This never got any better. It doesn't feel like a celebration of women in sports but rather a poorly put together essay on why women should play sports. Instead of a collection of inspiring and celebratory stories about the women persevering in sports, even when the odds are against them, examples are listed off but not gone into any depth - much like one would cite in an essay. I think the authors mean well but the poor structure and misleading title subtract from whatever might be left of value. The book didn't even have me wanting to investigate further on my own. A definite do not read.
