Never read a book that focused an a poly relationship, so that was new. It kinda reminded me of that poly couple that went viral on Tik Tok live a few months ago. Lol.
One man, with four wives with different personalities. Each person had something going on, I just wish I got to see some growth in a few of the characters.
Hmm, what else..there were lots of spicy scenes.
One thing I didn’t like was that the two brothers frequently mentioned “punching her” “I’m gunna slap her” or “choke her out” that kind of annoyed me. They never did it but I rolled my eyes every time they said it.
Lots of cursing and a few typos.
There were moments that had me laughing too!

okay....
so this book was different.
my first poly book.. & it definitely opened my eyes to a whole new trope lol. to think that champ was in love with four different women in different ways was wild. almost understandable.. but idk chile. this book had its twists and turns but the ENDING?! such a surprise. i was also surprised that chevy went along with the marriage..... but i guess chile. off to book two!

haven’t even passed the two meeting
These characters already annoying. I ain’t gone lie I chose to read the book because of the cover. I was done when the male character addressed the readers, that’s soooo irritating. I kept reading a little further and I’m just over the angry black woman deal. Chevy was always mad like girl get over it ppl lose their jobs everyday. Move on and grow up. 🙄🙄🙄 more background on the wives and characters would have been nice. Maybe it comes later but i won’t find out. Over it already.

My mother was wrong on all levels. The things that she was saying about Champ wasn't cool. I blame myself, though. I've let the shit go on for far too long. The worst thing I could have ever done was put my mother in my business. The biggest mistake women make is putting other people in their relationship, which opens up doors for people to talk shit and tell your business. Yeah, I learned I valuable lesson.

You have to have an opened mind reading this book. Polygamy isn't for everybody. Although Casanova and Champion grew up in the lifestyle with their mother's and father. Casanova tried following what he was taught by his mother and father by having multiple wives but that wasn't his thing. His ex wife Jalah seemed to understand but his other ex wife Desire don't. I believe she's going to become a problem. Especially when she find out that Chevelle have Casanova heart in a chokehold and he only wants to be a one woman man. Champion feel like he have his three wives Charisma, Jakarri, and Britt under control. However Jakarri obsession with Champion and the jealousy she has towards the other wives is disturbing and unhealthy. She feels she is more important as the second wife because she Champion children. Jakarri have snake tendencies though and I have a strong feeling her and Champion father have something going on. I knew it wouldn't take long for Chevy to realized that Champion was the cause of her losing everything but he definitely made sure she was compensated once he explained and told her the truth. I already knew that Champion was also smitten with Chevy. Her becoming his fourth wife didn't go well when Charisma and Jakkari. Britt told Champion that she had a feeling that Jakarri was going to end up doing something and she was correct. Charisma feelings were hurt and she broke their contract not knowing Damoni isn't who she think he is. Him popping up at her house seemed weird. Something is off with Senior. Casanova and Champion realized with their father abruptly leaving their mother's and leaving without letting them know. That he was on some bs. They already witnessed him pulling a snake move behind their back. I have a feeling that whatever caused Senior sneaky ass to disappear. Is going to cause a lot of drama when he returns. The Fourth Wife is a gripping, sexy multi-POV romance story that will have you feeling all types of emotions. It follows the complex lives of Chevy & Chevelle Cooper, Champion “Champ” and Casanova Denali, and Champ’s three wives, Charisma, JaKarri, and Brittany, and how deal with drama, trauma, and turmoil in their family.
I love how Mz Lady P chose her characters' names. This is my first time reading a book with Characters named after different Chevrolet models. I thought that was very different, and I’m a Chevy girl at heart.
Chevy Cooper is a bank manager at Fifth National Bank, a position she worked hard for only to be snatched away with quickness after a bank robbery. With no job and on the verge of homelessness, Chevy finds herself at wit's end. That‘s until her sister, Chevelle introduces her to a rich businessman named Champion, the reason why her life is in shambles. With promises of safety, a fat bank account, and a high-ceiling roof over her head, Chevy dives head-first into Champion’s crazy and complicated polyamorous world. I couldn’t even blame sis for saying yes to a deal like that but I thought she understood the terms & conditions. Whoops!
Living a polygamous lifestyle is a rich man’s sport and Champion Denali is the MVP. Champ is a successful entrepreneur, a good husband, and a great father but he is also the type of man you stay away from in real life because he can sell salt to a slug. Let me insert this quote as an example, "My biggest flex is being able to make a b—- submit to me and allow me to turn her the f—-out. I come with the guarantee that you'll never want to turn back after f——g with a champ like me." Chevy saw that as a challenge and accepted it. Poor girl thought she was playing with a rookie.
The different storylines with the other characters mashed well together. You get a chance to see how everybody felt about their own or mutual situations and babyyyy they were feeling some type of way, especially Jakari and Charisma. Brittany said, “I'm Team Champ!”
Chevelle and Casanova's side story gave me a glimpse of what his life is like after leaving the lifestyle he was born into.
I highly recommend this story to read. I’m telling you won’t be disappointed. You’re going to be rushing to read book 2 after finishing this one.

This book was decent and I would rate it a 3.5 star read. There were many plot twists and storylines that it was hard to keep up with lol. Polygamy is not my cup of tea but I loved how raw and honest the author was with it. Polygamy is real and it was cool seeing it in perspective. I was not really a fan of Ja’Karri (wife #2) or Chevy (wife #4). Chevy was too entitled, spoiled, selfish, and annoying. She came in thinking she was the stuff and I would really like for her to be humbled in the next book. Karri was psychotic, vindictive and jealous. They betta watch out for her because I feel that she is shady and up to no good. I feel as if she’ll even go as far as into trying to kill one of the other wives. My favorite wife was Brittany (wife #3). I just love how peaceful, calm and collected she is. Yes she’s naive but she’s also really sweet and was sheltered. Charisma (wife #1) was also cool. I loved her attitude and how she handled things. Yes I’m justifying her cheating on Champ. I mean she did what she had to do. Champ became way too comfortable with just picking women without running it by Charisma. Speaking of Champ, not really a big fan of him either. He has was too much on his plate and he’s not very good at juggling 4 wives.
Anyways I’m excited to see what happens in book 2, because book 1 ended on a major cliffhanger!
P.S I want Chevelle and Casanova to have their own book. I love their dynamic a lot more! They were funny, a little toxic but had a good relationship.

I was totally blindsided with that cliffhanger
Well I’ll be damn the dead has arisen lol. That cliffhanger almost took me out because I definitely did not see that coming. Chevy first encounter with Champ was not the best. The second time they met things worked out a little better but eventually went to hell with all the drama surrounding them. Champ was intrigued with Chevy from the very beginning but of course he had a lot in his plate dealing with 3 wives. Adding Chevy to his list of wives to protect her made perfect sense but then all hell breaks loose because two of the wives had a problem with Chevy being added as a fourth wife. Things really took a turn for the worse when Chevy’s supposedly dead ex pops back into the picture and I can’t even imagine what his roll is in this whole situation. Mz Lady P baby you did your one with this book and I can’t wait for part 2 to drop!

This was an interesting read on the poly lifestyle! I don’t know how accurate it is but it was a fun and funny read to me! The main character is Chevy but you get a perspective on just about all of the characters. It starts off with a band and ended with a bang! I gotta read part 2!
Chevy is the 4th wife of Champ. Champ has 3 other wives when he meets her but that doesn’t stop him from falling for her. It’s easy to see why. His first wife was an arranged marriage. His second wife came about because she got pregnant and the third wife seemed to be arranged by the first wife so Chevy is truly the only wife he’s picked in my opinion which makes her special. They met under some extreme circumstances but it must’ve been faith.
Chevy’s mom Corvette had me joked out! She was a piece of work and I was here for it! She gave it to her daughters and their men!
This life definitely isn’t the life for me but Mz Lady P wrote it in a very interesting way and I’ll definitely be reading part 2.

The fourth wife: a polyamorous love story
OMG this book was very juicy . I really enjoyed it, I can't wait to start reading part 2. I love the way that champ loved on all three of his wives differently, until the fourth wife Chevy capri CA came in the picture. imagine to have a man and husband love on you in that way. I hated that jakarri left the kids by theirselves and didn't tell champ. I am ready to start part2 because I want to know what happened to Casanova and chevelle. I want to know what happen with champion, and was Jakarta ever found, they daddy, and did Chevy ever get the explanation from dolls about him lieing about being dead.

Is 4 too much
This was my introduction to the insider view to the polyamorous lifestyle. The circumstances that led to Karri being a wife diminished the title and obscured my opinion on Champ’s judgment. Karri’s snaky moves are consistent and why he needed to be warned about her, just triggered my side eye in his direction. The author built her character as being so smart yet loose lips aren’t a smart move and a demonstrated that any pressure causes her to sing. Her reliance of alcohol caused nauseam. Unfortunately, she did not live up to the pedal she was placed upon, in my opinion. You say you are the only then crumbles whenever arms aren't wrapped you. Trying to sound tough fighting below standard only lowers her to basic chick status.

This book has been good from start to end! I didn’t skim through the pages not once, I’ve been enthralled the entire time! I never liked Karri & I hope she gets the boot!! Champ is definitely my book bae, I love everything about him. I was so sad when Charisma did what she did because why boo? You were his #1 the glue that holds everything together! Brittany is so sweet but she needs to toughen up! My girl chevyyyy I love her I hope she does no wrong! Omg the Clift hanger is insane I wasn’t expecting that

I don’t understand why authors won’t show common courtesy to us readers by letting us know when a book isn’t a standalone book. I personally don’t like waiting months to find out what’s going to happen next and try to read complete series only. I'm really thinking Karri and Sr are messing around, I'm also thinking what if those kids are Sr's??? Now Charisma is in her rights to find something just for her. Cause first of polygamy may seem ideal on some levels but when feelings are involved somebody gonna have a problem sharing. I hate I have to wait on part 2. I usually read only completed series, ain't nobody got time to spend prison time waiting on the next book. But I guess I'll try 5o wait it out.

1st wife - built the family foundation. 2nd wife - was a messy messy hoe and could be trusted. 3rd wife - easygoing and soft spoken. Once the foundation of these relationships was compromised. Champion began to feel the downfall. The ending was such a cliffhanger.

Listen, when I tell you I’m not into sharing my man. I’m not into sharing my man, however the way Champion made me feel reading this book had me wanting to be the fifth wife. His swag and the way he spoke to Chevy, taking care of her and protecting her had me feeling like I wanted to be down. WTF……….the cliff hanger has me mad af………what is going on……. I can’t believe this.

This book came with a warning & I definitely have to agree with the author. You will go through all the emotions. I appreciate all the small things like colored text & different fonts. This book had me locked in from the first page to the last! I am waiting IMPATIENTLY for Book 2 & I will definitely be buying this physically to add to my shelves.

The end of the book took me out!!! The fact that all these beautiful women openly sharing a man was a loop but as a woman we’ve all been there before at one time in our lives. The jealousy, plot twist, the 6 degrees of separation law, the irony. Mz. Lady P does this. I can’t wait for the sequel!!!
