loved it

It was fantastic to be back in the Dirty Texas family.
Everly is such a fascinating FMC, her backstory is so touching.
Then there’s The Lost Boys, who are definitely lost and under the influence of everything.
I was completely mesmerised by the storyline, the tragedy and seeing the journey they all take.
Those steamy scenes were hot AF and that piercing- wow!
Would love to see more books with the Dirty Texas family.

How to fix a damaged Rock Star

As with most of JA Low’s books, this story is interlinked with previous book series and whilst you could read this a standalone book you would possibly benefit from reading the Dirty Texas Series before delving into this one. It’s not imperative but it would give you an idea of who some of the subsidiary characters are.

This latest series focuses on broken rock stars The Lost Boys. After losing one of their band members tragically they’ve fallen apart. Sex, drugs and rock’n’roll is all these guys want but it’s killing them. When their record label owned by Dirty Texas crew steps in, it requires drastic measures. This comes in the shape of Everly, their new accountability coach.

Of course, adding a beautiful blonde woman into the lives of a bunch of troubled rock stars is a disaster waiting to happen, right?

It certainly doesn’t start well between the dark, broody and damaged band leader Hendrix Meyer. He’s so lost in his past and the death of his band brother, Brodie that Everly isn’t sure any of her tactics are going to work when they arrive at her families secluded ranch.

Will she manage to get Hendrix and his band mates Zeke and Eli on board? Will she be able to save them?

You’ll have to read to find out if she makes it through Hendrix’s armour of painful memories.

It’s a great read and I loved it as much as all the other books by this author. If I had one critique, it’s too short and ends very abruptly. I’m hoping we get to find out more as the series develops. But I love Hen and Everly and I hope they get their happily ever after.

perfection 💋💋💋💋

This story had everything and more... think bad behaved rockstars, their record label, a horrendous past, zero writing and the one woman who changes are remolds them....

Everly Nash has been Brought in to whip The Lost Boys back into shape, the rock group lost their best mate and brother in a terrible accident, and haven’t been able to produce music since, now bound for Montana, Hendrix, Eli and Zeke are being thrown head first into life away from alcohol, women, and the memories.... A month of solitude with a accountability coach is what’s been ordered.... and whether they like it or not, it’s going to happen. While Zeke and Eli open up to healing crystals, healthy food and yoga, the feeling is not mutual to Hendrix, the man is pure sex, he gets what he wants, but Montana was not is his plans, neither was Everly, especially after their first meeting.

But while Everly and Hendrix fight constantly, it opens up older wounds and Everly finds herself in Hendrix’s world, the pair blur lines and he starts to create music again... it’s a win win, hot as hell loving, and a new album in the making, but the contract Everly signed always sits at the back of her mind, is setting her body in fire worth the loss of everything she’s worked for? She’s about to find out....

Can a groupie call be the beginning of a new life for Hendrix???

Hendrix is in the band “The Lost Boys”. Him and his band mates went into a deep depression after losing one of their band mates. They were drowning their feelings with having sex with anything that walks and copious amounts of alcohol. Their label is willing to do anything to try and pull them out of the funk and get them playing and writing again.
Everly is an accountability coach and was at a party at the record company. She needed a minute to herself when Hendrix from The Lost Boys came up accusing her of being a groupie as he didn’t know who she was. He was in her personal space and she told him to back off when he didn’t listen she flipped him over and she landed on top of him. He immediately kissed her. She pulled back and basically told him off. Later that night she was hired by the label to be The Lost Boys accountably coach to get them back on track. It was her idea to get them out of LA and she offered to take them to her family home in the middle of nowhere in Montana.
Both Hendrix and Everly have passed that they want to run from. Will they help or ruin each other?
I can’t get enough of Jess’ books. The chemistry between Hendrix and Everly is through the roof. There is a lot of angst between the two of them and she doesn’t take any of his crap.

2.5 🌟 Read on KU

JA Low is a hit or miss author for me. Usually, her books are really hot. This one wasn't. The steamy scenes were disappointing. They messed around a lot, but the one scene where they actually had sex was short and uninspired.

The whole book needs a thorough edit. There were many run-on sentences. There were also a lot of misused personal pronouns. There were missing words. There were also sentences that were awkward. Ones where a thought would start one way and then be reworded to be finished a different way. Like when you are talking and you realize it's impossible to finish the thought with somewhat correct grammar, so you change the way you are saying it half way through.

There were also several inconsistencies in the passage of time. Beyond the editing, the dialogue was the worst part. So much of what was said, especially by Everly, sounded forced. It reminded me of playing teacher with a friend as a child. We would say things we thought we had heard our teachers say, but it was all so cheesy. Everly says "guys" way too often.

The whole book could stand to be beefed up. The story is good, but it feels more like a rough draft.

I'm hoping Eli and Zeke will have a good book, as it seems they will be sharing a woman.

JA Low strikes again! Couldn't wait to read this one. I loved how we caught up with some of the Dirty Texas gang like a little reunion.

The Lost Boys have naughty written all over them, but on the inside they have a lot going on losing Brodie one of their brothers six month earlier has their lives spiralling, so Everley is brought in to try and get them back on track under the condition she doesn't sleep with any of the boys.

The way Hendrix and Everley rile each other up is funny to read, Hendrix just keeps digging himself a bigger hole, but his vulnerabilities is making him act out, until finally their attraction overtakes everything then its pure hot and spicy fireworks between them but keeping what they have a secret doesn't go to plan and soon Everleys actions come back to bite her.

This book completely consumed me, and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what comes next.

I have mixed feelings about this book. At first I was like yes..let’s get these guys straightened around! I was all in with the life coach thing. But, once they all got to Montana, that’s where they lost me. I felt Everly had good ideas to help them, but her methods with Hendrix were bad news, at the very least. It could be that the social worker in me was like…girl, you are no professional, I even went back to find out her degrees..counseling was in there. I almost DNF but the other 2 band members intrigued me, so I read on. Not the best suggestion…Vanessa was hardly mad at Everly for what she did, but then caved asap when the band sort of rebelled. And then…happily ever after…rather quickly.🤦‍♀️
I think I’m just a big JA Low fan of early books ie Dirty Texas and the Paradise series. Maybe I should just go back and reread them for a good fix. I’m disappointed because I wanted to like it😕

"I crave you. I keep telling you I’m obsessed with you, but you don’t seem to want to believe me. I’m not going anywhere, groupie. Especially not when you own my fucking heart, my mind and my soul.”

Rating: 3.5/5

- Rockstar romance
- Workplace: rockstar x accountability coach
- Forbidden/secret romance (please see above 😅)
- Forced proximity (living together on her family's Montana ranch)
- Grumpy/sunshine
- Reformed playboy
- No breakup
- Dual POV

This was not what I was expecting after reading one of J.A. Low's billionaire romances. It was a little darker (please check TWs), but I liked it!

Hendrix was a typically cocky playboy rockstar until Everly comes along and literally knocks him off his feet. He had a lot to work through but I liked his character development. He was a simp for her by the end 👏🏻. There was also some hot spice (dirty talk included) and she has the "F–k it" moment. You're welcome.

👏🏼 I LOVED THIS 👏🏼
This is my first rockstar book from this author and it won’t be my last. I can’t wait to go back and read the other series connected to this one.
I devoured this book.
I loved The Lost Boys. I loved Everly. I just loved it all.
Everly is an accountability coach and has been hired to whip The Lost Boys back into their rockstar role and writing their next album. The Lost Boys have been drowning their sorrows with drugs, sex and booze after the death of one of their fellow band mates and have been neglecting their contract to their label. Enter Everly who right off the bat doesn’t take their shit. She gets them back on track.
It was such a fun book and just really loved it.

Hendrix and his band are just at a stand still of writing and just becoming major PR hell. Why? Because their band mate passed away. When their PR manager gets fired for sleeping with the band, they of course need a new one. Everly comes into town and gets invited to go over to a Dirty Texas party. Where she hopes to impress Vanessa to become a life coach and get hired. Little does she know she makes out with her band crush only to get hired as their life coach. What happens when they go to Montana? What happens when lines are crossed?

I absolutely adored the vibes between Everly and Hendrix. I loved the banter and the take no crap attitude from Everly. I loved that she didn't let the boys walk over her. The heat between them was EVERYTHING!

Jess has done it again!

Loved Hendrix and Everly! Grumpy/Sunshine with a little rockstar thrown in, sign me up! I loved everything about their dynamic and the way their story developed. Jess has a way of drawing you in and making her characters real and believable. I will read anything she writes! Getting glimpses of the Dirty Texas fam was icing on the cake. I hope we get more Lost Boys in the future. Zeke and Eli finding their perfect third would be chef's kiss! Maybe we've even met her😉. A solid 4.5 stars for me, can't wait for more!

Loved it, great story, it’s much better reading it second time around. I loved being back in the Dirty Texas world. The Lost Boys are very lost after the death of Brodie, their friend & brother, in tragic circumstances. Their record label (Dirty Texas) still believe in them & find them a mentor to help them move in. Everly has her own past demons to overcome, but somehow they all work together towards overcoming their demons towards finding redemption & new life. It’s hopeful, & it’s hot - as I’ve come to expect from JA Low. A great rockstar romance.

I can’t believe I didn’t read this when I read the Dirty Texas series. After reading Dirty Ever After, I knew that I’d stumbled across Everly’s name before but hadn’t read her book. I think it made sense to read this book after Derrick’s book as it would’ve spoiled it for me had I known he was with Everly’s brother. I loved this story. It was so easy to read and I do love a small town romance story. I wish there was an epilogue to Everly & Hendrix’s book but having read Derrick’s book and his extended epilogue at the end, I knew where they were at. Just need a book about Zeke & Eli now!

Oh my, did Miss Jess get back to her rockstar roots with this one. Fans of the Dirty Texas series will love Hendrix and Everly. The grumpy/sunshine dynamic is hilarious and electric. The chemistry between these two comes right off the page. AND you get some glimpses of the DT Fam. This is a great intro to JA Low for readers new to her style of writing. The die hards will appreciate the familiarity of the storyline and characters. I look forward to what will come next in this series.

I recently met this author which is why I read it. As I'd never heard of her or this book, given its a fave genre of mine that's a bit remiss of me.

It was really nicely written with an interesting story. I personally didn't like the female lead character, I felt she was too weak esp as someone with her own business. But the lead and his two buddies had a wonderful chemistry. I cannot imagine what's next in the series but I think it will be interesting!

So lovely to be reading rockstars written by JA Low again, and The Lost Boys are so worth the read.

Hendrix and Everly have such chemistry and they make you feel hit just reading and Eli and Zeke are just wonderful. Bonus points that some of the Dirty Texas guys make an appearance, and extra bonus points for Derrick showing up as well.

Thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the read.

MS JA Low, you have given me another amazing read. I wished it was longer. These boys bond is really and truly a brother hood. The love they share is inspiring. The way they protect each other. I love how these series intertwine. I can't wait to read more. This one of my favourite authors. Never disappointed.

I am a massive fan of this author and devour everything.

I have to be honest and say this wasn’t my favourite. I thought by the end of the book I would love Hendrix like I have the other bad boys in her stories but I just couldn’t warm up to him. I am not sure why. Maybe I just didn’t feel he was sincere.

This won’t stop me from reading the rest of the series when it’s released.

It was exciting to start a new truck starts series with some cameos from our favorite Dirty Texas family. Getting to know Evelyn and Hendrix will keep you on your toes. My heart broke for the lost boys and their pain but watching them heal was a beautiful thing to witness. They found their family after powerful childhoods and now they need to heal.

I’m sorry this was so boring to me. The most interesting part was the backstories and that was it. Felt no connection between the main characters. The two band mates being together had a stronger connection.
