Sander slid into the seat in front of me, I lost the ability to talk. This man is a tall glass of “thank you may I have another.”
Subtlety I wiped the drool from the corner of my mouth.

What did this man do for a living, wrestle bulls?

I’m confident being a thicker girl, he could handle me in the sheets.

His sudden deep laugh and sparkle in his eyes hinted he wasn’t like other guys.

Although we just met, he checks off all my must have boxes.

Ironically, I was on a blind date with his friend, he moved his feet and Sander took his seat.

His compliments and mannerisms ensured me he was feeling the same connection.

A night of heated passion following a morning debacle led me to walk away alone.

I have zero intentions of being a stage five clinger.

Reality smacks me in the face, turns out Mr. New in town, one-night stand is now my next-door neighbor…

I enjoyed reading the story 'Blind Date Rescue' by Serenity Raine. I read it in one sitting because I found it interesting. I liked both Amber and Lysander. When Lysander met Amber, he told her that his name was 'Sander' because he didn't want her to know his real identity. He had been emotionally abused by an ex-wife who was only interested in his money and how to spend it. When he started seeing Amber in their little hometown that he was visiting for a short while, he wanted her to like him for who he was and not for what he had. Unfortunately, he carried the charade for too long and did not know how to explain the lies he had told her. His vindictive ex-wife got involved and told Amber before he could. Amber was left to believe she never really knew the real man especially when she found out that he was getting ready to return to New York. Lysander desperately apologized to her and wanted to make up. It was very interesting, and the plot continues until they reach their happy ending.

I loved the narration of Natasha Nite, who brings out the angst, heat and characters.

Amber finds herself on another blind date from hell, with a man called Max. She is grateful when Sander who rescues her. They spend a hot one night together at his place. Not expecting to see each other again as Sander becomes cold to Amber the next morning. Well fate can play games, Amber discovers that Sander has rented the apartment next to her. Sander knows that he has to tell the truth about who he is and why he was cold to her. Sander was hurt in the past, as he ex only wanted him for his money. But before he can talk to Amber, his ex confronts Amber and tells her the truth about Sander. Hurting Amber who does not anything to do with him. This book is full of drama and angst,

A great love story

When I enjoy a book a lot, 5 stars never seems enough. This is a 8-10 star book to me. I liked it, enjoyed reading about Amber and Sander's lives and families. The both had a rough life during their previous marriages which kind of made them afraid of commitment. Sander did a boo boo by not telling Amber completely about himself until it was too late. His ex-wife and his old school buddy were (sorry if I'm not politically correct) nuts! Sure kept things hopping. Well worth reading. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Written by Cindy :)

When Amber's blind date turns disastrous his friend steps in, and things take a different turn with him and Amber having an intimate night together. The next morning his attitude changes leaving Amber no choice but to respect his wishes but when they end up being next door neighbors will their feelings ramp up with the getting a chance for a happily ever after. This story kept me glued to the pages.

Quick read

This is a quick read, just a bit of spice. The character development is pretty shallow and while the angst was there, I didn't really root for the characters. There are some strange offshoot characters that don't do much to move the story along.

A good read with some twists and turns. But not being truthful about yourself is not a good thing, especially in this story. Such sparks between the guy and girl, but still holding back because of past issues. It was great to see them make their way back to the beginning and work it out from there.

Enjoyed watching them wake up to each other and get past all of their past. Grab a glass of wine and read how they make it together.
