“Violence may not solve everything, but it sure as f*ck makes me feel better.”

Between attempts to tame her out-of-control lightning magic and her job in security, every day has been a battle for untrained witch, Harlow. Which suits her “electrocute first, ask questions never” attitude.

When a strange blood moon vision forces Harlow to travel to the cursed remains of Spells Hollow, she must embrace the coven she's never known and discover its long buried secrets. Amongst the ruins of her ancestral home, four mysterious and powerful men will challenge her world view, and amplify her magic. Can she learn to trust them? Or will her cursed temper get the better of her?

There's a storm on the horizon, and this time, she won't be able to fight it alone.

The curse inside her is growing, and Harlow's running out of time to control her magic before it consumes her completely.

Warrior Witch is a standalone novel as part of The Cursed Coven of Spells Hollow shared universe series. This is a why choose novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest and doesn't choose between them. Please note this book contains MM scenes and is intended for audiences 18+.

2.9 Stars.

Why? Because I put this book down twice and only completed it because I was too far in to justify a DNF.

What I like? The found family especially when it came to Addie even more than Harlow. The writing, it's familiar every day prose/speak. Some of the humour. And while I did like the writing, the tone of the story at times was corny.

My greatest problem with the book is that we spend such a great chunk just wandering around in the woods of Spells Hollow waiting for fate to show the way that it bored me.

The smut was hot. For Ranto and Hendrix, it felt though like they had to fuck just because they were part of the eventual harem, unlike Bruin and Kylen where there was at least a build up of a relationship.

Have you ever watched the paranormal series Lost Girl? Harlow+Addie felt like a younger and more age gap filled version of Bo+Kenzie (or maybe I'm just projecting because I'd was in the middle of a rewatch of the show when I started this book).

So, wasn't bad, but wasn't the greatest. Might be tempted to go on with book 2 as I am interested in seeing how they revive a dead town and also how the witches meet to actually form a coven (because at the end of this, yes, they're a harem but they aren't in Spells Hollow).

Warrior Witch is the first book in the The Cursed Coven of Spells Hollow shared universe series. This is a standalone and can be read on it's own.

What an incredible start to this series. From the very beginning, Harlow was my absolute favorite. She's sassy, tough, and just likable all around. It's full of steam (with MM in the harem), mystery, set in a creepy town, fun characters, and a HEA. I'm soooo looking forward to reading the rest of this series!

Warrior Witch was such a good read. With various supernaturals, creepy towns, death loops, and magic I was getting strong Supernatural (the TV series) vibes. I loved it.

Harlow, the smartass that she is, is snarky and funny, I loved her take no shit attitude. She had me laughing but it wasn't just her, Harlow's found family was pretty great too. Lindsay's, Addie's, and Harlow's love for each other was touching. It looks like that little family is growing. This harem consists of varying supernaturals, all with different personalities but they came together because they have come to care for Harlow. The authors also managed to fit in plenty of spicy moments between Harlow and the guys.

I enjoyed the plot and the slightly spooky vibes. A flirty fun best friends, strange visions, and an MC out for revenge all sound like fun then add in the mystery surrounding the curse, of course, the story was interesting. I really enjoyed the backstory that Harlow and the guys figured out by piecing the clues together. My favorite part was the journalist entries, I'm a sucker for mixed media.

Since it was announced, I've been really looking forward to this series and Warrior Witch didn't disappoint. I have a feeling I know how the stories are connected and I can't wait to see how the varying authors tackle this world.

Such a great start to this shared universe series. I’m super excited to continue reading more like this one.

Idk who I liked the most, the FMC (who is a total bad A) or her guy best friend or their orphan friend. Usually books start with a side character who later on is tossed to the side of the road and hardly ever mentioned again, but not this book. It’s pretty short with a lot of characters but the author still made time for my 2 fave side characters who added everything to this book.

The harem built up over the course of the entire book but it felt natural. Nothing was ever forced. They came together to solve a mystery and the FMCs life. We have 2 main issues, a curse set to kill the FMC and an offended MC set out to kill the FMC for offending their president. Of course the author did a wonderful job of bringing the harem together, solving the mystery, curse and getting rid of the MC problem.

Looking forward to more books in this series

Warrior Witch by Katherine Isaac and TL Hamilton is a bewitching urban fantasy romance that is part of the Cursed Coven of Spells Hollow series and it will blow your mind! If you love a good urban fantasy romance full of fated prophecies and curses, magic and fates mates galore, intriguing mysteries and suspense, feisty heroines and hot Af alphas with loads of spicy chemistry then this is the one for you! Because Hallow, Kylen, Bruin, Hendrix and Ranto is where it’s at! I love how unique and special each one is and how gloriously they all come together when fate intervened and meshed them together it was utter perfection! This writing duo is new to me, but man do they have me sold!!

This book had an interesting storyline which kept me reading it, it’s definitely got a coming of age feel to it as our FMC discovers her role in life! Sleepy Hollow draws her in along with her men pulling them together for a wider purpose that’s linked to the town as well as her history 🙈 Although an interesting story I did feel there was a lack of depth in the characters and story overall, but still an intriguing read for those who like witchy why choose books.

"Little lightning rod, your time is as short as your temper. Seek your salvation in Spells Hollow."

Harlow is a Witch with a power of electricity which can sometimes come in handy when working at a club. Athough she can handle herself physically it helps to have a back up power where she can zap people with lighning! During an altercation with Grim Hearts MC she has a vision from the blood moon- she needs to go to a place called Spells Hollow or she is going to die. With her best friend Lindsay and stowaway Addie She sets off on an "Epic Road Trip Of Destiny" to try and avoid her untimely demise.

I loved this book! I really enjoy series like this, that comprise of standalone stories but have a thread running through them that tie them together. When they are written by different authors I also get to discover some new authors which is an added bonus. Both of the authors that wrote this book are already familiar to me and I have previously read and enjoyed books by both of them so I had a pretty good feeling that I was going to enjoy this and I was right! Spells Hollow is town in the middle of nowhere, a mysterious, abandoned town and Harlow with the help of her best friend and lovers that she meets along the way must discover how to break a curse to save Harlow. I loved the characters and the relationships that developed between them. This is a why choose romance with 2 out of the 4 male characters also developing an intimate relationship with each other as well as with the female character. The story flowed well and I liked that the story had a couple of chapters at the end to wrap the story up and show how the group would be going forward. Although we probably won't see these characters again as their story has reached their HEA this book has left me feeling excited for the rest of the series

Harlow is a witch who works for a club and is like a bouncer/Security worker. We first see her punching a man in the face. The male ends up being the president of the Motorcycle Club, after she humiliated him he wants revenge.

After she goes outside she ends up being ganged up on by Motorcycle Club members, with one of them holding an object to her throat as this happens she gets a vision about going to Spells Hollow to keep her alive.

She ends up going with her best friend Lindsey (Male), a friend of theirs who they really care about wants to go but Harlow says she can’t.
Unknown to Harlow, Addie sneaks into the boot and ends up on the journey with them. By the time they end up at Spells Hallow they end up with three extra people.

As they meet a male at the gas station and he tags along and then they come across a member of the motorcycle club who wants Harlow taken out.
They eventually reach Spells Hollow where Harlow finds a diary from someone who use to live there. As Spells Hollow is abandoned.

After finding out who her ancestors were she ended up running off into the woods and getting jumped on by a wolf, she was then saved by a Raiju who is her mate and also a PI.

This book is amazing and I’ve completely enjoyed this book just felt so sorry for Harlow as she’s seeing ghosts of ancestors going in front of her. Also knowing she could be cursed makes you feel for her.

It’s amazing story and can’t wait for next book.

Warrior Witch (The Cursed Coven of Spell Hollow Book 1) by TL Hamilton and Katherine Isaac is a paranormal romance. Harlow is a powerful witch that works as a bouncer in a club. Until on the blood moon she gets a vision warning her that her time is short and that she must travel to Spells Hollow. An deserted town that was cursed 300 years ago. On her quest she begins collecting men. Will they be able to help break the curse and find a HEA before it's too late?
I really enjoyed this story. It was fast paced and filled with suspense. Spells Hollow is filled with secrets. There are plenty of surprises and twists that make this book hard to put down. I read it in a day. I fell in love with the characters. Harlow is a complete badass yet she also has a vulnerable side readers get to see as well. There are plenty of hot men, a variety of witches and shifters. There is plenty of steam and even some MM that's included in the harem. There was great world-building that was enjoyable to discover.
I rated this story 5 out of 5 stars. I checked all my boxes for a great story that kept me engaged and I was sad to see it end even if it did have a HEA. I can't wait to check out the rest of the books in this series. If you enjoy paranormal romance with action, suspense, witches, shifters, magic, Curses, found family, why choose, and plenty of chemistry and steam then Warrior Witch is a great pick.

Good

A vision during a Blood Moon, sends lightning witch Harlow to Spells Hollow, the town where a curse has continued kill the descendants of the Nightshade Coven.
It’s where Harlow learns about her family history, and the curse she is destined to break- all while spending time with her chosen family, and the new mates she meets along the way.

This is a complete story, which means it feels a bit rushed in the ending; this is a shame because I did feel that it would have been nice to have a better understanding of the curse and the reasoning behind it, but perhaps subsequent books in the series address this.
This book features a lot of steam, including some MM scenes, and there is definitely a hint of insta-lust going on, partly due to fated mates, partly just the way the story works.

It’s an entertaining read, the history of the Cursed Coven is in fact quite intriguing, even as the brevity of the book didn’t quite give it its due. Not that the book is short, it isn’t, its just that the story has a lot of parts, and I own myself intrigued enough to want more, so I’m going to see if the next book in the series reveals a little more about the mysterious cursed town.
If you’re a RH fantasy fan, or an Urban Fantasy lover that doesn’t mind steamy scenes, then this is an enjoyable book with an engaging premise and a not too demanding read.

3.5 stars really

It started off well, I would say like 40 percent or so. It felt like urban fantasy at the beginning, which was interesting. Then, it was giving gothic fantasy vibes there for a while. I also liked the mystery involving the curse which pushed them to look for the cure. The found family vibes between Harlow, Lindsay and Addie was so heartwarming, just three foster kids who always looked out for each other as if they were blood related. I also liked the guys all coming together and their meet-cute (or maybe not so much) with the FMC...... Well, from there I had couple of issues with the story. Insta-lust was fine. Insta-connection of sorts. That was fine as well. But then, one moment I blinked and it was insta-love, insta-trust, insta-forget-what-you-thought-a-chapter-back about this person. It's all roses and lilies now. I couldn't connect with the characters and their relationships. I felt they were lacking emotions. I think there were few occasions where I felt empty spaces in the story, which could've been easily filled with some romance. Also, I wish we could have seen more of the guys powers in the ending fight or anywhere else really.

Still, this was an okay one time read and I don't regret picking this up. I am also curious about the town. I thought I knew what was going to happen to that, so I am probably going to read the next books as well.

Epic Road Trip of Destiny!

A particularly good start to a compelling series. A lot of information packed in this first book, building a world, and bringing us into the “Epic Road Trip of Destiny!” I was confused throughout the book how this would turn into a series, until close to then end. I am sure you will figure it out too. I look forward to the next adventure in this series.

This book took us along with Harlow, on her adventure of love and survival; with some humor woven throughout the book. I enjoyed reading this book with the interesting characters and a riveting story. I really enjoyed how unique all the characters were and their group dynamics. There is so much I could say about this book and the characters, but I do not want to talk your ear off or give too much away. It is amazing how much information the authors were able to pack into this book. It is a read I would recommend experiencing for yourself. This spicy tale was intriguing, and I am sure you will get drawn in too.

The first book in the series related to Spells Hollow, a magical, cursed, abandoned place where a coven was once obliterated, we follow Harlow, a witch commanding electricity, on her quest (Epic Road to Destiny or whatever they called it) to find out more about herself, break a curse, and deal with a particularly annoying MC. The story was rather easy-flowing and fast paced, though the insta-love and mating was a bit too fast to my liking, without any actual development, just jump right into the action; also, I found some elements a bit infantile. Other than that I really enjoyed the magic, took instant liking to Addie and Hendrix, facepalmed a lot when it comes to Lindsay and the clothes selection, and definitely enjoyed some of the steamy scenes. The plot itself is rather simple, more focus put on the RH building (considering the number of participants and the relatively short length of the story, there isn't room for much else) but if you are a fan of the insta RH PNR love with plenty of hot scenes, go for it. I would explore the Spells Hollow more in the next books.

Starting a new shared world is always exciting. It’s the first moment to explore the background that will influence so many different characters, and even though it’s usually not necessary to read all the standalones in a shared world, I like to explore the world as a whole. Still, in “Warrior Witch” I became more enamored with the characters than the world. That doesn’t mean a bad thing about the world building; it means the characters were extremely easy to fall in love with!

Our fmc Harlow is the perfect mix between vulnerability and badassery. The family she built around her with bff Lindsay and their “little sister” Addie was already great at the start. Watching the family grow with Harlow’s new mates only made it better and better every single time. The MM relationship between two of her mates felt like the cherry on top for me. The only downside, honestly, was that I would have loved a longer story. The touch of humor, mixed with action, suspense and spice created a great story and I was just sad when it was done.

Loved this book, and have high hopes for the standalone series. The world building was immaculate, and the characters were chefs kiss perfect. I love how imperfect they all are, and how their flaws and quirks are highlighted, but not really looked down on either. It’s an accepted part of their personalities.
I also enjoyed that you have just about every personality covered as well. The spitfire, the golden retriever, the grumpy/angsty one, the wildcard, and the one who just rolls with everything and takes it with a smile. The skill the author has to make all of them work well together, made the book such a great read. You couldn’t wait to see what the characters were going to do next, or sometimes even just say next.
I also really enjoyed that it wasn’t just about her and her men. Her bestie and essentially “little(stowaway) sister” were also along for the Road Trip to destiny. It’s been so long since I’ve read such an amazing witch book. I’m so happy I loved it as much as I do.

My only complaint about this book is that I don’t get as much background on these characters as I want… And I wish I got more interaction between the characters but I get that there’s only so much that you can fit in about 200 pages. I would absolutely not have been upset if this had been like a 600 page book. But that being said I loved so much about this book! I loved the tension between the main characters, the spice was fantastic and there was spice where I wasn’t expecting there to be spice, which was extra awesome. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorites and seeing an extreme version of that blossom into what it does at the end of the book was fabulous. I loved seeing Harlow grow her chosen family and the bonds outside of “smexy” bounds grow too.

Lindsey is great (Love Addie too) and I’d love a little side story for either of those two. I’m sad to see that Harlow’s story ends here, but I’m excited to see what other authors bring into this shared world.

Oh I think I’m gonna love this series a lot! Harlow gets a mysterious vision & goes on a quest to find its meaning. Her claimed family joins her & she ends up finding her mates throughout the story. I really liked her bad@ss lightning power & her snarky banter was hilarious, especially when taunting the grumps (Bruin, her boss, & occasionally Hendrix). Bruin was the embodiment of enemies to lovers. Kylen is nerdy but secretly dominant when he wants to be. Ranto is like an excitable puppy (pun unintended.. maybe). Hendrix was mostly grumpy but I think mostly introverted by default & reluctant to believe in fate. Only thing I was left curious about was the wolf who attacked her that was able to absorb her powers. Also honorable mention to the dedication page lol cause my daughter is also always trying to read my books if I leave them open.

I think i am going to love this shared world!

Great opener of a book with plenty of info on how the Coven was originally cursed done in a way that was enjoyable to read rather than just an info dump.

Harlow way dynamic, engaging and fun with enough sass and snark to ensure that you cant help but love her! and Addie the adopted little siss has even more which is so much fun as it has a naeivety that only youth brings!

The only issue ever with a stand alone is that you always end up wanting more time to build the relationships and create depth which isn't always possible with in a set page count but the authors do enough and do it well in this book so that you don't feel that any of the guys are short changed.

In short it was a really enjoyable ready which also sets the scene for the rest of teh books in this series!

I have been so ridiculously excited about this book and this series and we started with a bang that's for sure. Harlow grew up in the system with her bestie Lindsey and the teenage Addie. It's our first introduction to the world of Spells Hollow and I loved every moment of it. At this point, I want to marry Harlow and I definitely don't want to unalive Bruin so I guess that leaves...well you know.

We have a whole cast of characters, some are witches, some are shifters and they all come together by chance to journey to Spells Hollow with a quest that they don't even understand, to begin with. Harlow really is a warrior, she's sassy and smart and knows how to look after herself and her found family.

I admit I got to the end and wanted more, but there is more to come with a whole group of authors writing the different books in this series and I can't wait!

Witches!

The first book in this shared world by a collection of great authors was very entertaining. I love a sassy FMC, and Harlow was that and more. Add in other witches, a griffon, a surly biker, and a dog...that isn't a dog. Sold!

A vision leads Harlow on an adventure with her amazing bestie, Lindsay, and a stowaway. But no one could be mad with Addie, she's too adorably sassy. And on their way to Spells Hallow, they come across some more people to join on their trip into a cursed town.

Harlow will discover her ties to this place. She'll also find herself drawn to a few men that she met on her way. You'll have to read to find out Bruin's motive or if Hendrix finds his treasure. I can tell you that Ranto isn't quite what he seems and Kylen is a softie, but has a dominant side too.

This is the first in a new collection of connected standalones, and it's a great foundation for the series, setting up the why and what of the mysteriously abandoned town.

Harlow is a witch, working bar security when she gets a vision directing her to Spells Hollows, leading to a road trip with her BFF, and various people the find along the way.

The story combines the road trip, an investigation into the history of the town, a battle with a dodgy MC, and the coming together of a found family. Sounds like a lot, but it all ties together wonderfully. I loved the characters, and there's plenty of steam and spicy to keep your attention, too.

Overall, it's a fun read, and a great way to introduce Spell Hollow. I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes us, and I'm hoping for cameos and cross overs throughout!

WITCH, PLEASE!

This is the first book in a new collection of connected standalones. It definitely setup a great foundation for the series. A mysterious town and smexy witches, yes please.

Harlow, our FMC, is a witch. She’s working bar security when she gets a vision directing her to Spells Hollows. What do you do when you get a vision telling you to head to some mysterious town? Grab your bestie and go on a road trip! They pick up some stragglers along the way, so that’s fun.

What do you get out of this book? I know, let’s get the important question out of the way. Yes, there is spice… Obviously you get a fun road trip, an investigation into the history of the town, battling a dodgy MC, and the coming together of a found family.

The author did an asking job of getting the series setup and kept my attention! I can’t wait to read the rest and hope to see Harlow again!

I loved following Harlow’s journey—discovering who she is and watching her try to mend what’s broken in Spells Hollow made for such an engaging story. My favorite part was seeing fate weave its mysterious threads throughout the book. Each of the guys entered the story in such unique ways, too. Kylen’s chance meeting with Harlow and Addie felt both completely random and absolutely perfect.

Ranto brought exactly the kind of comedic relief the story needed (his bit about Addie had me laughing out loud). Hendrix’s treasure hunt was another major highlight, and I loved how that storyline unfolded.

Towards the end the book felt kind of rushed and I was desperately aching to know what more about Harlow's ancestry and how it all connected. Definitely keen to see what else gets pieced together in the other books.

Harlow and Lindsay had been come family since they were both 5 and orphans, together threw thick and thin. Harlow works as part of the security team at Cassandra's Bane. Lindsay was a bartender there. Harlow finds out she must go to Spells Hollow, she is not sure why, something about her being cursed, so off her and Lindsay go on the road trip when they find out that Addie has hidden in the truck of the car. A young orphan that Harlow and Lindsay have come to emotionally adopt as family. Along the way they encounter some other characters with their own stories. There is laughs, curse words like “fated mate”and enough hi-jinks to keep you turning the pages to find out what is going to happen next.

Great Story

On the night of a blood moon, Harlow gets vision that will change her life forever. Aloing the way, she meets for men whose lives become linked to hers, each in their pen way.
I really enjoyed this story and loved following Harlow on her journey. My only issue is that I really didn't feel more than a friend bond between her and Kylen and thought the physical relationship between them was forced on in the end. I don't mind mm in my books, but I think if it's within the RH then the relationship with the woman should be solidified first, unless the mm relationship is already there. Didn't ruin the story for me. just dampened it a little. I highly recommend for anyone that likes this genre.

Harlow gets a vision on the night of the blood Moon, and it forces her to travel to Spells Hallow to find out its meaning. She meets four men along the way who help her open up and not only grow/control her lightning magic, but also show her love like she's never known before.

I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. The description felt a little generic and I thought it would turn out to be similar to other reverse harem romances, but I was wrong. Isaac and Hamilton have created an incredible story, likable characters, and hit every mark you want in a romance. It may have the basis of a stereotypical young witch finding herself plot, but they've put a different spin that made you feel like it was different.

"Warrior Witch" by Katherine Isaac and TL Hamilton is a steamy urban fantasy romance. Harlow, an untrained witch with lightning magic, finds herself uncovering secrets of her coven in the cursed Spells Hollow. Four powerful men amplify her magic and challenge her worldview. The book is filled with action, magic, and sizzling romance.

While the plot was engaging, the number of characters was a bit confusing at times. The steamy scenes were well-written, though, and added to the enjoyment. With fewer characters or a focus on side characters in future books, the story could have been even better.

Overall, "Warrior Witch" is a good read with plenty of steam, magic, and intrigue. Looking forward to more from this series.

Great book, really enjoyed the story.

Harlow is a lightning witch with anger and control issues. We are first introduced to her working at a club as a bouncer... a job that she thoroughly enjoys! We follow her and her friends (found family) on a journey to uncover the curse herself and her lost family have found themselves under for centuries.

Fate throws several men in her path along the journey, with a lot of self discovery amongst the characters relationships develop and an even bigger found family is formed with Harlow and Addie at the centre.

HEA, quite a bit of spice and some MM. Great standalone and looking forward to reading more from this world!
