Joseph Neumann is lost, far from home, and amongst strangers who have plans for him he can't begin to comprehend. Even if he manages to get free, can he escape the destiny they designed for him?
Joe has challenges and drama galore, and plenty to cope with. His overwhelming guilt and believing he was bad for defending himself or protecting others got a bit much at the end. Still, it was a grand saga, spanning over a thousand pages. Decently edited, though not to the same standards as the first two books. The repeated tearful guilt got a bit much toward the end (one ding), but still enjoyed.
