I wasn’t sure how to feel about carcel in the first few chapters but I began to like his character once him and ines officially got married. I absolutely love ines. she’s such a strong heroine and deserves the world 🙏🏻.

This eats, it’s like Bridgerton with even more complex characters. Inés deserves a happy ending fr she’s gone through so much, I’m liking how her character is developing through the story even Cárcel is showing layers behind him so yeah I’m rocking with this!

Actually, more handsome loser men should be told just how unlikable they are to their stupid, pretty faces. Inés is RIGHT.

Anyway.

This is GREAT.

Usually, I hate these reincarnation/“do-over” type stories where a character who experiences a tragedy gets an opportunity wind back the clock and try to avoid that fate. Because they’re almost exclusively BAD. Or, worse, just plain stupid. (Don’t @ me. You know I’m right.)

But, this one has an actual premise????

(Shocking how much that improves a story.)

More, Inés is a female character with real motivations. She has convictions and integrity. She’ll die for them. She DID. I’m so enraptured by her. Her presence consumes every page she’s on.

And, then there’s Cárcel.

He’ll become a better man—if he knows what’s good for him.

I love a pathetic loser man with that energy.

He’ll change his behavior because he’s afraid of the consequences of what will happen if he doesn’t? GOOD.

(That’s how you know this is a fantasy, btw.)

Anyway, anyway.

This is great—highly recommend. If you want an actually good, het manhwa, check this one out~

Carcel didn't like the idea of an engagement and marriage with the society's crow who apparently likes him very much, Ines. After 17 years of engagement, Ines finally said that he didn't care about Carcel anymore and she's willing to overlook his cheating and fooling around with other women. Now, Carcel is obsessed with Ines. Men are such simple creatures.

i love stories like this :( hahahahaha he is now Ines's dog. such a freak. the manhwa is comparably LIGHTER and less extensive than the novel. lol.

I found the manhwa first and was immediately hooked, and now that season 2 has ended and with cliffhanger, i need to know what happened!!
I didn't know how to feel about Carcel at first, but his redemption is good after His and Ines's marriage. He literally turned into the most loyal dog for her😆🙃.
And Ines, she is such a strong character😭and deserves all the happiness.

Can't wait to get to the part after season 2!!

No me esperaba nada en concreto, ni siquiera sabía en qué consistía la trama pero esto se volvió muy oscuro de golpe y me sentí muy impactada con el giro de la trama. Debí asumirlo por el desequilibrio en las expresiones, que noté en un inicio pero pensé que era sólo el estilo del ilustrador. No sé a dónde voy leyendo esto pero estoy intrigada por Inés.

When I first got into this on Tappytoon, it was from an ad on Instagram that made me think that it was a typical cheesy romance story (which I like), so when I actually started reading it, I was actually really surprised by how invested I got into it.

This review is for S1 of the webtoon.

The storyline, characters, pacing and art are so good. I binge read this because I couldn't stop myself and I wanted to know how Ines and Carcel's relationship would develop. It's interesting how this we get to see both Ines and Carcel's POVs in this story and the angst in this is chef's kiss, like seriously. Carcel was love with her while Ines was just using him.

And Ines's first and second lives were horrific and it's no wonder that she was the way she was, but even so, her tenacity to keep living out is admirable. I think she's a complex character but I think there's still a lot that we don't know about her, which makes this story much more interesting. There's so much angst material in this that I'm really looking forward to reading S2 and beyond. My only complaint is that there were certain scenes that I had to reread because I found it difficult to distinguish whether it was the present or a flashback.

No comprendo porque muchos le tiran a Inés diciendo que esta utilizando a Cárcel. Y si, lo está haciendo, pero dios mio, pónganse en el lugar de Inés, ha vivido tanto sufrimiento, obviamente se va concentrar en cumplir sus objetivos y no se dejará llevar por el amor de Cárcel hacia ella. El amor ya la ha abandonado muchas veces de forma horrible.

Yo amo Cárcel, adoro cuando el protagonista masculino ama a la prota en todas sus vidas y da todo por ella. Sin embargo, Cárcel no es ningún santo y ha cometido errores en las vidas pasadas como en esta. Sin embargo ha intentado cambiar y entender a Inés y se aprecia su esfuerzo.

En conclusión, es una historia con un desarrollo de los protagonistas increíble, que merece ser leída.

ahhhh i love this couple so much. i'm so glad cárcel woke up and realized inés is who he wants. even though the couple's relationship has somewhat improved, we're not at the stage where she's reciprocating his feelings and is still trying to encourage cárcel to cheat. i love the art style as well. i just want their feelings to be mutual such that cárcel can enjoy being with her knowing that it's mutual and for inés to have a happy life in this life.

Ach jaaa… Ich habe mich so sehr über die Lizenz gefreut, vor allem auch darüber, dass der englische Originaltitel beibehalten wurde und nicht in „Inés“ umbenannt wurde. Das fand ich wirklich schön.

Der Beitrag kann Spoiler enthalten, da ich die Reihe bereits bei Tappytoon gelesen habe und durch die Novel auch schon weiß, was noch alles passieren wird.

Man könnte vielleicht denken: „Oh, wieder eine typische Romantasy, bei der die Hauptprotagonistin eine neue Chance bekommt.“ Aber da steckt viel mehr dahinter. Bereits im ersten Band erfahren wir, dass Inés mindestens zwei Leben durchlebt hat. Einmal mit dem Kronprinzen Oscar und in ihrem zweiten Leben mit dem mittellosen Emiliano. Wir kratzen hier nur an der Oberfläche, und im Verlauf der Geschichte werden wir noch viel mehr darüber erfahren. Allein die Tatsache, dass Inés sich bereits in ihrem dritten Leben befindet und jedes Mal ihr Leben selbst verwirkt hat, macht mich neugierig, wie dieses Leben wohl enden wird.

Wer aufmerksam gelesen hat, wird auch bemerkt haben, dass Inés mit ihrem zweiten Neuanfang jünger war als bei ihrem ersten.

Ich kann die Geschichte wirklich nur jedem empfehlen, der Josei oder Romantasy mag. Für mich gehört dieser Manhwa zu den besten, die es momentan gibt.

Die Qualität des Manhwas stimmt ebenfalls, und mit der Übersetzung bin ich fast zufrieden. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt: Es macht mich doch etwas traurig, dass papertoons die spanischen Phrasen übersetzt hat. Das fällt zwar nicht auf, wenn man den Band zum ersten Mal auf Deutsch liest, und wahrscheinlich stört es auch niemanden. Aber da ich die englische Version kenne und weiß, dass im Koreanischen ebenfalls spanische Phrasen vorkommen, bin ich an dieser Stelle doch etwas enttäuscht. Ich hoffe, dass in Zukunft die spanischen Ausdrücke beibehalten werden.

they’ve been engaged since they were 6, but it’s been long delayed and it’s been the talk of high society, especially with Cárcel being the empire’s most notorious playboy. Inés, however, seems to be perfectly content with this arrangement, in fact, she encourages him to do whatever he wants even after the wedding so long as they maintain order among the nobility.
what the gossip and Cárcel don’t know is that Inés has plans for her marriage of obligation, and they have nothing to do with love. when Cárcel suddenly declares he is ready to reform his rakish ways, marry immediately, and prove to Inés that he is worthy of her true affection, she must to keep her wits about her or risk losing everything she’s spent lifetimes of heartache and desperation to obtain.

i loved this so much!! i was a bit confused at the beginning but as we went along, things started to click into place and i was hooked!! this ended up a lot heavier than i expected but it is SO interesting, especially when we got a certain backstory👀
i love both Inés and Cárcel’s characters, and i cannot wait to see how their development goes, as well as how their relationship grows!!

the art was also so beautiful and i love the lil funny moments drawn in chibi!! i’m so excited for volume 2😭

F: Was ist dir wichtig bei der Partnerwahl?

Die kleine Inés aus ,,The Broken Ring- Diese Ehe ist zum scheitern verurteilt “ sucht sich den jungen Cárcel aus aufgrund seines schönes Gesichts und möchte ihn heiraten.

Die Reihe hat bis jetzt 5 Bände, im deutschen kommt der zweite Band im August raus. Wie viele Bände es werden, steht noch nicht fest.

Es ist eine reifere Story die Figuren sind über 18 und die Empfehlung ist über 18 da es düstere Szenen enthält .

Mein zweiter Papertoons Manwha und ich bin begeistert von der Qualität! Aber auch wie wunderschön der Zeichenstil ist !

Mir haben Inés und Cárcel sehr gut gefallen. Gerade weil Inés sehr zurückhaltend und distanziert ist . Ihr Schicksal hat mich sprachlos gemacht, darauf wäre ich nicht gekommen, doch im Nachhinein macht es sinn ,warum sie sich so benimmt. Und bei Cárcel hoffe ich das er wirklich ein guter Kerl ist ,sonst wüsste ich nicht mehr weiter.
Die anderen Figuren finde ich ziemlich schwierig.

Ich fiebere mit und brauche Band 2!

ปกติไม่ชอบที่พระเอกสำส่อน แต่พออ่านๆ ไป ก็เป็นเพราะนางเอกด้วยส่วนหนึ่ง เผลอๆ ชาติแรกฮีไม่ได้กะใครเลย
แต่พอเป็นชาติที่สอง นางเอกไม่นึกถึงพระเอกด้วยซ้ำ จนมาชาติสามถึงเพิ่งมาระลึกได้
คือมันเหมือนนางเอกฉลาดมาก เก่งในการควบคุมคน แต่หนีจากชะตาผู้หญิงไม่ได้อีก
ทั้งๆที่ฉลาดมาก งงไหม มันให้ความรู้สึกว่ามันไม่ควรต้องย้อนเวลาวนลูปด้วยซ้ำ ถ้ามีอะไรให้นางเอกตระหนักได้ก่อน ไม่สินางอะรู้ว่าองค์รัชทายาทเป็นผู้ชายที่ไม่ทันตัวเอง ทั้งๆ ที่รู้แบบนั้น นักเขียนกลับปล่อยให้มันเป็นไปเหมือนผู้หญิงส่วนมากในโลกเลือกที่จะทำ แต่นี่มันนิยายยยยยย เธอเล่นรีสตาร์ทใหม่เหมือนเกมหลังจากตายลงได้ยังไงกัน
แล้วก็ชาติแรกรัชทายาทสำส่วนจนแท้งลูกไปสี่ แต่ชาติสามนางเอกทำให้พระเอกเป็นพวกนอนไม่เลือกแล้วยังกล้านอนกลับพระเอกได้ยังไง หรือผู้หญิงส่วนมากเป็นแบบนี้ ต่อให้ซวยได้รับเชื้อSTD มาแล้วก็ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ตัวเองนอนกับผู้ชายที่สำส่อน

Uh, das war ja so viel besser, als ich gedacht hab!
Tatsächlich war mein erster Gedanke, dass es wieder ein Isekai wird.. war dann aber nicht so. Was es stattdessen ist, will ich nicht verraten, da man das erst im Laufe des Bandes rausfindet. Die Idee find ich aber sehr gut durchdacht, auch wenn ich mich noch frage, wie es denn dazu kam 🤔 bin mir aber recht sicher, dass sich das im weiteren Verlauf klären wird 😄

Das Artwork ist sehr schön, auch wenn es hier wieder ein paar Panels gab, die verzerrt und verschwommen wirkten (irgendwie scheint das öfters der Fall zu sein?) - hat dem ganzen aber nicht viel geschadet. Mit den Charakteren muss man erst ein wenig warm werden, aber ihre Gedankenzüge werden dann immer klarer und so kann man vieles verstehen und nachempfinden. Der Plot macht auch Sinn und ich bin gespannt, wo das alles noch hinführt.

This is not Inés first or second life, but her third life. It is interesting that this life seems to have the highest risk of a similar outcome to her first life given her fiancé's activities, but without the derision of the royal family driving her, she seems to be okay with these choices and resolved herself to essentially not caring so long as they can maintain their freedom. Cárcel seems even more confused by this as he faces facts and resigns himself to finally following through with their engagement to be married. Oddly, it seems the tables may have turned slightly where Cárcel is actively interested in Inés and she is attempting to keep her distance while going through the expected paces of their lives. It will be interesting to see how things change as there is a brief scene in the beginning that appears as if they both are invested in the relationship at some point.

I say this is a work of art you made here, I mean just by the ber begining to very end it was incredibly outstanding, I AM SO SAD THAT THEIR IS NO S3 YET😭😭😭😭😭, PLEASE I beg you that you must not Die in order for this to not end at all, the art, plot, the characters are well in thought and to think that I wasted my entire day just for me to finish it and to be devastated as well to find out that their isn't a S3 yet though I do not want you to be pressured by it, please take your time as long as you don't die it's ok my DEAR author, I am Exaggerating am I?? But this is just the right way to react with this AMAZING NOVEL of yours. I am truly grateful of your existence, THIS DESERVES ALL THE ATTENTION THEIR IS.

Der Manhwa war nicht wirklich etwas für mich. Ich empfand die Charaktere (auch nachdem erklärt wurde warum sie so sind wie sie sind) als sehr unsympathisch. Auch die Erzählweise mit den Anspielungen und Geheimnissen und vor allem den ständigen Wiederholungen sehr anstrengend bis hin zu nervig.
Die Story an sich war interessant und ich würde gern erfahren wie alles weitergeht, allerdings nur wenn ich mir die Folgebände irgendwo ausleihen kann. Diesen ersten Band hatte mir eine gute Freundin ausgeliehen und ich bin froh, die Reihe nicht selbst gekauft zu haben.

HOLY SHIT the novel for this made me die inside when reading what Ines had to go through in her past lives. I think the manhwa does justice and hearing more of her inner monologue is pleasing to me. The artwork is very beautiful and the smut is top tier.

I have to knock one star because while the manhwa is good, its rather messy in pacing and cut out quite a lot from the novel that I thought was important.
