendete.
Nun ist Daniel als Scout unterwegs, um einen neuen Wirkungskreis für das Eishockeyteam Comets zu finden.
Deswegen führt Daniels Weg ihn nach Texas und zu den Barons. Da diese den Sport in ihr Umfeld integrieren möchten.
So trifft Daniel auch auf Paige, eine der Enkeltöchter des Gouverneurs. Und plötzlich kann sich Daniel mit Houstons als neue Heimat der Comets mehr als anfreunden. Obwohl es in Texas nach Daniels Geschmack definitiv zu heiß ist.
Doch bekommt Houstons auch den Franchise Zuschlag der Comets? Und ist somit der Weg zu einer gemeinsamen Zukunft zwischen Paige und Daniel geebnet?
Auch treffen wir wieder auf liebgewonnene Protas der Vorgängerbände, wie zb den Gouverneur nebst Gattin Lila sowie Geschwister bzw Cousins und Cousinen von Paige.
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder in den Bann der Baron Familie gebracht, dabei bleibt sie abwechslungsreich sowie spannungsgeladen. Man darf mit Paige und Daniel mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende, tragische wie auch brisante Momente und die ein oder andere Träne zu vergießen.
Da ich erfahren wollte, ob und wie es für beide ein Happy End gab, konnte ich das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

This series is such a delightful group of clean, wholesome books focused around the wealthy Baron family of Texas. Chris Keniston's ever creative and entertaining plots keep me coming back for more.

After a devastating accident ended Daniel Depree's NHL career he found other ways to stay connected to the game he loves. Now he's touring the country visiting possible new locations for the NHL Comets. Houston wasn't on his short list but it seems there is a retired governor there determined to prove their city is a perfect fit for the Comets. When Daniel meets the man's stunning and vivacious granddaughter he's definitely giving it further thought.

Vintner Paige Baron was only doing her grandfather a favor agreeing to sit in on a meeting or two if it helped to convince Daniel Dupree and his committee to move the Comets to Houston. She has her hands full with an upcoming prestigious contests that could put her winery on the map. But it turns out spending time with the handsome and entertaining Daniel is no burden.

It's common knowledge that the Barons get what they want, until it seems that may no longer be the case. With Daniel and Paige living in different states will their blossoming love stand a chance?

Just One Taste by Chris Keniston is the fifth book in a series called Billionaire Barons of Texas. The premise of all the books follows a family who have money, power and influence. This novel focuses on Paige Baron. She has taken over the wine making portion of the Baron’s family. She is beginning to make some headways into the area. However, her grandfather has pulled her in to help him get a hockey team in Houston. She agreed to help with the first meetings, only to be pulled in more.

Daniel Depree was a hockey player until he couldn’t play anymore. He is now looking for a home for the Comets, a hockey team. The Governor has convinced them to check out Houston and asked his granddaughter Paige to help out. Too bad she didn’t know he was a vegetarian when she brought him to a steakhouse or he got seasick when she brought him on her brother’s boat.

Daniel really thought Houston wasn’t the place for a hockey team at first but slowly he is being drawn in. The fact that Paige is in Houston doesn’t hurt, but will the owner’s agree especially as another city has offered a better deal.

Once again I am in love with the Governor and his family. I love the storylines and the characters. Just One Taste by Chris Keniston is a good read.

What a sweet, wholesome story that sucked me right in from the beginning! I can totally see this story as a movie!

Daniel Dupree was a hockey star on top of his game for the Comets, until an accident one night. He's lucky to be alive and he's thankful for that. However, he can no longer play hockey. He missed the game as well as skating with his brother. He now travels around looking for potential places for his team. Never did he imagine Texas would be at the top of his list. Maybe it had something to do with the beautiful Paige Baren or maybe it was her grandfather, the former governor who always got what he wanted.

Paige runs the family winery. When Daniel Dupree from the NHL team the Comets is thinking of bringing his team to Texas and the governor can't show him around due to prior commitments, Paige is elected for the job.

I loved these characters so much! They were very relatable and were perfect for each other. This was a wonderful story with ups and downs, love and a happy ending. All my favorite things!

Paige die ihre Berufung in den Weinbergen gefunden hat ist unglaublich gut in dem was sie tut. Sie lebt für ihren Wein und will auch an einer Preisverleihung teilnehmen.

Daniel der nach Texas reist um für sein Eishockey-Team die passende Gegend zu finden, steht vor einen Rätsel. Texas ist nicht das was er sich gedacht hat, dort ist es mehr warm wie kalt und wie will man da eine Eishockeymannschaft unterbringen. Es stehen noch mehr Orte zur Wahl, die eigentlich besser geeignet wären, aber er will herausfinden, warum der General das Team in Texas haben will.

Womit er nicht gerechnet hat, ist Paige, eine Frau die in ihm etwas berührt, was er schon lange nicht mehr fühlte. Daniel war früher selber Spieler, aber ein Unfall sorgte dafür, dass er seinen Sport nicht mehr ausüben konnte. Andrer Wege haben sich ausgetan und nun muss er die beste Entscheidung für seinen Boss treffen.

Paige und Daniel sind ein unglaubliches Paar, was die beiden so alles erleben und ob Texas den Zuschlag erhält, muss man selber herausfinden.

Es knistert zwischen den beiden sofort und doch braucht es seine Zeit. Eine tolle Story, die von beiden so manches abverlangt und beiden doch auch vieles gibt. Ja auch hier gilt der Leitsatz, ein Baron bekommt immer was er will.

Eine ganz klare Kauf-Leseempfehlung.

Poor Daniel was going around to different cities all over the country who wanted the hockey team he was looking for a home to be in their city. Houston was one of the last cities, and the Barons were the head of the committee to get the team. I think when Paige and Daniel first saw each other, there was love in the air! I enjoyed watching the Barons pull out all the stops to get the team. I especially loved watching Daniel and Paige begin to fall in love. Paige was a sweetheart that loved her wine making. It was fun getting to know all the Barons and their personalities. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Paige Baron is turning the Baron Winery around. She’s serious about the wine, and she’s very good at what she does. All the Barons are. Her grandfather the former Governor tells her the possibility of the hockey team The Comets coming to Houston. A visit from the former hockey player Daniel Dupree is to be expected. He is after all meeting with her grandfather. What she doesn’t expect is to be left alone with him. What does her grandfather have up his sleeves?
She loves wine, and he loves hockey. What I found very sweet was when he compared dancing to hockey.

So buy the book. So much more to come.

Sweet, fun, and AWESOME! Chris Keniston does it again with the newest Billionaire Barons of Texas. In Just One Taste. Vintner Paige Baron is pulled into her grandfather's plan to bring a hockey team to Houston, but it doesn't take long for her to fall for the hunky hockey star who now works for management. She enjoys sharing the wonders of the Houston area, but naturally Texas has to put on a big show and not all of it if good.

As always this story of the Baron family is delightful. Paige Baron is the granddaughter of the governor .of Houston.He want a professional ice hockey team for their town and he wants Paige to help him get it. She operates a vineyard and makes wine. The Baron family always stick together . I love this series and the characters. Daniel Depree is a ex ice hockey player and team agent and the governor wants his team. Diesmal ist die Winzerin Paige Mittelpunkt des Geschehens.
Sie wird vom General als Betreuung für den ehemaligen Eishockey Star Daniel benutzt.
Denn der General möchte die Eishockey Mannschaft nach Texas holen.
Es ist so schön zu sehen wie sich langsam eine Beziehung entwickelt.
Auch dieser Band bringt uns den Barons und den Familienbeziehungen näher.
Mit neuen Erlebnissen der ganzen Familie.
Wunderbar unterhaltsam geschrieben. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt auf die nächste Geschichte

Oh wow, this book was amazing! There was a time I was on the edge of my seat, another hoping for the right decision, and another loving the way the family is. Paige & Daniel are perfectly in sync and I appreciate how their love grew in the story. I was gifted an ARC and I'm voluntarily sharing my honest opinion. I love this series and this is the best so far. I totally recommend this book

Daniel's job brings him to Paige. Will it keep them together or tear them apart? Loved this couple. Instant sparks but they know it might not be forever. He came through when a storm hits the winery. The Governor seemed to be up to more than arranging a deal with the hockey team - matchmaker maybe??? Great ending.

A battle of hearts that encompasses life, love and family. Keniston tests the boundaries of emotion with intriguing characters, tempting romance and soulful storytelling. Just One Taste is heartwarming at it's best. With a dash of spice and a splash of heart, Paige and Daniel are easy to love, yet hard to forget.

I love the Barons and they come to life in this series of books. The newest one, “Just One Taste”, is about the love story of Paige and Daniel. To me the best times in this series is when the Governor steps in to matchmake. Such a fun story. Cant wait for the next book in this series. Loved it.

The fifth book in the Billionaire Barons of Texas, another short great story. Paige Baron and Daniel Dupree's story. This series just gets better with each new story and again I was not disappointed. There are ups and downs as these two work toward a happy ending. I want to read the next book.
