Carolina Christmas #1

The Asheville Christmas Cabin

Rate this book
The first of a charming, heartwarming holiday trilogy that will whisk you away to a dreamy winter in the mountains. With sweet romance, strong family bonds, and an uplifting story of hope and joy, this is the perfect Christmas collaboration between two beloved women’s fiction authors!

When the Chambers sisters receive an invitation from their jet-setting aunt to spend the entire month of December at the family’s cabin in Asheville, North Carolina, they have one question -- why? The retreat, tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, may be the site of many happy childhood holidays and summers spent enjoying the beauty of the area and each other…but it also holds sad memories. The sisters, and their aunt, have spent twenty-five years avoiding the cabin and renting it to strangers. Why would Aunt Elizabeth want her “dearest darling” nieces to put their busy lives in three different states on hold and spend a month in the mountains?

Eve, Angie, and Noelle, triplets born on Christmas Day, owe their very lives to their aunt, and they agree they must go. Once there, not only do they learn to let go of the past and embrace a bright future, they all start to see their lives in a new way.

Big city girl Noelle comes face-to-face with her first love...and feelings for this single dad are strong, tempting her with a small town lifestyle that she never imagined she’d embrace. Eve, a stressed-out mother of three, revels in the change of scenery and begins to learn the art of letting go of complete control. And when Angie’s rocky marriage truly cracks, she finds a new kind of joy with a connection to the past and a reconnection with her daughter.

Can one Christmas in Asheville change everything? Join these strong, funny, and loving women as the holiday spirit lifts them as high as the Blue Ridge Mountains, and promises a whole new life ahead.

I started listening to this when it snowed here in KY the other day. This is not the typical book I read, but I really enjoyed it. It was like listening to a Hallmark movie. I loved the strong theme of family values.

This was just the coziest, sweetest family Christmas story ❤️ Sisters, a cabin, a little family history and no major drama. And there are more in the series ~ they all make up on Christmas season!

This was a nice family christmas novel. I liked the setup and how we got to learn about the family and their history. There were a few moments that made me roll my eyes, but that's fine. I'll eventually continue reading this series.

I love both authors on their own, but together, they give us a holiday trilogy that will warm your heart. Lots of feels, discovery, and the love only family can provide.

Centered around triplets Eve, Angie, and Noelle, we meet them on a girl's Thanksgiving. They get an email from their Aunt Elizabeth asking them to come to the cabin for December. It has been twenty five years since they have been together here. As they begin the month-long stay, they learn more about their lives, reflect on the past, and plan for the future. I am looking forward to the next book.

Thank you to the Authors for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

The author was too ambitious. Triplet sisters, born on Christmas, all struggling with separate issues, and all resolved during a visit to their family's Ashville, NC cabin. More far-fetched than your average Hallmark Christmas movie.

A Hallmark style holiday story

I searched Kindle Unlimited for "Hallmark Christmas," and this was one of the top results. It's a delightful start to a trilogy, especially if you've ever been to Asheville. It doesn't stand alone as a novel, but since the other books are published, you can read them all at once.

The first few chapters are a bit clunky with exposition, but once the characters and setting are established, the chapters are fun and easy to read. I'm excited for the next book!

Harlequin romance at its best. 3 sisters, triplets, are beckoned back to a cabin they have not been to in 25yrs. The year their parents were killed 2 days after Xmas. But, their aunt beckons them back to spend the month of December. Also, to celebrate their Xmas birthday. Meet Eve, Angela, and Noelle. This book ends open, so to find out all their stories, you are going to have to read the series.

Basically a hallmark movie in book form, set in one of my favorite places in the world. The way I hollered when they mentioned Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack. 😂 This one hooked me enough that I’m excited to finish the rest of the series!

Individually, Hope Holloway and Cecelia Scott have penned some of my favorite series of the past few years. Together, these two authors have merged their talents to mix up heart-tugging holiday magic in a new trilogy that is not to be missed.

Set in Asheville, North Carolina (these mountains are a character all on their own), Holloway and Scott have created a cast of multi-generation characters who engaged my interest and emotions, immersing me in the ups and downs of their lives, relationships, fears, and dreams with plenty of laughter, and a few other emotions, along the way. The steam is low but the emotion is soul deep as relationships are tested, long-held beliefs are challenged, new opportunities are presented, and romance is on the horizon if certain characters have the courage to take the leap. I'm all-in and eager to take this three-book journey with Eve, Angie, Noelle and the rest. As the triplets approach their 40th birthday, they all find themselves at a crossroads in their lives. I'm eager to discover which paths they choose, where those decisions take them...and if six-year-old Sawyer ever finds that elusive bear.

The Asheville Christmas Cabin (27 Oct. 2023) is going straight to my keeper shelf (where I'm sure it will be revisited) and I've already marked my book calendar for the next two installments: The Asheville Christmas Gift (10 Nov. 2023) and The Asheville Christmas Wedding (1 Dec. 2023).

This is a wonderful, heartwarming, and emotional book just perfect for the Christmas season. Triplets Eve, Angel, and Noelle, born at Christmas, come together for a shared Christmas/40th birthday at the family cabin with their aunt, unaware of the changes and opportunities each will encounter. It’s the first of a trilogy that centers on family, love, happiness, and what’s important in life. I was hooked from the beginning and am excitedly waiting for the next book!

Loved it!!

Oh my goodness, this book was amazing! It’s a good, clean feel-good story. I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a while. It helped a lot that one of the sisters visited Biltmore House! I highly recommend this book!! Beth

Wow! I couldn't put this down! A delightful story about triplet sisters, and their wonderful aunt Elizabeth, who became their "parent" when their parents were killed in an auto accident when they were about 15 years old. It's a lovely story about reconnecting with family, working through life changes, and opening up to new possibilities. The characters were wonderful and I can't wait to read the next Book to find out what's happening next!

Triplet sisters, Eve, Angie and Noelle, were orphaned when they were 15 years old. Their Aunt Elizabeth stepped in to become their parent. She loved them and cared for them and because she was well to do, she helped them see the world.

Now Eve is married to a doctor who is busy nearly 24 hours out of every day. They have three little boys who are wonderful people.

Angie lives in California with a husband who cares nothing for her nor her feelings. He treats her rudely. Angie has a teenage daughter who also treats her rudely.

Noelle is single, lives in New York and has a very glamorous life. She has followed in her Aunt Elizabeth’s footsteps. Success and very hard work are part of the package for her life.

Now Aunt Elizabeth has asked the three girls to come to the family cabin in North Carolina because she has important news. The girls have not been to the cabin since the night their parents were killed in an auto accident. Although it was once filled with life and joy and love, it had become a place with terrible memories.

This book is about the triplets evaluating their lives. It is about people looking closely for what is truly their best life. It is about finding the path that will bring joy.

This is about love of family. This is about being reminded about you personal value, Most of all it is about the surprises that life holds for everyone.

I liked the book very much. I enjoyed the light and joy that is shown. There is humor and romance.

I did not like the realization that I must buy 2 more books in order to find the end to the stories for the triplets.

I have already purchased both books. I know I will enjoy them. But, it is a disappointment.

A solo escape to a snowy cabin in Asheville should be the perfect way to avoid emotional turmoil—not walk straight into it. But in The Asheville Christmas Cabin, the holidays don’t believe in personal space, and neither does fate. Cue one scenic mountain getaway, one unexpectedly broody love interest, and enough snowstorm-induced forced proximity to make things very complicated.

Our heroine is trying to start over (because of course she is), and this picturesque Christmas cabin seems like the perfect place to do it. But then he shows up—handsome, emotionally guarded, and carrying just enough baggage to make this trip way more complicated than the travel brochure promised. The tension? Immediate. The banter? Top-tier. The unavoidable "oh no, this attraction is real" moment? Chef’s kiss. As the snow piles up outside, so do the feelings, forcing them both to decide whether they’re willing to let go of the past and embrace something new—or if they’re going to be just as frozen as the roads outside.

At 4.5 stars, The Asheville Christmas Cabin is exactly what I want in a holiday romance—atmospheric, emotional, and just messy enough to feel real. It’s a standalone, but if you’re planning to continue with the Carolina Christmas series, this is a strong first stop. If you love stories where the holidays force people to get their emotional lives together, this one belongs on your winter TBR. And if you also wouldn’t mind getting snowed in with a ruggedly handsome stranger? Listen, we’ve all had that fantasy.
