Brave firefighter causing a stir in my quaint flower shop. Chris is the man who saved my shop and stole my heart.
Rushing to rescue my wilting roses was never on today's agenda, Yet, there he stands, with his strong arms and captivating eyes, amidst the chaos.
His confident stride, his teasing smirk surrounded by petals and scents. His gaze met mine, radiating warmth that rivals any blazing fire. Dressed in hero's garb, yet it's the tenderness beneath that draws me in.
But wait..
I've been burned by love before. Yet, the way he rescues kittens and passionately fights blazes... The intense care in his every action...
With this man, sparks fly in more ways than one. But can our love weather the infernos of our past?
'Determined Firefighter' was sweet. The saccharine-laden plot was filled with anticipation, a new beginning, some baggage, doubts, and what?! a break? Chris and Sophia, the main characters, appeared to be made for each other. However, the storyline should have been arranged a little differently to achieve the desired outcome of Chris and Sophia's baggage as to the cause of their taking a break after Sophia intimated she was anxious about his dangerous job of being a firefighter. Somehow, what was going on in the plot wasn't meshing with their dialogue. Therefore, I feel the narrative could have been outstanding if the sequence of events had been arranged differently. Flames of Love - Even though Chris met Sophia for the first time when he answered the call for a fire in her shop, he felt an intense attraction towards her that he took a chance to flirt and was happy when she showed she was interested in him too. Chris and Sophia took time getting to know each other before embarking on a relationship, but their baggage got in the way of their happiness. Fortunately, Chris and Sophia were able to get the push they needed to get back on track towards their happiness. You will enjoy reading this emotional and angst filled romance story, and be happy to recommend it.
