Wow, I just love the fun close-knit families that Deborah Bladon writes. This is the fourth book in the Morgan’s of New York series and another huge favorite of mine. This is Dr. Gaines Morgan and Eloise Rehn’s story. Gaines is a greatly renowned Cardiologist and a workaholic who doesn’t date. Eloise is a talented clothing designer still in school. Two years ago, they had a steamy encounter at a private club that requires wearing masks to hide your identity. Neither gave their real names that evening, but when their cousins get married, Gaines figures out that his sexy mystery woman is extremely close to his inner circle. He can’t stop thinking about Eloise but vows to keep her off-limits. However, that becomes increasingly more difficult with their close families and unforeseen events that happen. This is a fun, steamy read with a few twists and surprises.

This was more like 2.5 ⭐️ that tilts towards 3. I liked the chemistry between Eloise and Gaines. And the overall storyline was good. But…I’m not a fan of age gaps (13 years here) as it would be weird, creepy for a man in his mid 30s to be with a woman still in college. I do appreciate that this story doesn’t spend too much time highlighting the creepiness of the gap. The storyline is going for six degrees of separation but it’s a really improbable storyline (which is a funny thing to say since pretty much all romance storylines are improbable). There’s also not enough depth and character development. I didn’t like the “angst” at the end of the book. All it really was was Gaines not saying a damn thing and shutting Eloise out.

How do you rate a book where you loved the plot, the main characters and the outstanding writing, but hated that the precocious little Stevie was again front and centre of every adult gathering? Enough already! But then, I'm probably the only reader that can't stand her.

Okay but much too long
I skimmed the second half of this book because I was growing bored. Eloise and Gaines story had it moments, but was too long and slow moving for my taste. Too much repetitive dialogue with the characters in this book that didn’t necessarily add to the storyline. Pen’s character was annoying and got too much attention in this book. The insta best friend scenario as well as the insta/love with Dax seemed like something from high school.
I loved Stevie and Saylor who were actual children in this book and acted like kids while some of the adults seemed childish at times.
I never quite figured out what brought Eloise to the sex club but found her character immature at times on how she described giving Gaines oral sex etc., and his description of her as being “the best sex he had ever had” blah blah blah.
The connection between Dax and Eloise was a surprise, but made sense. There were several red flags in this book pointing to a health issue for Eloise that she blew off, once again acting very immature.
Gaine’s character was fine even with his own baggage from the past that he needed to sort out. I got very tired of hearing that his character saved so many lives. He was a cardiologist and a surgeon. Isn't that what heart surgeons do.....save lives?
Overall the book was okay, but could have been better.

Doctor Help!
The Morgan’s, Gaines and Eloise met in a unusual way, but had a profound lasting memory to not be forgotten. Eloise not yet 21, used a fake ID to access a club, not just any club a sex club. You attend you have to wear a mask. Gaines also went to this club. They had an encounter with each other Eloise ran off never to see each other for 2 years. Her cousin Astrid married his cousin Berk. Gaines goes to pick up his food from Atlas22 and Eloise was there having dinner with her boyfriend, when a man went into cardiac arrest. Dr Gaines Morgan had to save his life. They started secretly seeing other. More to story only a few spoilers still so many more. Great read. I loved the story.

Another winner for Ms. Bladon! What a story. This is the next Morgan family book, with Dr. Gaines Morgan and Eloise Rehn. Their attraction is just sizzling and they combust when near each other. This story will draw you in from the first few pages and keep you enthralled to not want to put this down. I love the characters from the previous books being part of the story as this lets you see how their lives have progressed. If you read Ms. Bladon’s books, you will fall in love with the characters and want to follow their lives as if they are good friends. I never pass up one of her stories, they are wonderful reads. Highly recommend.

Eloise had an encounter with Gaines that left them both remembering it as the best encounter they ever had. But they were wearing masks and didn’t know who each other was. Fast forward a couple of years and he is one of the most successful doctors around and she is a budding fashion designer. He figures out who she was long before she did. They wind up in the same restaurant when a man has a cardiac episode. Eloise ends up going to the hospital with Penny, the date of the man who collapsed. As time goes on Gaines wants Eloise but he is committed to his career. Together can they find a way? This book has a lot of “feels”. I’d highly recommend reading it.

Dr Gaines Morgan is a busy cardiologist and no time for a serious relationship
He’s a member to a gentleman club there he meets his match but she leaves before he could stake his claim
Years later he sees her at his cousin wedding but he leaves this time deciding it wasn’t the right time
Fate brings them together again and this time Dr Morgan is cautious but all consuming and they deliver lots heat
Ms Bladon has the best h/h names and a nice twist to her stories
If this book had a theme I would say friendship & family newfound ones, past ones, and unexpected ones they all come together nicely in this read

When her health is in jeopardy, Gaines realizes he really does love her. A secret comes to light and love wins out.
Once again Deborah had given us a beautiful love story that I couldn't put down.

Another amazing story in this interconnected world of New York, where everybody appears to be connected by six degrees of separation. Here we meet Dr Gaines Morgan, who may at first appear a little conceited, but once you get to know him, he is all heart.. literally! A wonderful man, who is trying to save world, one heart at a time. Eloise is almost a decade younger and yet, this does not stop the attraction they both feel. I absolutely loved their story and all the secondary characters, I could not put it down. I was fortunate enough to recieve an arc and this is my honest review.

WOW ! This story blew me away!! Dr. Morgan a cardiologist works in a hospital and he was at a restaurant picking up his dinner, we was on call that night. He saved a life that night. He ran in to a beautiful women from his past that he has been looking for the past two years. Eloise met the fotos a couple of years ago. Never got over him either. That's just the beginning of this story. This story was wild and crazy with everything that you'll fine in a good story. ENJOY!!

oh Gaines
I can’t even with this book. It filled me with so much emotion between all the hot and dirty. It was perfection, as all of Deborah’s books are, and it hit the spot just right.
I love Gaines and his lamb soooo much!!! You never know what twist and turns there are waiting for you, but by the end of the book you get so wrapped up in this love story that you don’t want to part with it.

A wonderful and inspiring story! Gaines doesn’t think he can give his heart to another, only wants to save lives. Eloise is educated in design, still going to school, learning design in different aspects. These two met briefly 2 yrs previously, and now they recognize each other. Their attraction is mutual and they both have intense feelings.Their relationship is one for the ages, true love, beautiful love ❤️.

Sometimes you’re meant to be in a place at the right time and the right moment, this book is a true example of that. Two years passed since Dr. Morgan and Eloise have truly seen each other but when it finally clicks for Eloise where she knows him from, there is no turning back. And as they say the rest is history. I loved getting to know these characters and the ending was quite the surprise. Definite a five star recommend from me.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. The first half made me uncomfortable, there were characters I didn't like, including Gaines, but as I came to understand him better, I began to forgive him and since I cried happy tears at the end, I'm prepared to forgive and amend what I thought would be a 3 star review up to 4

Another amazing book by Deborah Bladon.
Love how Gaines and Eloise first met at a club of sin amazing. There is so much emotion great sex love and a relationship in the works!
Love how the family interacts with each other love Stevie and Saylor so sweet.
There is drama that leads to a very emotional and beautiful ending!

I loved this entertaining and engaging romance storyline. The MCs are defined, engaging, have amazing chemistry, and have an anonymous one-night stand. Later they reunite and discover an age difference that prevents them from moving forward but they will wait. This is a story of love, well-written, and beautifully crafted. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Amazing!!
Another fantastic story in this series. This author killed it with this book. I loved Gaines and Eloise's love story, it was so heartfelt. I loved also getting to read more about the other characters in previous stories. This story definitely made me swoon. Loved it and highly recommend it.

I found this story and the characters in it to be simple and silly. Overly cutesy kids. Bland, annoying adults. Several ancillary stories that magically all come together to make it all right. Sappy angst. I found myself skipping much of the overwrought, yet dull, writing.

Gaines & Eloise story was good, but it wasn’t my favorite. I enjoyed the cameos from the rest of the Morgans. I loved Gaines & Berks relationship. I love good smut but it felt more like he was lusting for her and became obsessed, I don’t know but something didn’t click for me. 3.5 stars
