It wasn’t until I got older that I realized one thing; imaginary friends are never imaginary.

From wily witches to elusive spirits and malevolent demons, delve into realms of magic and mystery where you just might encounter the most chilling entity of all—humanity. Crumpled Papers and Empty Caskets is a collection of nine short stories exploring the things that go bump in the night. This anthology pairs a variety of genres and settings to remind us that for everything we think we know, there is inexplicable darkness waiting in the shadows.

“In related news, two teens were reported missing this morning…”

Crumpled Papers and Empty Caskets: An Anthology includes short stories from Brandee Paschall, Brig Berthold, Christian Carter, Ciar Pfeffer, Emma Jane Lounsbury, Kelly Virens, M.D. Casmer, Maile Starr, and Nelle Nikole.

I really enjoyed this anthology!! It's a perfect blend of genres while still pertaining to horror. It's perfect for the season. Honestly, I can't wait to see more from the authors who contributed.

Highly Recommend. 5/5

I expected more horror when reading these stories and some of them just felt kind of rushed and I got kind of confused reading them. I've never read a book similar to this genre (the genre being short horror stories), so it could be that this was just a one-off experience that I just didn't prefer. So I'm willing to give others a chance that are similar, but this one only gets two stars.
