The author has overall done a good job of dumbing down what would normally be academic gobbledygook. But oversimplifying is bad too, and that is a problem here. For example, when it's stated that one needs experimental evidence to demonstrate causation. That is a dangerously wrong notion for public health. Think about cigarettes and lung cancer, etc., etc. , etc.
