Flawless - 3.5-4⭐️
I like it. I did enjoy the slow burn between Summer and Rhett. They both were chasing something but it was hard for them to put finger down on what it really was.
I like the fact they weren’t “strictly business” during Rhett’s image recovery and that Summer looked at him differently than everyone else; she cared and supported him but also, like his family, wanted him to see life outside bull ring.
Ohh, and Rhett. He might be a wild one but when Summer was involved, he went full in.


Heartless - 5⭐️
Love it since the very beginning.
Cade and Willa, what a duo. 😂🥵
Willa is just my person. She’s so BAD.A.S.S! She was good, wild at the beginning but then just unstoppable, more than sunshine to grumpy Cade, she made me laugh so many times….well, who haven’t loved her 🤷‍♀️

Cade and Luke, a package deal. Luke who loved her instantly and Cade…was Cade. Since he never had easy way and always thought about people around him (just like Summer), it was good to see him start prioritizing himself fully without second guessing.

The story was amazing but let me tell you, THE spice, omfg 🥵🔥🥵🔥
(Shhh, I kinda hoped his ex-wife would see them in the kitchen 😂)

Powerless - 3⭐️
It might not top book 2 but it was good to know Sloane and Jasper’s story, especially Jasper’s.
I like the vibe they had, very slow burn but happy ever after was a must for them.

Reckless- 5⭐️
My second favorite so far.
Theo and Winter’s story was so good. So easy to read (and sad to take a break for sleep in between).
Theo is “a walking gold heart”, especially towards Winter and Vivi. From wild boy in book 1 to an amazing men, dad, friend, partner, son and so on. Honestly, he hasn’t disappointed me once. He was where he wanted and needed to be. Always ready for Winter to take under his “wing” and show her how amazing and special she is.

And Winter; after a long way she finally got happiness in her life. With Theo and everyone around, she received unconditional and selfless love and friendship. She didn’t need perfection in her imperfect life, while chaos was her future….their future together.

3.5⭐️ I downloaded and read the Christmas novella but they don’t have it on goodreads so using this to document it as being read…

It was short, fun and so nice to be back in the chestnut springs universe🥹 it has 5 chapters and each one gives a little insight into each couple from either Rhett’s, Cade’s, Jasper’s, Theo’s or Beau’s POV. This series is one of my all time favs, with powerless and reckless being my particular favourites. As it’s a short story, there’s no real depth and some might say it’s not necessary but Christmas in chestnut springs? I wna read about that😍

Every single one of these was sweet, sexy, and just what I want for Christmas. The Willa and Cade story was def my fav, but Summer and Rhett were a close second place.

I only read Reckless which is the 5th book in the series, and I wouldn't recommend skipping the others. I felt like every other scene was an allusion to a couple or something that happened in the previous books and I'd be so confused. Also the couple just incessantly flirts. I love me so good back and forth, but it gets tiring after 400 pages

I devoured the whole series. I could not put it down. Wholesome characters, hard to decide which is my favourite. I especially like the heroines, for me they represent what is feminine (sweet, caring and funny are not contradictory to smart, determined and strong). The stories warm the heart and other things. I loved the way the author handled the steamy scenes. Only in book 3, the spicy scenes were a bit too much, which made it boring. I would have liked to know more about Jasper's past.
Recommended. I will continue reading everything that Elsie writes.

Reckless and Heartless are my favorites out of this series. I love both couples so dearly and couldn’t choose which one I wanted on top (In the end it was Reckless, sorry Cade, but Theo’s just 🏆)

Kelima buku ini menceritakan tentang Eaton bersaudara yang tinggal di Chesnut Springs, Canada. Kisah 3 pria bersaudara dan 2 teman yang menemukan tambatan hatinya, masing-masing dapat porsi satu buku.

#1. Flawless - 3/5
Rhet Eaton, si bungsu yang berprofesi sebagai Bull Ryder bikin ulah, video saat ia menuang susu ke kloset tersebar di internet dan membuat sponsor perusahaan susu menarik dananya.

Kip Hamilton sebagai agennya Rhet ngamuk doang. Diutuslah Summer, anak perempuannya yang baru lulus kuliah dan magang diperusahaannya, untuk menjadi asisten Rhet.

Tugasnya mengikuti Rhet 24 jam dan mendokumentasikan seluruh kegiatan Rhet di media sosial. Rhet yang awalnya risih dibuntutin lama-lama terbiasa. Berdua mereka menjadi tim yang kompak sampai timbul rasa cinta diantara mereka berdua.

Konflik standarlah ya, hubungan profesional dengan pribadi yang tipis batasnya.

#2. Heartless - 2/5

Kisah antara single dad dan baby sitter anaknya, dengan age gap yang lumayan jauh. Tema yang biasanya saya hindari untuk dibaca, cuma karena udah terjebak untuk baca komplit, mau nggak mau saya baca juga.

Saya nggak paham kenapa banyak yang suka sama buku ke 2 ini. Menurut saya Cade Eaton bisa dapet pasangan yang lebih dari Willa. Geregetan banget lihat Willa yang kampungan dan urakan. Sementara si Cade ini hot single dad idaman banyak wanita.

#3. Powerless - 1/5

Tema klasik 2 orang yang terjebak dalam friendzone selama bertahun-tahun.

Jasper, si anak angkat Eaton (yang nggak resmi) sejak remaja menyukai Sloane, sepupu cantik keluarga Eaton. Namun si Jasper yang minder merasa dia tidak sejajar dengan keluarga Sloane.

Walaupun Jasper sudah menjadi atlet terkenal dan bergelimang harta, jiwa mindernya masih aja melekat. Sloane terlalu cantik, terlalu kaya, terlalu ini itu dan sebagainya.

Menurutnya menjadi sahabat Sloane aja udah wah banget. Terlalu muluk kalau ia berharap lebih.

Banyak alasan deh si Jasper ini. Bosen bacanya, geregetan sama Jasper yang pasif tapi ngarep tak berkesudahan.

#4. Reckless - 4/5

Dari semua buku, seri yang ini yang lumayan bisa membuat saya nggak bisa berhenti baca saking serunya.

Berawal dari one night stand, Winter ternyata hamil. Dengan panik ia mencari tahu kontak si pria dari Google.


Winter : Hi, it’s Winter. Is this Theo Silva? Are you getting my voicemails? I’ve left three now.
Theo : Yes. I’ve gotten your voicemails. I’m not interest in talking.
Winter : Listen, I’m trying not to be a full-on bitch to you right now. But can you please call me? I need to tell you something.
Theo : Then tell me.
Winter : Via text?
Theo : Yup.
Winter : Fine. That night in the hotel, a condom must have broken, I’m pregnant. The baby is yours. Thought that might interest you.
Theo : Thanks for letting me know.

Gitu doang responnya. Sialan kan?

Setahun kemudian tanpa sengaja mereka menjadi tetangga sebelah. Theo heran, mengapa Winter selalu bete dan emosi tiap diajak ngobrol Theo. Ketika Winter di puncak amarah, “Kamu nggak nyadar kalo itu anakmu?”

Duarrr, bagai tersambar petir, Theo kebingungan. Usut punya usut ternyata SMS yang dulu dikirimkan Winter salah sasaran. Si cowok tidak pernah menerima SMS tersebut.

Setelah kesalah-pahaman beres. Perpektif mereka pun berubah. Winter pun akhirnya memberikan kesempatan kepada Theo untuk membuktikan bahwa ia bisa menjadi ayah yang bertanggung jawab

#5. Hopeless - 5/5

Beau dan Bailey bertetangga sejak kecil. Bedanya Beau dari keluarga baik-baik dan terpandang, sementara Bailey dari keluarga berandalan.

Banyak yang bilang buku ini yang terburuk, padahal menurut saya malah yang terbaik. Ide ceritanya lumayan unik. Tunangan pura-pura untuk taruhan mereka.

Bailey merasa sulit mendapat pekerjaan yang bagus karena background keluarga preman membuat reputasinya jelek di Chesnut Spring, sehingga banyak perusahaan menolak untuk merekrutnya.

Sebaliknya Beau Eaton merupakan anak laki-laki dari keluarga baik dan terpandang. Saat dia bikin ulah, cuma dianggap angin lalu dan dimaklumin warga.

Bailey rada iri pada Beau, “Ya elu, enak, dari keluarga terpandang. Sebaik-baiknya aku tetep aja citraku jelek.”

Beau yang iseng dan kurang kerjaan punya ide taruhan dengan mengajak Bailey untuk menjadi tunangan pura-pura sampai Bailey mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak.

Mereka berdua ingin membuktikan, apakah dengan tunangan nama Bailey menjadi baik? Kalau bisa berarti Beau yang menang dan Bailey yang kalah.

Sebetulnya series buku ini biasa aja. Saya nggak menemukan sisi menarik dari buku-buku ini. Terlalu biasa untuk saya.

Namun kehebohan buku ini membuat Netflix tertarik untuk membuat serialnya. Saya berharap lebih bagus dari bukunya sih, yang penting pemain-pemainnya kudu cakep.

I absolutely loved this series! It was so special to read this with my best friend raluca and it was such a fun experience overall! I loved the chestnut springs and all of the fun characters within this world. It was so nice to be lost within this beautiful place and it will always have a special place in my heart, I love it🫶🏼

OBSESSED!! this is my new favourite book series! as much as i love all things country, i never thought i’d enjoy a country/ranch/cowboy romance - but i’m hooked! i read these books back to back and i couldn’t put them down! i’m so excited to start reckless the second i can! the witty banter, family relationships and friends/family dynamics in all these books have my heart and i will forever be recommending this series!

The Chestnut Series by Elsie Silver has become one of my favorite series. Each one of these books pulled at my heart strings. Everything so raw. Life can be messy… it can get chaotic at times, but we always pull through. Whether we find a way ourselves, family, or a new person enters our life that gives us a new outlook. Life can have its struggles but you don’t have to handle them on your own. I loved that each woman in these stories are strong in their own way. I loved that each man was there to stand by their side… not in front of them but next to them. There are real life issues that occur in this series, and the author did an excellent job of listing the triggers in the front of the books. If you are looking for a heartfelt series that keeps you turning the pages, I highly recommend this one.

This is probably the fastest I have ever read a series. It hits all the check marks of any romance readers desires. If you love a certain trope this series has got it! Only one bed, Nanny, childhood best friend, forced proximity, and best of all? The SPICE! As you read make sure the pages are fanning you because wow! After you read this series all you will be thinking about is running away to a small-town to live on a ranch with a cowboy like man. Elsie Silver’s Hero’s are dare I say…..”Flawless” 🤭

This is a serious I never thought I needed nor wanted but I am fully in my cowboy era and here I was thinking they where boring clearly I don’t know anything !!!!!

This series after I finished hopeless left me started at the wall for longer than I’d like to admit tbh but I was so attached to the characters it felt like losing friends as I got closer to the end but the ending was so sweet and was so happy they all got what they deserved
