so here's the thing: i don't actually hate smut filled books.

what i hate is when authors promise a romance and you get some half baked relationship that they didn't care to actually develop and instead give u what they consider to be raunchy sex scenes. cause i guess that's what sells.

THIS on the other hand? promises smut. it promises a corn shuckin good time. and tril delivered that. thank you queen.

like always, i really appreciated the writing of this book. i can get bored with repetitive sex scenes but these felt unique and the character dialogue had me giggling. plus the ending is something i really could get on board with. and like... i'm a football loving hoe. winding up married to a pro quarterback in vegas? a fantasy i was all too happy to indulge in.

Oh boy, this was unexpectedly raunchy... I might have totally judged the book by its cover and thought I was getting something cutesy and not overly smutty... BUT BOY WAS I WRONG 'CAUSE THIS BOOK IS SPICY!!

We follow Eleanor, who, on a girl's trip to Vegas, gets extremely drunk, has a foursome with 3 men, and wakes up Mrs. Matthews. It should be mentioned that those men were her newly "labelled" husband and his 2 "Best Men". Crew Matthews is a rising star Quarterback and, besides being incredibly horny and open to sharing, does not need a wife in his life. A new team has just drafted him and needs things to be perfect for the deal to go through. Unfortunately, things happen that prevent the two from a speedy divorce, and they are forced to be stuck together for a month...

This book is incredibly cliché, like think of any typical "what happens in Vegas" plot, and it's almost this. But I haven't had a book that made me giggle and laugh out loud as much as this in a long time. It tries overly hard to be funny, and if you look too deeply, it can be cringe or overly exaggerated snark because the humour of these characters only exists to this level of quick-wittedness or funny in movies and books.

Elle was a complete Wild Card... and boy did she live up to her name. Sarcastic, genuine, and authentic and has a lust for life that almost makes her a complete free spirit or lacks any inhibitions. She is also horny as heck. Crew is a typical gorgeous quarterback. He knows he is the stuff, so he is cocky, arrogant, and likes to be the centre of attention.

The thing you need to know about this book is it is not going to give you a deep-founded relationship between two people. I do not think there was ANY scene of the two of them that did not develop into ending with an orgasm or two. This is purely a relationship founded on lust and sex, and sprinkled in between is their bond development. So if you are looking for more relationships than sex, I don't think this book is for you.

Overall, I ate this up for the uninhibited smutfest that it was, as it gave me the enjoyment that I needed.

ŠIutty buddies, Eleanor and Millie hop on a plane to let loose in Vegas after all their hard work preparing to open their own salon. Drinks with the LV Raiders starting line is all fun and games until the boys get competitive. A drunken night of debauchery ends with Eleanor and Crew saying “I do.”

The hilarity is next-level. Seriously. The pop culture references (Twilight, anyone?) were on point. But I’m not gonna lie, this one-handed read was surprisingly emotional. Trilina expertly had me feeling the feels.

Knot so Lucky had me ROLLING, the humor is SO my humor and I can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud! Humor is the way to my heart, and this book is chaotic and hilarious in the very best way. It felt like it was coming from my own head.

The spice was next level!! After Tangled in Tinsel, I thought Trilina can’t beat that, not possible. WRONG! Wrong wrong wrong… Knot so Lucky is HAWWWWT! Am I extremely jealous of a fictional character? Yep, yup, yeppers, I sure am.

I absolutely loved this book, and I’m not being biased because my recipe is in the back of it. Even if it wasn’t, I’d be hyping this book up just as hard. Read it! It’s a really really wild good time, you’ll be so glad you did, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear.

The heroine: Eleanor - she wakes up in the morning after getting drunk in Las Vegas and married to a stranger. Her sister wakes her up with text messages and phone calls after seeing Eleanor’s posts on Instagram, which included a little chapel. Eleanor had arrived in Vegas yesterday with her bestie Millie. They had been busting their butts working at a salon lately and saving up for their future salon and need a break.

The Heroes: Crew, T.J. and Nate - Professional football players for the Las Vegas Raiders. Crew is the quarterback has a bad reputation in the NFL and everyone thinks he is his own worst enemy. He is looking forward to a trade to the 49’ers along with his two best friends T.J. and Nate (wide receiver and defensive end). Though Crew needs to be good until the trade goes through and the papers are signed.

The Story: It was the 4th of July and Crew sees Eleanor partying and is mesmerized by her from the first site. He immediately wants her to be his. They have some drinks together and have a good time on a party bus. They flirt all night long and end up getting married by Elvis, then having a foursome with Crew’s friends. Both Crew and Eleanor planned on getting a divorce or annulment the next day since both of them were not at all ready for any kind of commitment, they just thought getting married in Vegas would be fun.

I love the accidentally married in Vegas trope, especially when the Hero is a celebrity of some sort, whether it be a pro athlete, a rock star or an A-list actor. This one was quite different than anything I read before because it is a reverse-harem. Though it was a bit questionable from the blurb as to whether it would be a true reverse-harem or just a one-time thing, before the happy couple finds they are perfect for each other, so I liked the unpredictability of this one.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via a full cast duet narration and was narrated by Jacob Morgan, Teddy Hamilton, Lee Samuels, Alexis Paige, and Samantha Brentmoor. Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are two of my favorite male narrators, so I figured how could I go wrong with them two and a full cast. Samantha Brentmoor has a very nice voice and is great at showing emotion through her voice and Alexis page as Millie was very good as well.

If you want a fun book with a lot of steam and end up in love with the hero, pick a Trilina book. Even if you want to fall in love with more than one hero, she also has you covered.
Crew can be my QB anytime.

"Let’s just say I put a quarter into the slot machine of life and got a full house."
Eleanor takes a trip to Vegas with her best friend, and it’s supposed to be fun. But disasters start hitting soon. Suffice to say, she ends up doing a walk of shame after having (maybe) slept with three guys and marrying one of them. But it’s cool; she can get it annulled and what happens in Vegas can stay that way.

"Her pussy is my Super Bowl, and I want that ring. So fucking bad."
Crew is a QB and having fun with his friends on a random night. But then he sees her, and he needs to have her. So much so that he marries her. But shit hits the fan when they need to stay married.
It’s all fun and games until you have to live in the same place as the girl who pushes every single button you have.

"Wild Card, no more flirting with the bench. I’m the starting fucking lineup."
There are bets involved, her sister (from the previous book), her best friend, his two friends. There’s his job and the dream she has. And there’s a cameo from Tangled In Tinsel. However, what got to me was the progress in their relationship. It really is the small things, and I love a possessive hero.

"You’re gonna be the death of me, Wild Card."
"I’m gonna be the death of you? I should buy stock in Tylenol because my pussy getting murdered is keeping them in business."
This is HOT! I’m not gonna say it made me blush because it takes a lot for that to happen, but damn! It is the type of book that fuels your fantasies and takes your mind away from real life for a while. No spoilers. You have to read it.
Suffice to say, I needed that.

I’m not going to lie. I found Eleanor teenager-y and downright annoying for the first 35% of the book. But don’t let that stop you from reading it. I’m guessing it really is a “me thing” and I’m glad I pushed on because she does make up for it.
And the lack of filter she has is very refreshing.

"She’s not mine. I mean, she is, but like in an I can’t get rid of her because I’m legally obligated kind of way. Right?"
They try to keep their hands off each other, but that’s clearly not happening. They also try to keep it all in the sort-of-married-couple-with-benefits-with-an-expiration-date, but it starts to fall through because there was something there all along.

"Her eyes are so pretty that I’m starting to wonder if the memory of them will ever do them justice."
You get them acting stupid and denying what everyone can see. You get their doubts and reasoning that don’t make sense because come on!!!
And you’re also going to get the grand gesture. And yeah, I loved it.

"You rushed the quarterback,"
To make it clear, this is not a "why choose". You can easily tell it’s been Crew and El all along, even if there are some awesome group scenes. Sharing is caring and all that, but if you’re lucky to get love in the process, you want it all for yourself.
Makes sense to me.

I skimmed probably 45% of this because I just could not handle how meh it was . I didn’t come for the plot but I was expecting Tangled In Tinsel level spice to make up for it and it just didn’t hit. I found both main characters to be incredibly annoying. It lacked any sort of depth, which again, if the spice had been top tier we’d be having a different conversation but this felt very immature and amateur hour.

just a silly and very sexy time.

the chemistry, sexual tension, and back and forth between eleanor and crew was incredible, and the things they thought and said to each other had me wondering how the hell can someone come up with lines like those (and i mean that in a good way, and it seems to be a constant with the books in this series).

... and the group scenes with tj and nate were 🔥. sometimes i'm just in the mood for some smut and that craving was successfully fulfilled with this book.

this book was so fun and unhinged in the best way possible! getting married in vegas while completely hammered (because duh) to a pro football player, and getting to have fun with his friends too?? with the cherry on top being that you’re court ordered to stay married for 30 days, sharing laughs, getting into debauchery (yes his hot friends are still around) and maybe falling in love?

i got a chance to listen to the audiobook thanks to Forever and Always PR and it did not disappoint in the slightest. so many heavy hitter narrators that always give great performances

Funny, cute, and spicy, one of my favorite trios!!! I loved Tangled in Tinsel when I read it over Christmas, now we meet Sam’s sister Ellie and her brand new husband! Errrr, what? That’s right, Ellie meets Crew, one third of the 49ers newest hot shot trio, during a drunken night of debauchery in Vegas. For the record, those are my favorite marriages! They have an amazing night with his two best friends Nate and TJ serving as wing-men, as in one for each hole, and then they all wake up The Hangover style wondering where the tiger is.

Ellie and Crew have to stay in Vegas for 30 days together remaining married before the judge will sign off on their divorce. So what else is there to do really, but live it up in Vegas…and also get to know each other, fall in like with each other, all the things they said they wouldn’t do. I laughed my way through this, it’s silly, witty, funny, HOT because my man Crew knows how to use that mouth, and I ate it up! Can’t wait to read Millie’s story with Nate and TJ!

Knot So Lucky is the second book in the Holidates series (if you haven’t read the first book Tangled in Tinsel I’d definitely recommend, it’s never too early for Christmas, Ho Ho Ho 😉). It follows Crew and Eleanor (and sometimes his best friends/teammates 😏), did I already say this book was really spicy?

There was just something about this book! I have no idea what Trilina Pucci put in this bad boy but I DEVOURED IT!!

I had so many expectations to this book, from the start of the book we are introduced to a very crazy and unhinged cast of characters, but where it all fall off is after 25% where it is just a smut filled sex fest.

The first chapter is filled with many unpredictable decisions and the crazy coincidences and outside events interfering with their lives. I really thought that the interesting would just be progressively more complex and more complicated through the entire thing and the ending wood be the most explosive *lock in* moment by her to fix everything that happens in her life but that is not what happened in here. It is a typical smut romance, it's fell off drastically after the first quarter it became a totally different book.

You cannot even differentiate Crew, TJ & Nate. ALL OF THEM ACT LIKE THE SAME GUY. None of them are unique and pretty much can be morphed into the same person and you wont even notice it. There is a lot of hate banter in here and there are also many sex scenesss, wowwwwww, totally never got tired of that already, like it happens on every chapter it's basically a filler.

I can't remember how this made it into my TBR, but thank the universe it did. Laughed more than any comedy movie I've watched. (Some of my favourite retorts below)

It was so funny and hot 🥵 that although it probably has a high ratio of sex, it didn't feel overwhelming or boring. I ate that sh*t up, and I wish there was some crumbs to keep going and get an after taste.

The blurb is a bit misleading in many ways; my man's personality is hot AF.
I think the FMC and MMC could have had more emotional character depth (and we could have had a bit more drama), we got small sneak peaks, but I guess we're here for the fun and this served!

Some of my favourite retorts, but just go read the book, because I highlighted pages of dialogue on end:

1- "I distinctly remember buying condoms that looked like poker chips. Because when they rolled them on, I yelled jackpot."

2- “This is not a hotel with an H. It’s a motel with a fucking M for murder."

3- “I know someone who knows Liam Neeson’s trainer. This bitch is not about to be taken.”

4- "I’ve never wanted to be a role model, but god has his favorites, so it would be selfish of me not to accept this privilege."

Hands down, Knot So Lucky is my favorite book of the year. I haven't laughed this hard in a book for some time.


Eleanor is my kind of girl. If she was a non-fiction character, we could get into some serious trouble together. No shame, funny, and claims her sexuality. I love her. The way she pushed Crew’s buttons, hysterical.


Then there's Crew; he is that kind of dirty you can't wash off and don't want to. I love to make a bet with him. Let's not forget his two side kicks, the Tweedles, TJ and Nate.

Imagine waking up in Vegas, hungover, married to a stranger. But not just any stranger, a famous Quarterback and you allegedly slept with his two friends. It equally sounds like a start of a bad joke and funny as hell story. Our girl Eleanor takes it all in stride until it’s real.

I didn’t just laugh at this book; it made me feel everything. It drew me in, kept me there, and I abandoned all my adult responsibilities. I read the book in one sitting. Let's not forget the spice. Our girl is living the spice dream. Knot So Lucky is a must-read.

2⭐️ What in the manic pixie dream girl was that!?

Seriously, the amount of absolute cringe, "not like other girls" bullsh¡t this book piles on is insane. The smut was smutty, but there was too much asinine plot for me to actually enjoy it. And the ending could've been decent -but then again, the whole book could've been if things were different lol- but the big trouble/ third act break up is just her being scared of "being one of those girls"... only to then run ahead and become exactly that? Idk, but so much about this book pissed me off.

Also, I thought this was a poly romance since there are many FMMM scenes... it's not. She just likes f*cking his friends too, that is until he decides he wants to stop sharing. I wish I was kidding.

🌶🌶🌶.5/ 5 - The spice is 'burn your tongue off' spicy, but I couldn't really enjoy it all that much because I kind of couldn't stand either of the MCs lol.

I think going into this with the proper understanding of what the relationship will be, is crucial. This isn't a reverse harem at all and so, for me, I was really disappointed and that made me sulky. I don't really like the type of relationship represented in this book so my rating is really more of a personal nature.

So … I bought this when it first came out and it’s been sitting on my kindle for a while. I didn’t read the blurb, seen the word knot in the title, and I thought Trilina wrote an omegaverse book 😆😆. Nope. Wrong.

This book is fun and really dirty 🔥🥵. The story is good and the characters are really likeable and all kinda crazy.

Trilina is establishing herself in the so-called smut-com subgenre and I'm here for the ride. Knot So Lucky isn't a feel-good book, no, it's a feel-amazing-and-horny-self-care-is-in-order kinda book.

Eleanor is having a wild night in Vegas with her bestie but the party ends up not only with her tying the knot with a famous NFL quarterback but also with them celebrating their impromptu wedding with two of his best friends. In bed. Together. I mean, they tag-teamed her.

Turns out they can't get an annulment the next day, so they're very much stuck together in a marriage of (in)convenience for the next thirty days.

Like in Tangled in Tinsel, she has done the "every woman experience" again and I love it. If you're not familiar with the concept, it is when the author doesn't physically describe the heroine—you can picture whoever you want, yourself included.

It was refreshing that both MCs were portrayed as players. Eleanor and Crew weren't trying to prevent themselves from falling in love with one another, but preventing themselves to lead the other on—and that dynamic alone was gold.

Trilina writes the best FMCs, Eleanor was no different. Eleanor is so freaking funny. I had a blast with her. She's strong-minded and committed to herself, she's definitely a person you'd want to be friends with. And she had a mouth as dirty as the guys, I'm totally here for it.

I'm sure Crew is gonna surprise you, he sure as hell surprised me. I did like him from the beginning but I was head over heels by the end of the book, he was dreamy, and I'm not saying this just for the filthy things he's done and said. I loved his development so much, I didn't see that coming. I loved his nickname for her. It's definitely different, and quirky, but so fitting, and it wasn't overused, which is always a win.

Before reading it, I confess that I was a little unsure about what would be Nate and TJ's roles in the story, considering that it's not a why-choose romance (this is not a spoiler, the author has said it before). Their participation in the story was well-balanced, and their dynamic played out perfectly, even better than I have envisioned. I loved the Tweedles and I can't wait to read more about these two.

As for the smut, Trilina remains unbeatable. She writes one of the best spice I've ever read. It's so deliciously detailed and, the best thing about it, not cringe at all. Seriously, some scenes will live rent-free in my head for a long time.

By the end of it, it had just enough angst, very light-hearted, keeping up with the tone of the book. Leading to a heart-warming but also funny ending, absolutely loved it.

“I feel a thousand emotions all at once. But the one thing I don’t want to feel is regret. Because Crew Matthews is worth the gamble.”

Overall, the book was a lot of fun. The humor in it was on point, my stomach hurt from laughing so hard. The ratio between romance, comedy, and smut was perfect. My only complaint is that she skipped July 11th, it's my birthday, I wanted it written on the book, dammit 😂

I know that Trilina Pucci will deliver on the spice and the fun and that's exactly what she did with Knot So Lucky. From the beginning, I loved the playful dynamic between Eleanor and Crew. They knew how to push each other's buttons, but they also couldn't stop climbing all over each other whenever they were near. Their chemistry burned through the pages and I was obsessed with them. I loved how they had to stay married in order to get a divorce and Crew turned it into a bit of a game with her friends. And his friends?! The cast of characters were all just so lovable and I just had such a good time reading this book! Plus the group activities were *so good*. If you want a spicy good time, you have to pick up this book!!
