I absolutely love this series and these couples. We have Nova, our FMC, who is Dane’s (book 2) sister and who’s also happens to be the boss of Jax, our MMC.
Nova has come a long way after her incident but of course she isn’t the same. The past starts catching up and the one person she gives herself to is hiding a secret that will changed everything. She’s out for revenge and won’t stop until she gets the answers she is longing for.
The intensity between these two is wild. It’s just waiting to burst. Definitely slow burn but when it hits, it definitely does not disappoint. I was not expecting the turn of events and when the truth was finally revealed.
This was such an enjoyable read! Romantic suspense done well. It kept me thinking of what’s going to happen next. I highly recommend to read this series. Rene Wolfe is definitely an author that needs more recognition.

Enjoyed reading Nova and Jax's story. Nova has not been able to find resolution to the trauma she experienced and finds it a challenge to commit, until Jax enters the picture. She and Jax have worked together for a while and the attraction is present. When the two finally decide to give into the attraction, secrets and the past will eventually arise to threaten this fragile relationship.
Ugly Consequences is book four in the Love's Reckoning series and it was a quick read. Nova is battling a past trauma and wanting revenge while Jax tries to break through the wall Nova has built around her heart. Will he succeed in healing her or will the secrets untold destroy them.
There were a few passages that were questionable, where it did not flow but, overall this was nice read.
