{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Suddenly, he stepped back, breaking the contact, and the surge of loss took her by surprise. As if her body recognized its other half and now refused to live without it. Eyes wide, lips swollen, she stared at him with rising horror, recognizing what they’d just done. They’d ruined everything.

The romance between Harper Bishop and Aidan O’Connor was an incredibly slow burn. These are two people who each have been burned by their painful past. They’re both loners who enjoy the companionship of animals over people. I found their characters to be relatable. The plot is what held my attention. Harper runs the family Horse rescue farm. She has a huge and tender heart when it comes to animals in need. Aidan is a professional horse trainer who was forced to leave Ireland to rebuild his reputation in the horse racing circuit. He convinces Harper and her siblings to hire him on in order to help train the beautiful horse Harper rescued, named Phoenix, who has severe behavioral issues.

Honestly, I was more invested in Phoenix’s story and the adorable friendship that develops between him and the sweet little goat that Harper and Aidan rescued from nearly being euthanized. I fell instantly in love with little Captain Hoof, with his anxiety issues and who only felt a sense of calmness when wearing a chicken costume and being near his best buddy Phoenix. Once Harper and Aidan stopped fighting their feelings for each other, I started to care about the couple as well. These two were perfect for each other and their little family of fur babies made the couple endearing. If you’re looking for a sweet and sexy romance with an engaging plot, this one is sure to please.

Here are my overall ratings:

Hero: 4
Heroine: 4
Plot: 4.5
Angst: 4
Steam: 4
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 4.5

Favorite Quotes:

Harper’s animals were like a bunch of moody teenagers, hating when their sleep was interrupted even though they got about eighteen hours per day. Harper counted herself lucky if she scored five.

He smiled. Surprise flickered over her face, and then she smiled back. “If this is the way you say you’re sorry, we’re gonna be doing a lot of fighting,” he drawled. She laughed. “Don’t get used to it. I truly doubt I’ll be wrong again.”

My Review:

I’ve frequently noticed Ms. Probst’s name yet All Roads Lead To You was my first time to personally experience her work. I found it to be a pleasantly engaging and easy to follow story that was cast with likable characters, a strong and sassy heroine, and a farm filled with precious and precocious rescue animals including a potential racehorse with a history of abuse and lingering trust issues. The entertaining storylines featured relatable issues for all animal lovers, licks of humor, and a slow build-up to a deliciously steamy romance. Being an animal lover I perked up at each mention of the antics of the comical baby goat Captain Hoof, as well as the phenomenon of Hei Hei, the Polish chicken. I became so curious I felt compelled to Google Polish chickens to get the full effect and found them quite fetching.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is the final installment to the Stay series and they saved the best for last.

Harper was an interesting character in the first two books and it was clear that she wanted to surround herself with her animals. They loved her, she loved them back and she was especially passionate with her rescue horses. Harper endured her own heartbreak as a young girl and her wounded heart never really healed, until Aiden showed up.

Aiden is on a break from his business in Ireland and shows up at the Inn to relax, but the horses are calling him like a siren especially a rescue horse named Phoenix, who has a lot of potential to be a winner of the Kentucky Derby. Aiden is a trainer and has trained winners and appeals to Harper and her family to allow him to train Phoenix as he believes he has a strong chance to win the big races.

Harper and Aiden have chemistry but they want to keep their distance and focus on Phoenix's training. They're both afraid to take a leap and even after admitting their attraction, they decide it is best not to act on it. Their work spans over a year and as time passes, the walls that they have built up towards one another begin to crumble and they give in to their feelings. This is a sweet love story as Harper is so strong and stubborn, but you know she deserves love and so does Aiden. Their love of animals, especially with a rescue goat, makes you feel joy and you can't help a little laughter, too.

I loved this book and wished for more. Never a dull moment, an enjoyable read.

Oh this one got a few tears out of me! ❤️❤️
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was eagerly waiting for the next installment to the Stay series. I really enjoy the blend of humor and zaniness that comes out with this family. I especially love the way she finds the perfect connection in a world where you are convinced love is not in the cards for you.
Written with class and style, this story is a beautiful love story between a gal who is hiding her fears and burying herself in work and a guy who finds himself at the right place in the right time.
Finding peace in her horses, she has no time for men. Aidan knows a kindred spirit when he sees one and together a connection is built slowly, one bit of trust at a time.
Probst writes with deep descriptions that toss you right into the Hudson Valley, right into a family that you want to be yours. Supportive, hardworking, and plenty of love is to be found, including all of the crazy animals that roam throughout the story. Hei Hei is also there in all his glory!
Funny, sexy, emotional, and full of scenes that make your heart swell and the tears drop, All Roads Lead To You is a beautiful story set in hometown America and one you will want to read again and again.
Harper Bishop lives in the small town of Gardiner located in New York’s Hudson Valley. She owns a family business with her two siblings with a B&B and a farm. She runs their rescue farm where she finds solace in the quiet of the barn. She preferred the company of animals to people, and the horse rescues were her heart and soul. She was happily single, independent, and had never needed a man to complete her. Then they get a new guest at the B&B that pushes all her buttons, and sets her blood on fire. Not only is he a pleasure to look at, but he also seems to share her passion for healing, saving, and connecting with animals.
Aidan O’Connor is a horse trainer from Ireland who has arrived in the quaint town of Gardiner for some rest and relaxation. He’s burned out, and needs a vacation, and somewhere to lay low. He hopes this two week break and change of scenery will be a nice fresh start. Then he lays eyes on a horse that calls to him on every level. Phoenix is a beautiful thoroughbred with a fighting spirit. He’s inspired by this horse, and feels like he’s meant to train him. He also feels an intense bond with the horse’s owner. Harper quickly becomes his summer crush, even though he knows she’s off limits. He couldn’t deny how much she affected him, but if he wanted them to work together, he couldn’t cross that invisible line.
Harper and Aidan work together as an amazing team, but it’s getting harder and harder to keep things professional. Neither want their attraction to complicate their business relationship, but the temptation becomes unbearable on a daily basis. Every time they get too close the electric energy between them threatens to ignite. He was everything she could want in a man, and pulled unexpected feelings from her, but she knew soon they’d have to part ways. Could she let him go and say goodbye when the time came, or would she take a chance on love?
-The connection between them simmered like a low flame ready to rise.
-She fascinated him- from her quiet, strong manner to her generous heart.
-He imagined being the man she trusted with her heart.
-Time stretched and pulsed with unspoken questions and a sizzling attraction she'd never experienced before. It had taken one solitary ride to figure out this man called to her.
-Aidan O'Connor got her. His ruthless honesty challenged her in a way no man had ever done before.
Another adorable romance in this sweet series!
I was waiting for Harper's story. And I loved it.
There were so many adorable moments! And funny ones - especially with the animals - Hei Hei and Captain Hoof! I adored them!!!
description
But I was a bit disappointed too. I almost stopped reading a few times.
Both Aidan and Harper felt this 'voice in their heads' telling them that 'something is coming'. And there's this religious feeling through the whole book. I hated that! I wanted to throw my kindle out the next window a few times. I can't stand those kinds of spiritual or whatever things. But I kept on reading because I love that family and that farm and B&B and Aidan was great too - sexy horse-whispering guy with an Irish accent!
It was a sweet and funny and heartbreaking and very horsey & animaly love story!
Great cast of humans and animals!
Also ... Hei Hei and Captain Hoof are the best book pets ever!!!!! ☺ LOL!
ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU was an adorable and moving romance! Full of horses and family.
Run to your nearest amazon for your own Aidan - this one is mine! And I want my own baby goat now too please!
4 Understanding Who You Are Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
There was a time in my life when my family was involved with horses. We were friends with a thoroughbred owner and then we also became addicted to owning and showing quarter horses for a time. There is a special type of feeling which comes over you when you personally connect with them. I was fortunate to have had that experience in my life.
Jennifer Probst has created an amazing story which touches on all of those feelings and more. Her research is on par with the realities of the sport. She has taken all of the undercurrents of horse racing and paired it with characters who are true believers as well as veterans savvy in how things should be done. She also added the bonus of rescue animals as the hub of all this animal love. This is definitely a book for those who do appreciate being immersed in farms, horses and even a wacky chicken and goat.
Harper Bishop knows who she is...She learned that lesson a very long time ago during her school years.
The pain and scars she had to handle and overcome have molded her ideas about almost everything. She learned from her mother's love of animals and her own experiences to be more comfortable with them than people. Animals loved you completely with no agenda...People not so much. Now as an adult she ran the rescue portion of the family's farm. Her older sister ran the B&B and her brother, back from Afganistan, handle the horse business with some training and sales.
Harper loved her siblings but never really felt as if she belonged...she knew they loved her and because she was more comfortable in the barn, they gave her the space she needed. Harper had acquired a strong reputation in the animal rescue community and when she stepped up and took on an impossible thoroughbred she knew she would have her hands full. No one else was willing to put in the time or have the ability to break through and get the horse to trust. He had been whipped, pushed too hard and with cruelty. Harper worked long and hard and eventually, Phoenix named after the legendary bird, started to allow her to ride and see the speed she had.
Harper knew there was a champion inside Phoenix and needed to figure out how to find a trainer who would groom him for the Triple Crown...Harper had a feeling something was coming...
Aidan O’Connor was at the end of his rope. He had hoped by coming to the States he would have a positive fresh start. He left Ireland with a heavy heart knowing he was in the right but being right didn't change the pain, hurt and feelings of betrayal. Being an award-winning Irish Derby trainer, he should have had more success in finding a horse to train. But Aidan also only wanted to train a horse he felt a bond with. Every time he had a special gut feeling about a horse, he knew amazing things would happen.
Now he is in upstate New York at a little B&B trying to regroup and figure out his life. As he wakes around the grounds of the farm the B&B is on, Aidan investigates all of the barns and checks out the horses. He finds another small barn and sees a beauty all alone in a stall. He walks up to the thoroughbred and a stare down begins. As Aidan takes in this horse and looks into his eyes, he sees the fire, the will, and the strength.
Aidan feels this moment and as he wants to investigate more, he is interrupted by Harper by her telling him to step away from Phoenix. Harper is pissed as no one should be around this horse. He is too volatile. Aidan listens to Harper but still stays by the horse. These two held their ground bantering back and forth about what intentions are and how Harper finally dismisses him.
Aidan is smitten with the horse and intrigued with Harper. He figures out a way to get Harper to take him for his scheduled ride. There is a spark there but both are not willing to acknowledge anything. Neither are looking for any complications. As they ride, Harper learns more about Aidan, his horse training and his ideas about Phoenix. Once he sees Phoenix go full out, it is confirmed...Harper definitely has a champion on her hands. Now a plan needs to be put together.
Part of the plan, though, cannot include these two enjoying the chemistry they both have. They acknowledge this is an issue but they will not let it get out of hand.
Right...
This is a stunning story about two people who have deep scars and pain. They have learned who they are and have learned to handle the loneliness. By being around Harper's family, Aidan experiences for the first time what a close loving family is. He also respects Harper so much as she is direct, clear in her visions and has no pretense. She is also sexy as hell and doesn't even know it. Harper had decided what her life was to be. She never thought she would have a man who would support her and accept her life consumed with animals.
The growth between them is serious and it takes each a while to see the writing on the wall...They are meant for each other.
As I said, this is a story of details: Details of what life is like on a rescue farm, what it like to train and go the distance in horse racings hardest journey, the Triple Crown, and how through it all two people can learn to open their hearts to the one who understands them the best.
This is part of the Stay series and it works extremely well.
All Roads Lead to You is super sweet. I am not a fan of animal lover or pet. Miss Probst certainly knows how to change my mind.
Throw in some wonderful characters, easy breey plot and some romantic gesture, I am sold.
Aidan O’Connor has arrived in New York from Ireland, to seek refuge from a career that has gone so horribly wrong. He was making a name for himself as a horse trainer in Ireland when he was betrayed in the worst way by people that he loved and trusted. A couple of weeks staying in a quaint little inn on a farm is just what he needs to reset and decide his next move. Maybe he can begin again in the USA.
Harper Bishop’s family farm is her solace. In particular she loves taking in rescue animals and rehabilitating them - giving them the love and attention they had been missing. She also likes to name them after Disney characters like her dogs, Bagheera and Baloo, her cat Figaro and her chicken Hei hei. One of her rescue passions is horses and she recently acquired one at an auction that she feels has real potential to be a racehorse - Phoenix.
Phoenix was not in a good way when he arrived in her stables but will lots of love and time his conditioning has improved and she feels like he was born to run. There is just something about this shy, skittish horse that has her dreaming of big things in his future. When Aidan meets Harper she is very stand offish with him, as she is with most men. When he also sees the potential in Phoenix, Harper begins to believe that her dream for him might come true.
Aidan wasn’t looking for work when he arrived on this farm but something about Phoenix has him very excited and his gut tells him not to ignore his intuition about this magnificent creature. In the back of his mind he also sees this as an opportunity to redeem himself and show the people who lost faith in him that he is a talented trainer. One day he will return home a champion with his pick of the jobs he chooses - okay he is getting a bit ahead of himself now…
As Aidan and Harper begin to work together on getting Phoenix prepared to race a bond forms between them. Harper’s passion for rescuing animals is rubbing off on him, that’s how a goat dressed in a chicken suit called Captain Hoof joins the farm as the latest addition :-) Things between Aidan and Harper have shifted into something more than either of them expected and they not only spend their days shovelling hay but their nights rolling in the hay - I mean tangled sheets.
Phoenix begins to prove himself to have all the potential they knew he had and more but alongside this is a lot of publicity and offers that Aidan was not expecting. His time in the US is coming to an end anyway, he only planned on it being a short term thing. Harper knew that and is prepared to let him go - even if she doesn’t want him to leave. However, she would never want to hold him back from his dreams of success in his homeland. What about what she wants though? Is the grass really greener in Ireland?
I learnt so much about horses reading this story. I enjoyed the way the relationship between Harper and Aidan evolved slowly. I adored all the lovely animals in this book too :)
I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Harper manages the farm and animal rescue in her family’s bed and breakfast establishment.  Her latest rescue is a Thoroughbred Racehorse, who was abused by her owner after losing a race.  Phoenix is temperamental and not easy to trust but she has made progress. Her goal is to possibly get him on the track again.  Coincidentally, Aidan O’Connor, a guest, at the Inn happens to train horses professionally and looking for his new project.  Harper and Aiden will agree to work together but to be successful, they have a few things to overcome, such as trust, learning to love and learning to let go of the past.
All Roads Lead to you is my favorite of the three books of the series.  I enjoyed Harper and Aidan’s story. Their past, feelings, and situations are familiar and at times too close to home.   I get them. Harper’s passion for rescuing animals is uplifting and Aidan, well, he’s just adorably hot. Together, they were sweet and they made me laugh.
I can’t get enough of the adorable rescue animals in the farm who all have specific personalities.  Most especially Phoenix, the rescue horse of the story, a goat named Captain Hoof, and Hei Hei, the chicken.  These three took a good portion of the stage and stole my heart. They were hilarious, quirky, and very sweet.  I still laugh at their antics and interactions with each other.
I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but this book cannot be the end of the series.  Yes, we got all the stories of the three Bishop siblings, but there are secondary characters’ stories that need to be told.  Chloe and Owen, the teens who were sentenced to volunteer at the farm desperately need a book of their own. Throughout the stories, you see them grow from being a**hole kids to a much more mature human beings.  You can’t help but fall in love with them and feel invested in their lives. I’m hoping Probst will not leave her readers hanging and give Chloe and Owen an HEA.
I had read and enjoyed the previous books in this series, but I especially loved this synopsis.
I love love loved Harper and Aidan. They’re both a little guarded and maybe too prickly, but they have reasons and it absolutely works for their relationship. The animals were a fantastic set of characters and I enjoyed having them as a constant in the scenes.
Plot wise, it was the slowest of slow burns I’ve ever read and it was glorious. I was drowning in UST and chemistry and didn’t want it to stop. Harper and Aidan are open with each other and have conversations and it was refreshing to see how that played out. The conflict is nearly non-existent and the time passed quickly when I wanted it to.
Overall, it was the best of the three and a story I know I’ll be reading again.
This is not a typical love story. Don’t get me wrong there is romance but it is a very slow burn and it takes a backseat to the REAL love that is center stage. That love is between Harper and her animals. We get cats, dogs, horses, chickens and a special goat. Harper runs the rescue farm ( mainly horses ) aspect of her family’s business. Her main focus here is a rescue we met in Ethan’s book, Phoenix the thoroughbred. She knows Phoenix is special and her goal is to enter him in stakes races and hopefully the triple crown. Enter Aidan a guest at the family’s B&B who happens to be a horse trainer from Ireland. He also believes Phoenix has the “it factor” to succeed and begs for the job of training him. This is my favorite part of the story. The training and the races were fascinating to me. As much as I wanted Aiden and Harper to give in to their attraction I wanted the horse to win more. Animal stories always get to me and I was choked up on many occasions. I loved this one. 5 stars.
Harper Bishop is happy surrounded by animals and rescuing them at the horse-rescue farm and the inn she own with her siblings. She's not waiting for love and doesn't dream of the white picket fence and kids. But she's not happy by the new guess' arrival, a horse trainer who volunteer to help her with the farm's chores and play on her nerves without meaning to. And she's honest enough to recognize he makes her feel like no other man before.
Aidan O'Connor left Ireland for a fresh start, after being betrayed by a friend. Coming to New York is an opportunity to reinvent himself and was supposed to be a vacation. The problem is that he's bored out of his mind doing nothing and he miss working with animals. Once he met the horse Harper is currently trying to rehabilitate, the feeling that he's meant to stay and help her train the horse won't quit him and Aidan is a guy who follows his instinct. Probably why, even if he's attracted to Harper, he's waiting for her to make the first move and set the pace.
The beginning was a bit slow for me but at the same time, it fit with what we know of the heroine's who's prickly and doesn't trust easily. I saw a lot of myself in some parts of her personality and way of thinking. Being a loner and not opening easily to people and being okay with not wanting the same things that everyone does. Aidan was surprisingly charmed by Harper's ornery attitude and I couldn't have seen her fall in love with a man who's not an animals lover like her. In fact, Aidan and Harper had lots in common. They're both passionate and stubborn people who rely on their guts.
Fate, listening to your inside voice, rescue animals and horse racing are the principal elements to this touching love story between a wanderer and a woman who was ready to live alone with her animals for the rest of her life.
Author Jennifer Probst Fan Page adds another touching and sexy romance to her Stay series. With a small town backdrop, All Roads Lead To You is tale about rescue farm owner Harper Bishop and sexy horse trainer Aidan O’Conner.
Harper Bishop’s passion is her rescue farm, but her dream is to help her rescued thoroughbred win the Triple Crown although she has no idea how to go about it. But the new guest at her sister’s B&B has more than a panty melting brogue and smile, he’s got the knowhow.
Aidan O’Connor left Ireland to start fresh after his best friend’s duplicity. He can’t help but hope when he sees the horse’s fiery spirit. Offering his expertise comes with a complications though. He’s not only attracted to the sexy and alluring Harper but has unexpected feelings for her. Can he stick to the professional boundaries Harper established or will they risk their hearts knowing their time together has an expiration date?
Having two goofy and loveable rescue dogs myself, I first fell in love with this book’s starting quote that bears repeating.
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
Then I fell in love with animal lovers Aidan and Harper whose romance was deliciously sexy (Aidan’s brogue might have contributed greatly to that). The horse training aspect gave the story an interesting and original layer, and getting to see what the characters from past books in the series was an added bonus.
Jennifer Probst expertly blends humor, sexiness and emotion keeping the reader delightfully addicted. She entwines these elements evoking a hope that fate will align and bring love and happiness between two characters that seem to be at once perfect yet ill fitted for one another. I enjoyed this story, its plot, backdrop, characters and romance giving me the warm fuzzies.
All Roads Lead To You is book #3 of the Stay series by Jennifer Probst. It is a standalone contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.
Mission accomplished!! Probst made me lose my mind For. Good!!! AGAIN! This series is unreally good!! Every story, every love, every character is more perfect, more beautiful, more addicting and more heart-stealing than its previous.
Three siblings. Three tortured souls. Three magical love stories. What more could a reader ask for?
And I think Probst saved the best for last. Harper Bishop’s love journey is definitely the best one – no offense to Ethan & Ophelia. The intensity, rawness, and strength Aidan & Harp had were unreal. Jennifer Prost delivered a story that, no matter what, it’s impossible to put into words and you can never separate from the deepest part of your soul.
They say that if a story takes your breath away and make your heart stop beating, then that’s a book that you will treasure it forever. And if that doesn’t apply 200% on All Roads Lead To You then I don’t know what does. Scene after scene, I fell harder and harder for just about everything that Aidan & Harper were creating in those pages. Countless times I felt my heart squeeze, my eyes tear up and my skin break down in shivers.
Ugghhhh, I feel like I have forgotten all the English vocabulary, grammar and general the whole damn language. I can’t seem to be able to compose a full sentence without using the same words over and over again.
From their charged first meetings to their super super I-am-melting steamy moments to their real, raw, painful, tough moments where the soul of their true love was existing and breathing, Harper & her Irish enslaved me for life! I will never be the same after that love! I want to read it again and again and again!! The recommendation of course goes without saying…… YOU NEED THIS COUPLE IN YOUR LIFE!!!! NOW!
I enjoyed this title, but I didn't love it.
And, I am not entirely sure why. I usually love titles by this author, and I did like this, but I wasn't as engaged with the characters as I usually am with titles by this author. I liked them as people, and I liked their stories, but I didn't really feel invested.
Harper and Aidan had an attraction that built, but it was never the full passion that made me believe that they would change their lives to pick one another, if that makes any sense. I could see them as a happily for now, but he is from Ireland and she runs a rescue horse farm in the US. Their lives are different, they have different goals and different things they want. In order for them to be willing, and want, to merge their lives, they needed the passion and romance that I just didn't feel that they had.
In fact, there was a part of me that actually didn't expect them to end up together at the end of the story...which would have been a hard sell for a romance, but I would not have been surprised if it had ended this way.
It's probably just me, and for someone else this will have been the perfect romance. It was an enjoyable read...it just felt a little flat to me.
This book was a true pleasure to read. I wasn’t through the first chapter and I already knew I was gonna love it. It actually had me tingling all over. Some books do have that effect. That buzz is no less than being halfway drunk.
“You’re my heart. And every damn road I ever took had one purpose. It led me to you.”
Harper Bishop was a ball buster, plain and simple. She was fierce, passionate, prideful and strong headed. She ran an old animal-rescue farm and was very passionate towards her work. She had everything she ever dreamed of and didn’t want for anything else. She was complete all by herself. Her bluntness and simplicity made her all the more attractive.
Aidan O’Connor was a horse breeder with a ruined reputation after being betrayed by his friend and colleague. Now at crossroads in his career, Aidan was in search of a fresh start. Aidan was intriguing, pushy, full of himself and absolutely charming. He was a mix of danger and temptation. He unsettled Harper who never needed or wanted a man by her side and was content with her life till then.
“A woman can get lost in a gaze that deep. A woman could get found.”
Harper and Aidan were brought together by Phoenix, a horse with too many quirks and a completely delightful mix of animals on the farm. Determined on making Phoenix a winning race horse, they both worked tooth and nail till the very end. Harper and Aidan had different tactics but were great together as a team. Their learning curve was an amazing journey where they learnt their lessons together, pushed each other’s boundaries, struggled through mini battles and worked around a delicate balance of respecting each other.
Keen on maintaining a professional relationship, they were off limits to each other. However, that buzzing attraction wasn’t letting it stay strictly business. Harper’s sharp tongue, compassionate heart and stubborn will fascinated him. Aidan’s magnetic personality and distinctive qualities overwhelmed her. Harper’s painful tortured teen years haunted her and Aidan’s yearning to restore his reputation plagued him. Harper conquered her fears alone and raised an indestructible wall around her heart. Aidan’s unwavering support, fighting spirit and relentless attitude shattered every last piece of her defense. The resultant blistering heat, wicked desire and overwhelming sexual tension engulfed any form of resilience.
“You told me to follow my heart. Every road I’ve ever walked has led me to the next town, the next horse, and the next piece of my soul. But then I met you, Harper Bishop, and I was ruined.”
Probst honed the fine art of bantering and I thoroughly enjoyed the verbal sparring between the lead characters throughout the book. I cannot stress enough how much I loved Harper and Aidan. They had captivating personalities that shaped the story rather nicely. Side characters were adorable here and added to the richness of the story. It was like a castle of cards, where all the cards held the story together. Animals were a deeply ingrained part of the story. There were endless moments of joy molded by the bizzare acts of these peculiar animals.
Aidan's secretive background troubled Harper from the very start that led to some differences later in the story. I am glad the author did not drag that part too much and the differences that could be quickly reconciled were done so in that manner.
Writing was simply exquisite. Oh yes! I was smiling all the way through.
“I had to leave in order to come back. I had to realize you changed me. You’re my dream, mo grá. I want it all, and I want it with you, right here.”
After my last read, it was such a pleasure to finally read something worth reading. I am glad I could be part of Harper’s, Aidan’s and Phoenix’s quest for victory. Probst can raise me in her fan list a little closer to the top.
I absolutely adored every single being in All Roads Lead to You whether it was a human or a quirky animal.
Harper and Aidan’s story was a great one, but as a person who does not enjoy horse-racing, I found it too boring when some parts were only about the excitement involving the racing.
OHHHH MYYYYY!!! Harper's story was everything I wanted it to be and so much more.
This story had everything. From the broken, yet strong heroine, to the sexy Irish hero. Throw in some animals that will steal your heart and the dynamic of the Bishop Family ... like I said EVERYTHING!!
For the first two books in the series, we knew that Harper was going to be tough as nails. It was going to take someone extra special to break through her stronghold. Aiden came waltzing in and went head to head with her from the start and I loved every single minute of it.
I melted every time they had interactions with the animals. I need a Captain Hoof!!! This can't be the end. Jennifer, you need to do a 4.0 for Chloe!! (I see another 1001 Dark Nights Story there! - hint hint)
This book was such a departure from the usual storylines. I loved all the racing bits and the behind-the-scenes with the animals. SO SO SO GOOD!!
Another fantastic book and series from Jennifer! I can't wait for more.
Aidan O’Conner leaves Ireland for a change he needs desperately and finds himself on the ranch of Harper Bishop. Harper is an animal lover of all kinds and has a ranch to save animals who have been abused or neglected. When Aidan and Harper begin working together on a race horse named Phoenix that is when their lives change. If your a big animal lover and love to hear about horse racing 🏇 this book is for you. I found the book a little slow and the chemistry didn’t come to play until we got further towards the end of the book. Thank you Netgalley for providing this arc for an honest review.
Jennifer Probst adds another touching and sexy romance to her Stay series. With a small town backdrop, All Roads Lead To You is tale about rescue farm owner Harper Bishop and sexy horse trainer Aidan O’Conner.
Harper Bishop’s passion is her rescue farm, but her dream is to help her rescued thoroughbred win the Triple Crown although she has no idea how to go about it. But the new guest at her sister’s B&B has more than a panty melting brogue and smile, he’s got the knowhow.
Aidan O’Connor left Ireland to start fresh after his best friend’s duplicity. He can’t help but hope when he sees the horse’s fiery spirit. Offering his expertise comes with a complications though. He’s not only attracted to the sexy and alluring Harper but has unexpected feelings for her. Can he stick to the professional boundaries Harper established or will they risk their hearts knowing their time together has an expiration date?
Having two goofy and loveable rescue dogs myself, I first fell in love with this book’s starting quote that bears repeating.
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
Then I fell in love with animal lovers Aidan and Harper whose romance was deliciously sexy (Aidan’s brogue might have contributed greatly to that). The horse training aspect gave the story an interesting and original layer, and getting to see what the characters from past books in the series was an added bonus.
Jennifer Probst expertly blends humor, sexiness and emotion keeping the reader delightfully addicted. She entwines these elements evoking a hope that fate will align and bring love and happiness between two characters that seem to be at once perfect yet ill fitted for one another. I enjoyed this story, its plot, backdrop, characters and romance giving me the warm fuzzies.
All Roads Lead To You is book #3 of the Stay series by Jennifer Probst. It is a standalone contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.
5 Star Review All Roads Lead to You (Stay #3) By Jennifer Probst
The characters were strong and well developed, not only the main characters, but also the secondary characters who I hope get their own stories soon.
All Roads Lead To You is a well written, emotional story with  hot and sizzling scenes, as well as a great deal of humour and wonderful characters. I really liked Harper and Aidan from the start.
Harper Bishop runs a rescue farm for neglected and abused animals and is focused on returning her thoroughbred Phoenix back to health and perhaps to race. The only problem is she lacks the experience and skills needed to achieve this.
Aidan O’Connor is on vacation from Ireland staying at the Bishop family B & B and farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. He is trying to decide what is next in his future after parting walls with his ex partner. A horse trainer, he has the skills needed to help Harper train Phoenix to reach his potential.
Aidan and Harper connect from the first, but neither are prepared to open themselves up to the possibility of a relationship so they agree to focus on Phoenix. However as they get to know each other, they realise how much they have in common; with attraction and passion soon igniting.
Harper knows it is dangerous to develop feelings for Aidan, after all he will be going back to Ireland so any relationship can only be temporary. Will she take a chance and risk her heart?
Will Aidan’s lack of trust mean that he throws away the chance of love and happiness? Or will Phoenix and the other rescued animals help both Harper and Aidan to learn trust and find love?
I was captivated with this story from the first to the last chapter.
I received an ARC of this book through the publisher via Netgalley
FMC is prickly, stubborn, passionate, independent, sarcastic, guarded, and all-around disagreeable.
I’m sure the author will help her personality soften, but it’s a painful starting point, notwithstanding her positive traits.
The romance is steamier than I prefer, from both the FMC and the MMC dual POV. Lots of aroused body parts, even though the inevitable sex scenes are still far away.
DNF at almost 30% and moving on. Just not for me.
Content-
Language- some f-words and other swears.
Steam- see above. High.
Substance abuse- none
Cover- it’s good but has NOTHING to do with the setting or plot or character descriptions.
Format- audio via Everand.
Narrators- good.
All Roads Lead to You is the third book in the Stay series by the talented Jennifer Probst. This series is really so fantastic! The Bishop siblings quickly stole my heart. I've been waiting for Harper's story since the beginning. Harper is busy running her family's rescue farm. She's more at ease with animals than people and although she shares her Irish DNA with her siblings, she didn't get the red hair or short stature. She's tall with dark hair. She never really fit in with the kids at school and she loves her family, but always kept herself a little distant. Now that they have all been working together, she's opening up more. Especially with her desire to make her beloved horse, Phoenix, a Triple Crown winner. Harper always believed in Fate and when an Irish horse trainer just happens to be a guest at the inn, she can't deny she needs help. Aidan left Ireland looking for redemption. He left his home and his life to look for another horse to train. Also a believer in Fate, as soon as he sees Phoenix, he knows he's the one to help him be a winner again. He's also struck by Phoenix's owner, Harper. Wow. She's gorgeous, stubborn and mouthy. Perfect. But after he convinces her and her family to hire him to train the horse, she's also off limits, at her request. After working all day and living in the same place, their friendship and love for the animals turns into something more. But he's going back to Ireland. Will Harper survive after he's gone? Is there anything on the farm that could keep him there? I loved this story! Harper is so tough, but so loving. She's been through a lot, but she's stronger because of it. She has good gut instincts and listens to her inner voice. Aidan is sexy as sin, but so good with the animals. He gets Harper and knew she would be worth the wait. I loved that we get to see Ophelia, Kyle, Ethan and Mia quite a bit, and loved all the animals, new and old! Phoenix and Captain Hoof were awesome!! This entire story just warmed my heart and made me hopeful!
A woman could get lost in a gaze that deep. A woman could get found.
A woman could get into trouble.
"This would be easier on my ego if you'd admit you're having the same problem."
"You sure don't know the art of subtlety, do you?"
"No time for that shit. Well?"
"I think this is the strangest conversation I've ever had with a man."
"Are you hot for me, Harper?"
"Yeah."
"And you're beautiful. When I caught sight of this beaded top, I almost cried. In a manly way, of course. But real tears."
All Roads Lead to You was such a beautiful story. I was immediately drawn in by Harper and Aidan's chemistry and I buckled up and rode out the storm because it was definitely a slow burn romance. They were both determined to not let their attraction interfere with their goal to train Phoenix, one of Harper's rescues, and give him the chance to race. Also, Harper and Aidan both have secrets that they need to share with one another before they can fully commit to a relationship. I was glad that when Aidan's history was revealed, it wasn't blown into some overly dramatic situation. Harper was mature and listened to his side of the story and they addressed it like adults.
As an animal lover myself, I was drawn to the supporting characters that had four legs. When Captain Hoof was introduced to the story, my heart literally melted. Who doesn't love a baby goat with a disability? I also loved the horses. Seeing Phoenix running and even winning in the races was amazing. The interactions with the supporting characters that weren't of the animal variety were pretty fun as well. Since this is the third book in the series, the reader has had the chance to get to know two of the other couples already in the previous books. I haven't actually read those yet myself, but I don't feel like I missed anything when I read this one. I think you can easily read it as a standalone like I did. I imagine the experience is probably just a little richer when you have read the previous stories.
I know I mentioned the chemistry between Harper and Aidan earlier in my review. Not only was it present with our main couple. Chemistry made the "rescue" itself work. When everyone got along and they were operating on all cylinders, the farm ran smoothly and they could meet more needs. Aidan and Phoenix had chemistry. Phoenix and Elmo, the jockey, had chemistry. The animals had chemistry among themselves, particularly Phoenix and Captain Hoof. At the crux of everything in. this book was great "chemistry."
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Over the years I have come to love Jennifer Probst books.  From her marriage bargain series and her searching series which are some of my absolute favorite reads, through the current I have always had a love for her characters and her words.  However I must say, sadly, this book wasn't one of my favorites.
If you read the two previous books in this series you know that our heroine Harper is a bit of a lost soul.  She's followed in the footsteps of her late mother and kept the animal rescue part of the farm where the family bed and breakfast sits, running over the years.  She feels a strong kinship with the animals, she can relate to their broken parts, as she herself once felt lost and broken too.  But the animals have always been her savior.  They were there for her when she felt nobody else was.  Along with her brother Ethan they have been training Phoenix, a broken thoroughbred, that Harper rescued.  She knows Phoenix is special, but doesn't know if his temperament will allow him to take his natural place, on a race track. Her dream is to get him to run and win a triple crown, showing the world that things left in broke parts can rise from the ashes.
Aidan, comes to visit Harper's family, broken himself and distraught over the turn his life has taken, he's giving up on his dreams.  He only wants to be the best horse trainer around, make a name for himself despite his previous experiences and show everyone back home that he's made something of himself.  Once Phoenix catches his eye, he knows that his is a chance of a lifetime for him, and for the woman that owns him.  Aidan is super sweet and sexy in his own right, he's rugged and all male, and just what Harper needs in a strong companion.
My issues with the story were mostly the fact that sometimes the antics of the animals really distracted from the story.  There was in particular, without giving things away, one animal that they rescue and it became such a focus that I felt it took away from the heart of the story a bit. I loved watching Harper come into her own, and I enjoyed she and Aidan.  But at times things felt forced together for me and not flowing naturally.  I also felt that at times there was a bit too much repetition in the words and rehashing the same lines and excuses, which frustrated me slightly.
Overall it's still a solid read from Ms. Probst I just found myself skimming a bit at times over things to get to the heart of the story.  In the end I was satisfied with the outcome and was left with a happy heart.  I loved this series as a whole, this book just isn't my favorite of the three.  I actually would love to see some of the other characters get books to be honest.  There were a few side characters that I would love to see where their roads lead them.  Specifically Chloe who appears in the first of the books right on through book three.  I love her and would love to see a book from her in the future.
Aidan and Harper are one of the most adorable and endearing couples that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. All Roads Lead To You is a heart fulfilling, emotional and slow burn romance that I just couldn’t get enough of. It has the perfect blend of comic relief, witty banter and romance. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone and while I loved The Start Of Something Good and A Brand New Ending (Book One and Two in this series), All Roads Lead To You is definitely my favorite.
Everything about Aidan and Harper was absolutely wonderful. I found it to be very sweet that both were huge animal lovers and cared for them deeply (Harper rescues abused animals and Aidan is a horse trainer) which was a great addition to the storyline. Both of them struggled due to past events in their lives and they needed each other more than they knew in order to move forward. They tried so hard to fight their feelings for each other but it was undeniable that they should be together. All Roads Lead To You is an enjoyable read that I highly recommend reading along with the other two books in the series.
What a beautiful love story! I love Jennifer Probst's writing. She pulls you in and doesn't let go until the last page. I have not read the previous two books in this series ( although now I really want to) but such is the beauty of the interconnected standalone....you can pick one up at any point in the series and it will go just fine. Harper and Aidan were characters I got to know so well and each had their own private demons that needed to be dealt with before they could find their HEA together. I am a sucker for any book with a farm setting. The animals on this farm had so much personality I would call them secondary characters. From Phoenix to Captain Hoof to Hei Hei they seemed to jump off the pages. I learned a lot about horses and horse racing which was cool and Aidan is now my favorite swoony, sexy, Irish horse whisperer. As a heroine, Harper is a strong woman and comfortable in her own skin. Her heart is in her rescue animals and her prickly exterior only makes her more endearing. Harper and Aidan are the perfect fit in all ways but its a bit of a bumpy road toward their own realization of this fact. Great read!
