A wonderful piece of storytelling that comes out of a sincere love for the church. Somewhat bound by its time (written shortly after the URC split, something which is clearly on the author's—and church's—mind), and glosses over some of the darker points of the CRC's history. Overall, a wonderful historical retelling of the story that doesn't take itself too seriously and sheds considerable light on a complex history.
