When Gene smells his fated mate, he jumps fences to get to his house and shifts to human form to see in the window. Unfortunately, he's too short. He moves a table under the window and stands on it. But not for long.
Vance is shocked to discover the unconscious naked man in his back yard. When Gene wakes up, he pretends to have amnesia so he won't have to answer Vance's questions.
But that's not Gene's only problem. Vance's boyfriend Brett just got back to town from a trip.
Vance hates being lied to. Does Gene take the risk of exposing the entire wolf shifter community to win the heart of one ordinary human?

A nice little short shifter story, sadly over too soon but a good read. I've read a couple of this author's other works, all usually short and mostly uncomplicated tales, although there is that splash of angst in there.
