Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

The Aloha anthology is a massive book at 1432 pages. In order to post a review and share with you the important information that this book's royalties will go to organizations working to bring relief to Maui wildfire victims prior to release day, I am only reviewing nine of the novellas included. I can tell by having read these nine novellas that this anthology is well worth the cost. Not only will you be supporting Maui, but you will get some great reads. I plan to read the rest of them as well, so maybe I can share an update on those ones later or add to this review.

The Pre-Proposal by Adriana Locke - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The Proposal is my new favorite Locke book, so I was excited to see a prequel novella for Blakely and Renn. It gave a little peak at their insane chemistry before everything that went down in their book. I loved it! If I hadn't already read The Proposal this novella would have me wanting to.

Riptide by Alessandra Torre - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This was actually a preview of Torre's book Undertow. I haven't read that book yet, so I was intrigued by the snippet. It is a love triangle, which I don't normally do, but Torre is known for her twists. I'm thinking I might need to read the book now because I'm super curious.

Move by Brittainy Cherry - ★ ★ ★ ★
This novella was about a 50-something woman grieving the loss of her adult son and moving on in a place he wanted her to visit. It was good.

Here All Along by Emma Scott - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
I love that Scott wrote this with her daughter's Taylor Swift song prompt in mind. It was a sweet and passionate short romance.

Sweet Celebration by Helena Hunting - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This novella is almost like an epilogue novel for Shattered Truths. It was fun to be back with B.J. and Winter. I loved getting another glimpse into their lives together while celebrating Winter's birthday.

Crazy Little Meet Cute by Jana Aston - ★ ★ ★ ★
This was a fun meet cute that I wanted to go on.

Not Made to Last by Jay McLean - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
I really hope this will be turned into a full-length novel. I want to find out what happens next. There was so much depth to the characters and their story already.

Horny and Healing in Hawaii by Lauren Rowe - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This novella was so much fun! The characters are both taking their honeymoons solo after being cheated on and end up sharing a room. I wouldn't mind if this was expanded to a full-length book. I could read more about them together.

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This was a fun novella about Cam, a side character from the Varsity Dads series. He has been playing online video games for a year with a girl from his college and finally has the chance to meet up with her. I liked how there was already a built history between them and how meeting up only made things even better.

I read the short story Mele Kaliki Make Out with Me by Trilina Pucci

Our favorite fivesome from Tangled in Tinsel is finally back! This time, they're celebrating their second anniversary in Hawaii. Sam, Cole, Alec, Reed, and Jace, I've missed you!

This short story was insanely hot, potentially the hottest thing I ever read. Trilina, you're the smut queen, I hope you know that.

As I said before, it is a short story, but it was more than enough for me to combust completely.

“I'm going to mark your entire body—” Reed whispers with that sexy gravel. “—so everyone knows what a dirty little slut you are. Because who do you belong to, sunshine?” […] “You,” I breathe out. “I belong to all of you.”

Yep. I'm deceased 🥵

Amber Kelly: Changing Tides
This island changed me.

Changing Tides was a beautiful story of finding oneself after your heart is broken.  Avie was dumped the day before their Hawaiian vacation, so she went on the vacation with her best friend Amiya instead.  Of course the setting was breathtaking and I could see it all unfolding before my eyes like I was watching a movie.  While snorkeling she met Sebastian who stole my heart.  Sebastian and Avie clicked and there was no denying the chemistry between them.  I loved their brief time together and how steamy it was.  And there was even a moment that was so sweet *cries*.  Yet those final few sentences, oh my heart!  I will desperately be counting down until Sandcastle Cover Series is released in 2024!
Our night of passion will forever be a beautiful memory of my time here in paradise, but that’s where it needs to stay.
In my memory.

Jana Aston: Crazy Little Meet Cute
Georgina Reeves made me laugh from that first page!  Her thoughts were absolutely hilarious and I felt for her.  She was attending her ex-boyfriend and stepsister’s wedding.  And wellllll, she said she had a plus one yet her boyfriend didn’t exist.  So her attempt at finding Ben was laugh out loud funny.  But OMG Jana I NEED MORE!  This story was adorable, cute and so much fun!  I laughed, smirked and the world around me disappeared.  Can this please be a full length book?!  Please?!  I would love more of these characters!
I eye him. I want to believe I’ve had a change of luck, so very badly. “What’s your name?”
“Ben,” he quips, a playful smirk on his face.
“It’s not,” I reply, snaking my hand into his jacket pocket to nab his lanyard.

He doesn’t stop me.

Lauren Rowe: Horny and Healing in Hawaii
This story started off with a bang!  Julia was supposed to marry the love of her life, but before the wedding she found out he was cheating on her.  And the texts she read out loud?!  Wow lol!  I was cheering her on!  Julia ended up going on her honeymoon alone, yet there was a man in her bungalow.  Since they were double booked, Mateo and Julia decide to make the best of it.  Their time together was steamy and I was so happy that their story ended with a HEA!
“What happens in Hawaii stays in Hawaii?”
“Exactly. A fun distraction to make us forget . . .” I stop speaking, as emotion unexpectedly rises up inside me. I take a deep breath and finish my sentence. “All the lies and deceit. Even if it’s only for one night.”
His chest heaves. He rises from the couch and extends his hand.

I will update my post as I share more reviews from this book ♥.

I’m still working my way through this amazing collection of short stories by over FIFTY best selling authors.

My go to read was Lex Martins short story Maui Dream Girl. This follows Cam from the Varsity Dads series, which I LOVE! And Kelly.
They have been gaming and chatting for about a year but have never met. Cam has decided that he needs to change his playboy ways after seeing his friends settle down and is considering a friends with benefits relationship instead, he still doesn’t want a serious relationship. But will that change after he agrees to finally meet up with Kelly in person?

There are so many more short stories I want to read and some new authors I haven’t read before.

THE MERCER CURSE - ARC REVIEW

The Mercer Curse is a short novella that is part of “Aloha: An Anthology for Maui.“ Pepper gave us the best gift! Our Maître and Esclave are back! 🥰. I don’t want to say much about the novella because I want you to experience it for yourself, but I will say that it was everything I was hoping for. I got to read a fun spicy scene with our maître and esclave, and learn more about an introduction that I have been dying to read about!

“𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘬. 𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴. 𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨.“

This short little novella was everything I needed to get even more excited about Pepper’s upcoming Jewelry Box series. Dare I say I’m feral for it now?

If you liked Monsters in the Dark, or plan to read it, please go preorder this anthology! It’s for a good cause. Proceeds are being donated to help the Maui Food Bank and Maui Fire Relief fund. It’s available to preorder on multiple platforms (Amazon, B&N, Apple, Kobo, and Google Play) today!

Aloha is a huge anthology of over 50 shorts from some of today's hottest romance authors, and the best part of all? All royalties from this collection are being donated to Maui Food Banks and the Maui Fire Relief Fund to help the survivors of the fires that devastated the island.

You will find a little bit of everything within this whopping 1400+ page book. From sweet to sinful, there really is something for everyone. While I'm still working my way through this thick book, so far I've read all of my favorites including Emma Scott, Jay McLean, M. Robinson, and Trilina Pucci, plus I've read some new-to-me authors too. Many of these chapters read like complete short stories while others will leave you desperately wanting more. Some characters may seem familiar and you'll meet plenty of new characters too.

This is a terrific collection to benefit an incredible cause, and I highly recommend that you grab it.

This review is based only on the following:

Love and Freedom - Aly Martinez
This one was very cute. I love how Thea wanted to "know" the moment, while Ramseys was just another day. Yet when it was pointed out, he realized how special life became for them. Nothing holding them back, they can do anything now.

Move - Brittainy Cherry
This one was sad and sweet. You have to wonder about Brad and how much he set things up for him mom. I hope she takes advantage of it all!

Maui Forever - Heidi McLaughlin
Loved seeing all these characters come together to do something big, because one of their own asked for it. They always support each other.

My Dark Tribute - Rachel Van Dyken
This one starts out a bit sad, ends better. A great tribute to someone they all loved.

I’m going to place all the books I did reviews here but I didn’t finish this. DNF!! I read so many that were basically the same book and I couldn’t take the chance of more. It was okay for the most part but towards half way I was ready for this to be over and then more and more I read just about the same story. Couldn’t do it. I’m sorry some of the others I read that were great and in the review below it says that but I did not finish this book because of the others.

Each book I did read has a short review.

One cruel game by k.A. Linde
So this one wasn’t for me and I understand that it all came together at the end but just all the secrets weren’t for me. I loved that ending but that was kind of it. I think if I knew more about the situation then it would be different but I strongly disliked what happen from the beginning.

Beginnings by Aarti V Raman
Loved this one! I’m not sure about all they have gone through but you could feel it in the words. I loved that even though some words I was sure about I could understand their meaning just from the entire chapter. I am pretty swept up with them and can’t wait to go read more from them! This was a great great read even for such a short read!

The Pre-Proposal by Adriana Locke
Oh what a tease!! That was a great sneak peek and one that has me ready to download the book! I could feel the sexual tension and the banter was amazing

Twisted Tighter by Aleatha Romig
Wow! I love this! What they have built and the group of people they work and live with is beautiful. I had no clue where this story was going but my goodness did I feel like I got so much out of those few chapters!

Riptide by Alessandra Torre
Interesting… not really sure how I feel about this one. I really thought it was a cheating story and I’m not about to read that. It was different and I don’t know if I want to continue reading their story or just leave it at the unknown. I’m really curious though to the ending!

Keeping You by Alexandria Bishop
That was amazingly sweet and much more believable. It made me swoon and love these two even more! It was so different from the other one I read and I felt the connection to these two!

Love and Freedom (A Release Short Story) by Aly Martinez
Sweet and needy, powerful and freeing. That’s what all I felt during this read and it felt super light. I loved that I could tell there was a backstory but we got just enough about their history to feel the power that happened in that moment.

Changing Tides by Amber Kelly
I really loved this one! It’s beautifully written and has such a story that would give everyone the feels! I am really curious about everything that would happen after that moment and these characters!

A Mermaid and her Star by Angelina M. Lopez
Well, I’m completely wrapped up in this story! I love that her dreams were coming true and that she kept wanting to pinch herself! I love the mystery and I love their interaction at the end. I have so many questions though and so many hopeful thoughts!! Great story!!

Move by Brittainy Cherry
That was incredibly beautiful! It seemed very intense but also freeing. I would love more of their story and hopefully I’ll find more!

One night in Paradise by Brittany Holland
Oh my goodness I can’t wait for the rest of their story!! It was so hot, intense and mystery. I loved it so much and will definitely be grabbing it up when it releases!!

Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips
Everything a mom could ask for and more! I loved reading this and watching them reconnect. I would love to grab time away from our every day lives and reconnect with my husband! Great story!!

Sweet Stud by Cary Hart
I loved this sweet encounter!! I am so excited to see that we get more and I’m so ready for it! It was cute and sweet but also sexy! I can tell this will be a very sexy and intriguing read!

Golden Ambition by Catalina Snow
I understand what this story was about but I didn’t like it. I understand the things that happen and all that but I felt like this was just pulled from a tv show episode and names changed. This one wasn’t for me.

Pucking Married by Crystal Perkins
Oh my! That was such a fun read!!! I am so desperate for more of this authors work! I loved the sexy moments but there were so many sweet moments too that just had you swoon hard!

Groupie by Dee Lagasse
Not what I was expecting but now I’m so giddy for more!! I loved this short story and I can’t wait until the release!! I felt Wren’s feelings deep and I loved that she got so close to River!

Shooting Stars by Diana Peterfreund
Interesting read! Something different than I expected but very intriguing! I loved the idea!

Rebound by Emma Louise
Oh my goodness! I am very much excited to see this one in a full length book! I felt everything in those short chapters and I need to see what happens!!!

Here All Along by Emma Scott
Beautiful!! I feel like that may be all we get from them but it was amazing and so many swoons!!

A Path for the Lost by Eric R. Asher
So much different from the rest but had so much meaning!! Great short story and I’m intrigued to read others!

Maui Forever by Heidi McLaughlin
Tears, so many tears! I loved this so much!! I don’t think I’ve read from this author so I can’t wait to go read more!!

Sweet Celebrations by Helena Hunting
Swoon!! Massive swoon moments!! I loved this one so much!!!

I Cant Love You by JL Baldwin
LOVED it!! I’m always up for a brothers best friend!!! So good!!

Beach, Please! By Jamie K. Schmidt
Absolutely adored this one but I didn’t like the lying. It came to a very sweet and unexpected end! Can’t wait to check out the rest of that series!

Crazy Little Meet Cute by Jana Aston
Oh gosh I’m obsessed! Georgina is too stinking cute and the whole thing is to funny!! Loved it!!

Not Made to Last by Jay McLean
Well that was interesting and very addictive! I forgot for a moment I was reading this larger book!

Pictures of Hope by Jessica Ashley
Beautiful! So much hope and love. I enjoyed reading this one and can’t wait to read more!

A Match Made in Maui by Jiffy Kate
Oh my gosh that was so cute and hot! I loved River so much and I loved that ending so much!!

Silent Vows by Jill Ramsower
I’m a little sad that I now know an ending of a book, well, several but I still loved it. Very very intriguing and now I need to grab their story!

Shopping for a Billionaire’s Coffee by Julia Kent
Really loved most of it but didn’t like his reaction to the whole thing. I know caveman style is a thing but when it’s something like that I thought it was too much.

Hope and Dreams by Julie Leto
Loved it and has so many good feels!!

Dark Paradise by Karina Halle
Not sure how I feel about this one. It was different and emotional.

The End of Us by Kasey Metzger
Wow. I’m not sure if I’m super annoyed with Courtney or what but man that was rough. I’m not sure if I wanted them to work out or not and I’m still split!! I need more!

Baecation by Kimberly Reese
Cutest thing I’ve ever read and definitely need more on that epilogue!!

All royalties from the collection will be donated to Maui Food Banks and the Maui Fire Relief Fund to help support the survivors of the devastating fires.

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
(as I did not read every novella, this is NOT every trigger!)
death of a loved one, suicidal ideation, depression, infidelity, mentions of murder, cancer, survivor’s guilt, mention of the foster care system

below are my reviews for the [11] novellas I read

One Cruel Game by K.A. Linde
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
connected to Cruel Marriage
7/10 Dirty Birdy
+ D/s

Because of bad weather, she’s stuck in Hawaii for the night. Things start to look up when Mr. Possessive And Demanding invites her to wait out the storm in his hotel room. She’s his for the night. The ending only makes it more fun!
• “Where else will you smear it?”
• “I want that red lipstick like a rim around my cock.”

Move by Brittainy Cherry
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Marie is in Hawaii working on crossing things off her list of adventures. She’s a nervous wreck, completely out of her element. So when she meets Makao, she doesn’t particularly greet him with kindness. Then she figures out his identity. There was no hesitation from him, he was willing and waiting to help her fulfill that list of hers. If this was a full length, I absolutely would cry for the entirety of the book.
• “I knew you were beautiful, but I didn’t know you were this remarkable.”
• “You are the kind of woman I would love to take out to dinner.”

Here All Along by Emma Scott
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
7/10 Dirty Birdy
+ roommates

Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome is also closed off, grouchy, moody, and not to mention her roommate. Mateo avoids Luna the best he can living under the same roof. Which means storming out of the room when she enters, especially after she’s been on a date. But when the roommates get together to have a trivia night, and he only answers questions about her, everything changes. She makes sure of it!
• “Maybe we could be a mess together?”
• “I’ve wanted you since the first f!cking moment I saw you.”

Sweet Celebration by Helena Hunting
⭐️⭐️⭐️
a Lies, Hearts, and Truths novella
7/10 Dirty Birdy
+ college romance
+ found family

This is a perfect read for someone who loves this series! Unfortunately, I’ve never read it. So I had a hard time following along with who was connected to who. But, I definitely enjoyed the bond within this found family!

Crazy Little Meet Cute by Jana Aston
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Georgina is in a little bit of a pickle. Her ex-boyfriend is marrying her stepsister, and the ideal boyfriend she included as her plus one doesn’t actually exist. It’s the morning of the wedding, and she’s still hopeful she’ll find the perfect candidate. Warning, this is just a meet cute. But it’s cute, so I was okay with that.

Shopping for a Billionaire’s Coffee by Julia Kent
⭐️⭐️⭐️
part of the Shopping for a Billionaire series
6/10 Dirty Birdy
+ billionaire

This offered a little inside look into the couple’s past so I didn’t feel so disconnected not having read the rest of the series. But in saying that, the ending fell flat for me because I haven’t read the rest of Shannon and Declan’s story. All Shannon wants to do is surprise her hubby. But Declan doesn’t exactly make that easy!

Dark Paradise by Karina Halle
⭐️⭐️⭐️
previously published as Esteban & features characters from the Dirty Angels Trilogy
+ Mexican Cartel
Lani is in Hawaii for a handful of reasons. She’s running, she’s hiding, she’s looking, she’s finding. And she falls underneath each of those reasons. One look at Estaban, and she recognized his danger, and found it comforting. He’s a mystery. But he becomes her dark knight in shining armor. He’s also nice for such a scary man. While I enjoyed the focus on Estabon helping Lani find the inspiration she’s been seeking for years, it felt unfinished.
• “Sometimes people come into our lives for just a second, just long enough to let us know that hope exists.

El Diablo by M. Robinson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
7/10 Dirty Birdy
No one is good enough for Julian’s baby girl, who he couldn’t accept was growing up. So when his wife helps her enjoy some quality time with a friend on their Hawaiian vacation, Julian sees red. He’s very yummy. Especially when he’s growly, possessive, and demanding.
• “Now get on your knees and show me how sorry you are.”
• “We both know… if I want in, I’m getting in.”

My Dark Tribute by Rachel Van Dyken
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
an Eagle Elite novella
+ Cosa Nostra assassin
I have no connection to this series, but it still hit me HARD in the gut! Sergio is being visited by his demons while vacationing with his family in Hawaii. But his ever present and supportive wife knows exactly how to get him out of that dark place.

Goodbye and Hello by Skye Warren
⭐️⭐️⭐️
honeymoon novella for Rochester Trilogy
7/10 Dirty Birdy
After everything she’s gone through, Jane still struggles with accepting that she deserves happiness, and to be loved. Even on her honeymoon. She’s still in so deep with struggling with her past, and it’s heartbreaking. Beau never falters though. I wish there was a little bit more to this. She was either lost in her thoughts or having sex to have a moment of peace.
• “There's my girl."
• “You'll be so pampered it will feel normal to you. I swear it."
• “Let me show you how much you deserve."
• “I'm yours, sweetheart. Yours irrevocably."

Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me by Trilina Pucci
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
an ‘epilogue’ for Tangled in Tinsel
9/10 Dirty Birdy
+ why choose/Poly

Two years after Tangled in Tinsel ends, the gang is in Hawaii for Christmas. Samantha and her men are even more delicious! (How is that possible?!) Reed is his usual playful and flirty. Alec is still possessive. Cole is wonderfully grumpy as always. And Jace is still Jace.I can’t get enough of them! And we get even more ‘Gimme’s! Wait until you find out what they got Samantha for Christmas. They know exactly how to spread holiday cheer!
• “You keep teasing me, and I’ll make everyone sleep outside the room while I fuck you raw.”
• “All we want is you.”
• “I’ll make the world kneel for you. Always.”
• “I’m going to mark your entire body, so everyone knows what a dirty little slut you are.”
• “Such a good fucking girl for me.”
• “Let them use you, baby, like a good whore.”

When I saw this anthology was to raise funds for the Maui wildfires, I knew I had to read. I've picked a few of my favorite shorts in this amazing anthology to review.

The Pre-Proposal by Adriana Locke
This is a short intro to Adriana's story, The Proposal. It features Blakely and her brother's best friend, Renn. Because it's just a prologue/introduction, it's short but the heat generated by these two is intense! I have The Proposal on my Kindle, and after reading this intro, I'm about to dive into it!

Keeping You by Alexandria Bishop
A seriously hot roleplaying short featuring Tara and her husband Clarke. Whew!

Love and Freedom: A Release Short Story by Aly Martinez
This one is a sweet, slightly melancholic scene between Ramsey and his wife Thea, and what their plans are now that his parole has just finished. If you haven't read Release, do go now!

Move by Brittainy Cherry
I think is my absolute favorite in this anthology. It's a very short story about Marie, a 50 something woman still grieving her son Brad, but has come to Hawaii to learn to surf as an homage to Brad. Meeting her instructor, finding he's not only Brad's close friend, but as beautiful a soul as her son, has her lifting from her fog of grief and determined to "mua" move forward. I'm still crying writing this, but smiling because though this short scene is sad, it's also beautiful, and hopeful at the end.

Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips
Aurora and her husband Nick need a little getaway. So she takes him to paradise for some alone time. HOT, HOT, HOT!

Sweet Celebration by Helena Hunting
BJ wants to throw his girlfriend Winter a birthday party, but has to figure out a way to make it a grand surprise for the girl whose life hasn't been easy, so he gathers up the whole crew to help. If you've read Shattered Truths and fell in love with this adorable couple like I did, you will love this peek into their lives.

Crazy Little Meet Cute by Jana Aston
Georgina needs a plus one to her ex's wedding in Maui. She tries asking the hot Brit who ran into her at the airport, but he's a jerk and having none of it. To her surprise, a gorgeous Lawson offers after hearing her get rejected by Harvey. This little intro REALLY makes me want their full story!

Horny and Healing in Hawaii by Lauren Rowe
Julia just called off her wedding, while delivering her non-vows to her now ex. So she takes her honeymoon by herself and finds a gorgeous man in her villa. Will this vacation fling end in happiness or a broken heart? I want the full story, pretty please!

A Little Tease by Tia Louise
This is a short prequel to A Little Taste, and it made me want to read it all over again. Aiden the grumpy single dad cop and Britt the soon to be forensic photographer, opposites who find themselves very attracted to each other even though they have the worst timing.

ALOHA is a charity romance collection of stories to support the survivors of the devastating fires on Maui. There are fifty stories by an impressive selection of bestselling authors and showcases a variety of romance genres and tropes. It is a huge book consisting of 1432 pages and provides readers with a great selection of novellas to read and many different styles of writing. It also brings together the book community for such a worthwhile cause so please grab a copy before it's too late. So far I have read thirteen stories and chose authors I have read before as well as those new to me. I particularly liked the ones set in the beautiful islands of Hawaii and look forward to finishing the anthology.
I found that the ones that I read could be divided into groups : a complete story, a prequel introducing characters from a book, a bonus epilogue to catch up with favourite characters, a cliffhanger for a series and then a few just ended leaving me cross as I wanted to know what happened next, like the rest of the story was missing . I must admit there was a couple of stories that I couldn't wait to read and they didn't disappoint. I was very excited for The Mercer Curse by Pepper Winters as I am a huge Monsters In The Dark fan. I enjoyed all the ones I read but felt the ones which were complete stories were the best - my favourites were Move by Brittany Cherry and Here All Along by Emma Scott.

One Cruel Game by K.A. Linde:
This is about a passionate one night stand with a mysterious and handsome man. When Katherine's plane is delayed due to a thunderstorm, she finds herself stuck overnight in Hawaii. While sitting in the first class lounge searching for a hotel, an intense but gorgeous man catches her eye. He has a hotel room and offers her it as both stranded. A predictable but fun read and if you liked Katherine and Camden then read how their story started in Cruel Marriage.

Twisted Tighter By Aleatha Romig:
We are introduced to Laurel and Mason, and see how they have settled into married life. They go to their ranch in Montana to celebrate 7th wedding anniversary. They have survived a tragic past especially Mason so do they believe in Miracles as they are about to have one. All the characters from the author's Sparrow Web series are in this but it’s explained who everyone is in this large and supportive group. Their world is dangerous but they are all happy. I loved how all the Sparrow men never leave the tower without telling their wives they love them. If you know this world then there is exciting News for Sterling and Araneae. There was an interesting link to the author's new series the Sinclair Duet.

Riptide By Alessandra Torre:
This is an intriguing tease and sets the scene for her book Undertow. A story about a love triangle between Madison, Stewart and Paul. It starts with a bouquet of roses and a note - Hawaii - September 12th - Come with me! Madison has been with Stewart for years but then she met Paul. She loves them both and they accept the arrangement. One a workalcoholic and one a surfer. There are hints of a past tragic event, locked away memories and secrets being kept. She won't choose between them so can she keep her two lives separate or is she playing with fire? It ends at an interesting point so leaves you hanging - shame as it was just getting to an exciting bit.

Love and Freedom By Aly Martinez:
This short story takes place three years after the end Release and is just a sweet snippet about this couple. Ramsey spent twelve years in prison but is now home with Thea. It starts with her crying with excitement as it’s over - it’s midnight and his parole finally ends. They are both finally free to have the family and future they've always wanted. He’d loved her since a kid and has always wanted to give her the life neither of them had growing up. A sweet story which gives enough insight into the couple with past and present information. To continue in this world read Release as it tells how they met as children and were high school sweethearts until tragedy strikes when he sent to prison. ast and present info .

Changing Tides By Amber Kelly:
Avie Carrigan and her boyfriend Conrad have planned a special vacation to Honolulu but he dumps her the night before they are due to leave. She is heartbroken but determined to still go. The romantic trip becomes a girls getaway with her best friend Amiya. Can Avie have a holiday fling while in paradise to forget Conrad. What does she want in the future and where ? A good story but sad we didn't find out what happens when she got back to Atlanta. It says it is a Sandcastle Cove Short Story so I presume this is a prequel to that series.

Move By Brittany Cherry:
A great story about Marie an older woman in Maui on a holiday booked by her son Bradley. She is about to have a surfing lesson and is totally out of her comfort zone but determined to do something that meant a lot to Bradley. She can't believe the hunk of a man is her instructor but he convinces her she is young enough to start living when feeling too old to try. They chat about her son and she finds out a shocking revelation.Makoa turns out to be more than she ever expected and persuades her it is time to move forward and live !! Absolutely loved this !

Just One Fantasy By Carly Phillips:
A Just One Dare stand-alone short story. Aurora Dare has a planned a surprise romantic long weekend getaway with her husband Nick. A break for them both away from everyday life and the children. We find out about her tragic backstory, how the couple originally met and the fateful day they were reunited. All those years ago it had been love at first sight for him so he's had to make up for the time he lost with her. I adored their daughter Leah and it was interesting meeting some of the characters from The Kingston Family series. This is a sneak peek into their lives and their HEA. Read the start of their second chance story in Just one Dare.

Here All Along By Emma Scott:
A friends to lovers story loosely inspired by Taylor Swift's “You Belong With Me."  Dedicated to the island and its people in memory of Emma's daughter Izzy. Luna is fed up of numerous poor dates and wants to find a loving relationship like her friends Dean and Claudia have. They all live together in an apartment along with Carter, who is fun and outgoing and Mateo, who is a brooding grouch. He is a mystery to Luna especially since he usually leaves the room when she enters and has a parade of women in his bedroom. She thinks he doesn't like him and is confused over her attraction towards him. He has actually wanted her from first moment and fights his feelings for her as doesn't deserve her. Can the roommates find their way to each other and could he be what she has been searching for? A lovely story which made me laugh and swoon, plus we get the bonus of a wonderful little epilogue to seal their HEA.

Maui Forever By Heidi McLaughlin:
This is set in the author's Beaumont Series and Beaumont: Next Gen Series world. Nearly everyone appears or is mentioned, but it is a good story even if you’ve never read any of her books or met all of the characters.  Eden is a surfer but her latest competition has been cancelled due to the fires on Maui. Wanting to help, she and her boyfriend Rush visit her uncle Liam to ask him to hold a benefit concert. This whole group of friends and family join together to make it happen. The links between everyone is explained and I liked the snippets of information about whta is going on in their lives. If you have read these books or seen the film , then you will enjoy catching up with everyone. A good little surprise at the end for one of them.

Dark Paradise By Karina Halle:
This was previously released as Esteban and is linked to her Dirty Angels Trilogy. It is a engrossing and mysterious tale about a woman trying to find some meaning to her life. We meet Lani Morrison, an artist on holiday in Kauai to try and find her inspiration to start painting again but also to escape her life. She is in an unhappy marriage and feels her life holds nothing for her anymore. A stranger with scars on his face appears from nowhere and understands the shadows behind her eyes. He is very intense and has a strange way of being so insightful about her. He has a dangerous vibe about him but is set on helping her. There are some shocking revelations and honest truths as they get to know each other and make memories together to give them both hope for the future. The story draws you in and I got caught up in the mystery surrounding the stranger. Then just as it gets interesting - will they or won’t they- it ends !!!

The Mercer Curse By Pepper Winters:
This is the fantastic prequel to her new series The Jewelry Box and an amazing story for all Tears of Tess fans as we get treated to more of her and Q. He’s still helping rescue slaves and fighting to resist the monster inside him with his wife's help. There's a great sex scene that comprises of everything this couple are.  An unexpected and surprising visitor arrives to see Q claiming to be his half brother. Henri Ward has recently found out he is the son of one of their father's slaves and is struggling with coping the sickness inside him. He has to constantly fight his instincts and knows Q the same so wants some help and the family he's never had. Q comes up with an elaborate but dangerous plan for Henri to prove he's strong enough to stay in the light like Q, survive the curse and not be like their father. In Ruby Tears #1 - Henri starts his tortuous journey to prove he's worthy of Mercer name and never be alone again.

My Dark Tribute By Rachel Van Dyken:

This is a bonus story about Sergio and Val from the author's Eagle Elite series. It provides the much need closure for Sergio ( Elude #7 and Empire #8). “ Life isn’t perfect, but moments are.”  The couple are on a kid free holiday to Hawaii so he can relax , I laughed at him doing as she says as he finds her scary !! He is finding it hard because it's the 10th anniversary of his first wife’s death. The story explains their history and how Valentine met him when he was a broken man. Some of his scars have healed but others still haunt him even though he loves Val deeply, losing Andi still hurts. The entire family join him and Val to honour the fallen, and it's a wonderful tribute to end their mourning.

The Wedding Date By Tara Brown:
A wonderful story about Nicole needing a date to her brother's wedding. Her best friend Linnie gets her a plus one but he is so handsome she wonders if Linnie paid him to attend with her?  She is shocked when she realises he is James Belvedere! A famous European soccer player who was recently voted the Sexist Man Alive and is now fake dating her! Why is he doing this for her? He is such a nice guy and so easy to talk to so what’s going on and why did he agree? When James is so good at pretendin, she starts to fall for him . Their banter is fun and I liked their three things you don’t like talking about - very honest with each other. Her plan was to make her sister and her boyfriend suffer due to what happened six months ago but it's not the only plan in action. There's a fantastic twist to his reasons for helping her out. I so wanted to read the HEA for this couple but left with will they or won't they? Hope they will !!

4.5 Stars! The concept of this book in and of itself is so amazing and heartwarming! All proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards aiding survivors from the recent, devastating fire in Maui.

Yes, there are 50 short stories that make up this 1420 page book! Each one seems to be either a prequel or additional Epilogue for a story that each author has already written. The majority of these authors are new to me. As I was reading, I realized that a few are Epilogues for stories that I know are on my TBR, I felt a bit like I was cheating, kind of like reading the last chapter of a book first, which I hate. So I was mindful of not reading the shorts for book already on my TBR.

The following are reviews for the stories that I have read so far, from Aloha.

One Cruel Game – K.A. Linde
(Epilogue for Cruel Marriage)
K.A. Linde is new to me. Despite not having read Cruel Marriage, I was blown away by this super hot short story! It initially led me to believe that the couple was about to embark on a spicy one night stand. But subtle details gave it away that they knew each other, and as it turns out, are married. It ended up being a bit of role playing for Katherine and Camden Percy, while they were both stranded in Hawaii for a night due to poor weather. It was a great short story and in my mind stands alone well.

Beginnings – Aarti V Raman
(Epilogue for Blaze)
Aarti V Raman is new to me. The story was ok. I felt a bit lost since there were more than a handful of characters involved as well as referred to. This short story does not stand alone very well. I think you really need to have read Burn and Blaze (a duet) before reading this to fully understand what is going on.

The Pre-Proposal – Adriana Locke
(Prequel for The Proposal)
The Proposal was my most favorite Adriana Locke to date. In my opinion, every book she writes is better than the last. So I was excited to read this prequel, and I was not disappointed. We get to see the amazing chemistry between Blakely and Renn, which leads to the crazy antics in The Proposal. I loved this!

Just One Fantasy – Carly Phillips
(Epilogue for Just One Dare)
I have not read Just One Dare, but Carly Phillips is not new to me. I have always loved everything of hers that I have read. That said, I have not read all of her books. Yet. I still have a lot to go! This was one of my cheats. This Epilogue was a really good story, and I did not feel lost, despite not knowing the characters. Aurora and Nick Dare have 2 young children, and Aurora plans a secret getaway for her and her husband. It was heartwarming and great story.

Sweet Celebration – Helena Hunting
(Epilogue for Shattered Truths)
Shattered Truths is a story that really affected my heart. Even weeks later, I still think about Winter and feel emotional. The story hit close to home for me and I cried... a lot, while reading it. This epilogue really made me feel good because BJ plans a day-long special celebration for Winter's birthday. She came from a home where they struggled to put food on the table, so cards and gifts were always home-made and minimal. In Sweet Celebration, we get to see all of their friends and family come together, in addition to a few hockey celebrities. It was a beautiful addition to Shattered Truths.

Shopping for a Billionaire's Coffee – Julia Kent
(Epilogue for Shopping For a Billionaire)
Well, I should have waited a bit before reading this, because this book is on deck for my audiobook TBR. I will be listening later this week! Regardless, it was a really fun short story, and I'm really looking forward to listening to Shopping for a Billionaire.

Maui Dream Girl – Lex Martin
A side story for a minor character (Cam) from Varsity Dads series
Lex Martin is a new to me author. I have to admit, I recently read a book that had a very similar story arc, and I briefly wondered if I had read it before, since one of the characters even had the same name, Cam. That said, it was a cute YA story, and a 'let's get to know each other' and I would guess could end up being the prequel for a really good standalone story between Cam and Kelly.

Overall, I think this Anthology would be a really good read, especially if you are already familiar with this list of authors. The stories that I have read so far were great. I have a lot more books to read if I want to get to the books before reading some of the Epilogues! My TBR just got way longer!

Thank you K.A. Linde and Wildfire Marketing for this ARC. The above is my own and personal opinion.

Honored to be part of the bloggers who promote this worthy charity on behalf of the Maui fire victims! There are fifty stories in this anthology, I read the ones written by my fav authors and a few others. Reviews as follows.

A Dangerous Game - KA Linde

Very delicious, very dirty, with my favorite couple from the Cruel series, Katherine and Camden. A tropical storm causes Katherine’s plane to stay grounded in Maui and a chance encounter with her dark and dangerous husband is in the works. Kinky and sexy, it proves that they are not just a power couple but there’s love, passion and understanding.

Riptide - Alessandra Torre

Intriguing and kinky! Madison has two loves and she shares time with both. They know there’s another man in her life but she keeps both lives separate. One lover is a businessman, the other is a surfer. She shares a home in Venice Beach with the surfer and a condo in LA with the businessman. An ongoing arrangement that has worked for a few years but I got a feeling that things were going to get complicated. And they were about to, when I was surprised with a cliffhanger. A new book for my TBR!

Just One Fantasy - Carly Phillips

Aurora Dare plans a surprise for her husband Nick for the weekend. I loved that we get to see her as a happily married woman, with her daughter Leah at seven years old and baby Ellie.

Maui Forever - Heidi McLaughlin

Liam’s daughter Eden and her boyfriend Rush come up with the idea of a benefit concert to help the victims of the fire in Maui. So we get this author’s beloved rock stars involved in the planning of the concert and donations, with a cute little surprise at the end. Sweet and a wonderful trip back to beloved characters.

Sweet Celebration - Helena Hunting

Winter’s twentieth birthday is approaching and BJ is planning a surprise, with the help of all their friends. It’s sweet and very heartwarming, reading all about the love everyone has for the birthday girl.

Crazy Little Meet Cute - Jana Astor

This one is super short and funny. Gigi is in Hawaii, about to attend the wedding of her ex-boyfriend and stepsister. She made up a boyfriend called Ben who would assist with her but hasn’t found one. She’s at the hotel lobby looking for answers to her prayer.

Not Made to Last - Jay McLean

Olivia was doing her job, delivering pizzas at night, when she accidentally tapped a guy who came out of nowhere, dressed all in black. She offers the guy a ride to the ER, but he was unscathed, only a bruise, and he turned out to be Rhys Garret, famous high school baller, contender to go pro. There are many secrets and a lot of attraction and it ends in a sorta cliffhanger, not nice, because it caught me and I wanted to continue reading until the HEA.

Maui Dream Girl - Lex Martin

Cam has a crush on one of his play friends on video games. He’s never seen her but he likes her personality. They start talking about taking their friendship further than online, and they are up for a surprise when they find out who the other one is. It’s sweet and steamy, and both Cam and Kelly are great characters.

Goodbye and Hello - Skye Warren

A little bonus chapter on Jane’s and Beau’s honeymoon. Breaking with tradition, they travel to Hawaii with Emily, Mateo and Paige. Emily and Mateo are on their honeymoon too, so this is like a double date honeymoon. Jane has problems accepting the great life she’s living now, afraid it will all go away. Beau strives to reassure her. Steamy and heartfelt, we see a Beau who is so very much in love with his wife, a Mateo who jokes, young Paige who continues to be a shark at games.

The Wedding Date - Tara Brown

I loved this one! Nicole needed a date for her brother’s wedding in Hawaii. Her best friend Linnie arranged for her boyfriend’s best friend to join her. And he turned out to be James Belvedere, best soccer player in the European union and voted “Sexiest Man Alive”. It was a perfect move for her broken self-esteem, since her little sister had stolen her fiancee and they would be present in the wedding. Lots of interaction between family members, fun!

It was delightful because James was a perfect date and acted besotted. Nicole spent the weekend mostly dazed and bewildered. Then they played three truths about themselves and had a nice surprise each. Lovely! I wanted more!

4.25 ⭐️

The following reviews are for Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin, Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips, Second Chance Contract by M. Robinson and Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me by Trilina Pucci.

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin

5 ⭐️

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin is a short novella that follows Cameron ‘Cam’ Fletcher, who has appeared in Varsity Dad series.

In this short read, we get to see Cam have the opportunity to meet up with his online gamer friend Ninja Girl, who he has been playing video games with for a year.
And what the results of that outcome is when they finally do meet in person.

The execution of the storyline was done greatly, allowing for a plot that gave you enough to include a beginning, middle and end with the inclusion of sufficient detail, so that it didn’t feel lacking in anyway. Even with being a novella.

There is just something about Lex and her writing that always pulls me in and leaves me wanting more by the end.
And just like all of the other books from Lex Martin’s Varsity Dad series, it was no surprise that Maui Dream Girl too ended up being a 5 star read for me.
Even with being a fast read, it was thoroughly entertaining, resulting in an enjoyable read that was fun, sweet, cute and adorable yet steamy too.

Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips

4 ⭐️

Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips was a short novella that had us visiting Aurora and Nick Dare awhile after their full length story Just One Dare.

With more than a few years having past, we see Aurora and Nick living busy lives, juggling their work and family consisting of two daughters.
Wanting a much needed break, Carly had us following Aurora and Nick as they go on a mini vacation.

Being a quick read, Carly hit the mark in not only giving insight into their lives given the update since Just One Dare ended. But also allowing us to see how they were doing during this time.
The novella ended up making for a fun short that was cute, sweet, romantic and steamy of course.

Second Chance Contract by M. Robinson

4 ⭐️

Second Chance Contract by M. Robinson had us revisiting Autumn and Julian Locke many years after their full length novel with the same title was set, in this one chapter short novella.

In this short we see what happens when overprotective Daddy Julian has to teach Autumn a lesson for going behind his back and lying to him for a certain reason that we see unfold and play out before our eyes within the chapter.

Honestly for writing such a fast read, Monica managed to bring the entertainment factor with being funny and having you LOL’ing.
All the whilst adding Fire from the steaminess that Monica managed to include, ultimately making for an enjoyable read. Especially since it’s always fun to revisit old characters and see what they’re up to.

Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me by Trilina Pucci

4 ⭐️

Trilina Pucci had us revisiting the characters from Tangled in Tinsel, by following Sam and her guys Alec, Reed, Cole and Jace whilst on vacation in Hawaii in this short that was Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me.

This novella went from 1-100 in the snap of fingers.
Starting off fun with being cute and sweet in seeing Sam and her guys share flirty banter.
The next thing you know Trilina flipped the script and dove right in, bringing the debauchery party with the characters raising the temperatures in what turned out to be a super Spicy, majorly Fiery and Sizzling AF, Lustful and Raunchy Sexy time they shared with getting down and dirty.

Despite it being a very short read, Trilina Pucci made it enjoyable. Especially since it had me revisiting these loveable characters of Sam and her guys Alec, Reed, Cole and Jace again.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Perfect little collection of short stories & novellas

Aloha is a charity anthology with a great cause! It’s a collection of short stories & novellas from several romance authors to benefit the relief efforts in Maui. I am so happy to be a part of this cause by contributing in purchase & reviews.

Reviews for a few of the stories inside:

The Pre-Proposal: Adriana Locke
This was a great setup for The Proposal. The bangxiety between Blakely & Ren is going to be epic!

Sweet Celebration: Helena Hunting
I loved this extension of BJ & Winter’s story.
Winter deserves everything good, & BJ is determined to give her the world. This secret planning of her 20th birthday party was absolutely perfect & showed her that her chosen family was more than she could’ve ever wished for.

Crazy Little Meet Cute: Jana Aston
When your step sister is getting married to you ex-boyfriend…what do you do? You make up a fake boyfriend, of course. But it usually helps to have a human being in tow. Queue the stranger in the hotel lobby. This meet cute was so adorable.

A Match Made In Maui: Jiffy Kate
This novella definitely leaves me wanting more. The instant connection between Shelbi & River was palpable. I love it when a solo trip to find yourself turns into so much more.

Baecation: Kimberly Reese
Not gonna lie, I was SUPER excited about this submission.
Theo & Addy are that couple who sticks with you. They stole my heart in their book, Nerdgasm, & I was so excited to get to spend more time with them.
Their little spring break getaway to Hawaii was so perfect & nerdtastic for them. They are definitely adorkable together. Kimberly literally had me in tears (the happy kind) at one point. The absolute perfectness of that scene…*le sigh*.
And she sets up her next novel, Wrecktangle perfectly, I can’t wait for Cohen’s life to be wrecked! Because it’s going to be the type of wreck I can’t look away from!

Call Me Sweetheart: Maria Luis
Yaaay for Jordan’s story! That man is the biggest goofball, & it didn’t surprise me at all that his & Kinsley’s meet cute was so off the wall.
I literally snort laughed within the first few minutes reading & kept on chuckling.
I loved this little short giving Jordan his HEA. Kinsley is rather quirky, but she’s absolutely perfect for him. I love the way that she feels deeply & she cares with every fiber of her being. I love that they live in the same town, yet have a whole relationship not face to face. It just made their meeting that much more potent & special.

My Dark Tribute: Rachel Van Dyken
Oh my gosh!! That tribute right there…that was a piece of the Eagle Elite world that I didn’t know I needed in my life. It was so sweet, so pure, and so perfect for this entire Cosa Nostra to pay tribute. How can such a short snippet of their lives bring tears to my eyes. Two Twirls…always!

A Little Tease: Tia Louise
This was definitely a little tease into the world of Aiden Stone. It’s a great teaser that makes you want ti devour the book.

Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me: Trilina Pucci
This was a hot little getaway for the fabulous five from Tangled in Tinsel. And as usual, Trilina did not disappoint in delivering the heat.

Aloha is a charity romance collection of short stories from numerous authors.
The royalties will be donated to help support the victims of wildfires that devastated West Maui.

Cruel Game by KA Linde
A storm causes an emergency landing and the passengers have an overnight stay in Hawaiʻi. Two passengers end up spending the night together.

This was an entire story full of spice! That’s pretty much all there was to it.

The Pre-Proposal by Adriana Locke
This is a little prequel to The Proposal. It features Blakely and Renn before the events of The Proposal. Even though it was short, the chemistry between Renn and Blakely was undeniable! I have already read and listened to The Proposal, so I definitely recommend it.

Pucking Married by Crystal Perkins
Crystal Perkins is a new to me author, so I want sure what to expect, but the dedication for her story was heartwarming

Lauren is in Vegas for family obligations. Axel is a hockey player from Sweden. He’s in the AHL, but he’s in Vegas for team bonding. After a night of drinking, they wake up married.

They decide to go to Hawaiʻi for their honeymoon. Now, I really think the author did an excellent job with naming local spots in Maui. She even had the characters go to a restaurant and named some dishes from that restaurant.

The spice was great, and the story was entertaining.

Sweet Celebration by Helena Hunting
This was a short story about BJ and Winter as well as their friends. It is kind of a little epilogue to Shattered Truths.

BJ is planning a birthday celebration for Winter, but he’s trying to keep it a surprise. He can’t lie to her though, so it’s hard for him.

I enjoyed Shattered Truths, so I was happy to have this little story of BJ and Winter.

Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me by Trilina Pucci
And cue:
Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun to shine by day, and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaiʻi’s way to say merry Christmas to you

First, I want to say that this title immediately made the song start playing in my head. Anyway, moving on. This story is about the characters from Tangled in Tinsel (Samantha, Jace, Reed, Alec, and Cole). They are celebrating their second anniversary in Hawaiʻi (Kaua`i).

All I can say is, this story is HOT. Sure, it’s short. But it’s all spice.

Overall:
This collection of short stories was great. There are many more authors who contributed stories, and this is for a good cause.

This is a fantastic anthology for an even more amazing cause. The folks in Maui are going to need help for a long time and every little bit donated helps! Plus you get an amazing book with stories by 50 incredible authors!!

Some of these stories were really light on the Hawaii connection but I thoroughly enjoyed the ones set in the islands. I loved the ones that gave you a good short story feel with a happy ever after or an at least for now. Some stories were just quick introductions to characters, lasting only and extended chapter. While others had a well rounded feel as you actually got to know the characters a bit. Some of these authors are new to me and I enjoyed reading new writing styles. Some were past favorites with known characters.

I think my favorite, though short and sweet, was Move by Brittany Cherry. It was deeply emotional and moved me to tears. I loved the instant connection between Marie and Makoa. I also loved that they were older characters who had experienced life and needed to find a new way forward.

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin
Cam and Kelly were too cute together! This was an adorable little meet cute between two gamers who've known each other online for a year but have never met. A little flirty banter and sparks fly. Cam was so sweet and caring. Kelly was more outgoing than she first seemed and I liked her confidence. This story had me smiling and I really enjoyed it!

Beach, Please! by Jamie Schmidt
I really enjoyed this story about Nakoa and Kailani. It was very emotional in the beginning going though the fire but I loved how it showed the community coming together afterwards. It really showed the Hawaiian spirit. I also loved all the little nuances of Hawaii mixed in. I really liked the connection between Nakoa and Kailani. This short story packed quite an emotional punch.

One Night in Paradise by Brittany Holland
This was a great meet cute story of Carter and Camilla. Carter was a smug, arrogant, yet sexy guy that Camilla meets at a wedding. Sparks fly between them and we get a promise of more to come after they spend one amazing night together. I really liked both Carter and Camilla and I look forward to finding out more about them in the future.

This anthology is not to be missed! It's a wonderful collection of stories with a wide range of characters and settings. There is something for everyone to enjoy! I loved it and would highly recommend it! Please support the relief efforts in Maui!!!

This was a fun not-so-little anthology for a great cause! That is reason enough to grab this book. I received a copy in exchange of an honest review. There were a LOT of stories to get through. Like many anthologies, there are always some stories that are better than others. I love getting to read a known, but previously unread author for the first time in this manner because it's easier than committing to an entire book, especially with the state of most of our TBRs... LOL

I give this anthology 4 stars, there were some great little stories in here, I did not finish them all, partially just because there wasn't enough time to do so. I will update my review if anything especially stands out that might change my overall rating. I have had anthologies where every story or all but one is a winner, but that is not common. Some it just might take awhile to get into, and it's especially difficult when you're a mood reader. If it's an anthology of all a specific genre mood might be less of a factor (presumably you're in the mood for what you've been reading. But here, there were stories giving a different vibe than the one that came before it. All of these stories involve Hawaii in some way (be it a Hawaii-themed party or people on vacation there or it's a part of the fantasy for the night) but that is the one common thread. If I were to make some suggestions they would be- choose the order based on what might be a better transition even if it's a change of pace (like how song order is chosen on an album) and I always enjoy it when there is some sort of blurb for each story within the anthology. An anthology is nice because if you don't want to read cover to cover you can select which one you want next, here the only thing you have to go on is the author and the title. If you only have limited time (or are just in a mood where you want to read something from it's beginning to it's resolution) and so you sit down to read a short story you don't want to get too far into it to decide if you would rather read another one.

All in all, I think this is a great anthology that has been put together for an important cause. There is something for everyone, and it's definitely got some winners that I will read again in the future (or follow-up with the series the author wrote that it's connected to) and ones that I might give another chance when the mood strikes me.

ALOHA is a charity romance of never-before-seen short stories from over 50 authors, all with a twist of Hawaii. I’ve said it before that I believe Anthologies are the perfect way to read some new material from your favorite authors while at the same time getting to sample the style of new to you authors all while helping out a great cause. There are too many stories to review, but I wanted to highlight one of the first authors I decided to read. The first short I read was Twisted Tighter by Aleatha Romig:
For those who have read the Tangled Web trilogy we get an extended epilogue of Laurel and Mason, and see how they have settled into married life. Don’t worry if you haven’t read their full story this is definitely written as a standalone with enough back story for you to understand everything. They visit their ranch in Montana to celebrate their wedding anniversary. It is a time for miracles and things happen that they never thought possible. We get introduced to many characters from the Sparrow Web series which will definitely lead you to wanting to read more about their stories….and I for one loved them all. As any good author would there are a few teases and about upcoming works and I will definitely be anxious to read them.
AUTHORS INCLUDE: K.A. Linde, Adriana Locke, Alessandra Torre, Rachel Van Dyken, Willow Winters, Brittainy Cherry, Aleatha Romig, Heidi McLaughlin, Crystal Perkins, Helena Hunting, Jessica Ashley, L.B. Dunbar, Ren Alexander, Skye Warren, Tara Brown, Tia Louise, Diana Peterfreund, Jamie K. Schmidt, Alexandria Bishop, Maria Luis, Kasey Metzger, Julia Kent, Karina Halle, Trilina Pucci, Carly Phillips, Aarti V Raman, Jill Ramsower, Amber Kelly, Eric R. Asher, Julie Leto, Lucy Eden, Kimberly Reese, Kayti McGee, Lauren Rowe, Pepper Winters, M. Robinson, J.L. Baldwin, Brittany Holland, Angelina M. Lopez, Jiffy Kate, Lex Martin, MJ Fields, Emma Louise, Catalina Snow, Dee Lagasse, Cary Hart, Aly Martinez, Liv Morris, Jay McLean, Jana Aston, Emma Scott
All royalties from this project will be donated to organizations working in Maui to bring relief to the victims of the Maui fires. We aren't affiliated or endorsed by these charities. We are authors who are helping the best way that we can.

The Aloha Anthology is a large collection (1432 pages) of romance short stories by 50 talented authors coming together to benefit Maui Food Banks and the Maui Fire Relief Fund. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I obviously can’t review all 50 stories by Release Day, but here are a few, and I’ll try to add more when I have time. These have been great stories, making this Anthology a steal!! One-click this book and help the people of Maui!! You’ll be treating yourself to hours of entertainment!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One Cruel Game by K.A. Linde — A delayed flight leads to a hot hookup with a twist!

The Pre-Proposal by Adriana Locke — Wow! What a fun little sampling of the sparks and banter between Blakely and Renn!! I’m so glad I have The Proposal in my Audible library ready for a break in my ARC schedule! I can’t wait!!😍

Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips — It was so great to catch up with Aurora and Nick Dare in this sweet and sexy snippet!!

Maui Forever by Heidi McLaughlin — I’m always ready to return to the world of the Beaumont series, and this short story truly touched my heart!! I was in tears! Words cannot express how much I love these characters! Beautifully done!!❤️❤️

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin — I totally fell in love with Cam, who was a side character in the Varsity Dads series!! If I could find a gaming partner like him, I might take up the hobby!🥵🥵 Kelani was a great character as well— fun and relatable, and not afraid to say what she wants when it matters! I want more!!

Ice Surfing by MJ Fields — I loved Koa and Nalani’s story! It was sweet, hot, and funny, all in such a short story! I definitely want more of them!!

A Little Tease by Tia Louise — What perfect title for this little nugget!!😂 It gives you just enough to make you hurry to read A Little Taste, if you haven’t already! For me, it was fun to see this earlier perspective of them!! I just love those quirky small town vibes!!

This is a collection of all brand new short stories by a host of authors who all joined forces to support the tragedy in Hawaii. Each story either takes place on the island, has a memento, a memory, or any number of ways that connect the characters to this special place.

Here are just a few of the stories to give you a taste of what's inside:

Helena Hunting gave us a short story from her recent Lies, Hearts, and Truths series: The gang all comes together to celebrate Winter's birthday and I had tears in my eyes by the end of this one. Lots of snort-laughing too along the way because it's BJ and his mouth says the most ridiculous things, but I loved this catch up with the entire gang.

Lex Martin has a steamy short story from her Varsity Dads series: Cameron has been a secondary character for a couple of books now and he's probably best known for his player ways. However, watching all of his friends begin to settle down has him thinking, should he make a move on the one girl who probably doesn't know him for past. This short story is extra steamy and very cute all at the same time. It fits so well into this series I totally wished it was longer.

Trilina Puccini contributed an extra spicy story from her Tangled in Tinsel book: This was definitely the spiciest of the short stories I read. 🔥🌶🔥🌶 This short returns the original five characters from Tangled in Tinsel and they are on vacation in paradise. It's steamy, it's full of debauchery, and it's absolutely perfect for these five. What an awesome vacation!!

There are fifty authors in this anthology and I've barely skimmed the surface of who is inside. There is something for everyone, every heat level, every trope, and every story is an absolute joy to read. Don't miss it!!

I loved every second of this read! I found a ton of new authors to look at because of their stories! Some of the stories are bonus epilogues to previously written works. Some are prequels. And some are just plain old fun standalones! You WILL find something to love in this book! The best part? 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗶 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀!

ARC Review
🌺Aloha🌺
A Charitable Anthology in support of Maui

51 of our favorite authors gave short stories, novellas or epilogues to this amazing anthology.

for example:
My Dark Tribute - Rachel Van Dyken
Maui Dream Girl - Lex Martin
A little Tease - Tia Louise
Not made to last - Jay McLean

My Dark Tribute is a short novel about Sergio from the ELITE series. Wel learn that Sergio hasn’t fully found a conclusion to his first wife’s death. While vacationing in Hawaii his current wife Val arranges something so unique and beautiful to help him and get him out of his deep and dark thoughts of himself and pain. Loved but not forgotten. A deep heartbreaking insight in Sergio’s torn mind.

Maui Dream Girl is Cam’s story who we know from the Varsity Dads series. After a bad incident that influences his life he decides that he is done with his love life the way it was. And having a crush on his female online-gaming partner makes him even more determined. Kelly wants to know Cameron, her online-gaming partner.. But casual isn’t her style. Will Cameron give her more when he finally meets her? And will Kelly want him when she knows everything about him? Sweet, short and on point. Fantastic Novel.

A little Tease is a short introduction into the story about Aiden Stone and Britt Bailey. At her Fare Well party Aiden comes close to her for the first time, but with him being the sheriff and her coming from a very difficult family it is clear this story will be an interesting one. Makes you want to read the whole story.

Not made to last shows us a few very interesting chapters of the story from Rhys and Olivia. After meeting by accident and only knowing through others, their story seems to be an intense one. Olivia spends her time with him involuntarily and through guilt and Rhys takes her as an excuse not to be alone. But both have packages to care about and stories to tell that definitely are going to be heartbreaking.
