The rescue was just the beginning of their hardest battle.

Returning to the Rossi family after an 8-year time jump was everything I wanted and more. Seeing Kiara and Alejandro as parents to Dante, Katalaya, and Skyla made me feel so connected to them, but my heart broke for what they had to endure in this installment.

The Plot

The nightmare begins when their daughter, Katalaya, is kidnapped while playing outside. Kiara and Alejandro go into full "power couple" mode to get her back, and while the rescue is successful, the price is devastating. During the mission, Kiara is knocked out and infected by a Djinn.

Instead of coming home to celebrate their daughter's safety, the family has to face a new horror: Kiara is losing her memory day by day. Watching Alejandro fight to bring her memories back and win her heart all over again—while they are both still processing the trauma of the kidnapping—was incredibly moving.

What I Loved:

The Emotional "Gut-Punch": Having the memory wipe happen after they rescue their daughter was such a powerful writing choice. It shifted the story from an action-packed thriller to a deeply emotional romance about the endurance of love.

Alejandro’s Strength: He had to be the rock for his children and his wife at the same time. Seeing him try to make Kiara fall in love with him again while she was losing herself was beautiful and sad.

The Rossi Kids: Dante, Katalaya, and Skyla added so much stakes to the story. You really see how much Kiara and Alejandro have built together.

The "Fighting for Each Other" Theme: This series is at its best when the characters are pushed to their limits, and seeing them comfort each other through these back-to-back traumas was peak Moonlight Muse.

My Honest Thoughts:

Second-Chance Vibes: Even though they are already married, this felt like a "second-chance" romance because Alejandro had to earn her trust and love all over again.

Family Dynamic: I love that this series doesn't just end at the wedding; it shows the reality of a family fighting to stay together through supernatural threats.

The Tropes:

🐺 Established Couple / 8-Year Gap
⚔️ High-Stakes Rescue Mission
🧠 Post-Rescue Memory Loss (Djinn Infection)
❤️‍🩹 "Make Her Love Me Again"
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fierce Parental Love

Final Thoughts: This was a perfect return to my favorite couple. It’s a story about the fact that love isn't just a memory—it’s something you fight for every single day.

By the time we reach this apex installment, Alejandro Rossi is firmly established as the badass Lycan King: ruling with justice, living peacefully with his mate Kiara and their kids, and having seemingly conquered the darkness from previous books. But peace is always just the calm before the storm in Moonlight Muse’s world—and oh boy, does the storm hit hard here.
Early on, the rug is yanked from under your feet when Alejandro fails to protect their youngest child. It’s not just plot drama—it’s gut-punch emotional devastation that rattles both him and Kiara to the core. Suddenly, their life of balance and harmony shatters, and the book shifts tone hard into protective-paranoia meets relational healing. Kiara’s world is lit on fire—and rather than crumble, she finds strength in her pain, leaning on Alejandro but growing fiercer.
Meanwhile, Alejandro is caught between regret, rage, and desperate love. There are tactical pack battles, shadowy villains, and one final push toward unity and redemption. It’s equal parts suspense and saga as Alejandro must rally every thread of his kingdom and mate-bond to rescue his queen and make things right.
The writing here sparkles with raw stakes and emotional truth—just when you think you’re safe with a domestic scene, Muse plunges you into darkness again.
What really shines in this finale is the transformation of Alejandro and Kiara’s relationship. The series-long romance matures here: it's less about taboos or fated magic and more about the real work of love—trusting each other, healing wounds together, facing terrifying odds, and coming out the other side of despair as a unit. There’s family tension, the politics of pack unity, and the emotional weight of a king and queen who refuse to surrender.
The pacing is tight, the stakes high, and the emotional gut-punches are earned. If you’ve been invested in this pack, this heart, or this romance, King Alejandro is the powerful capstone you’ve been waiting for: full of intensity, resolution, and love that can truly save the world.

This was such a nice end to the series. I started reading from the second book with Al and Kia, and it felt like a bittersweet ending with them.

My favourite of all is probably El and Red. There was just something about their love for one another and their willingness to defy even fate to be together. Seeing how their decision played out and how their love remained even after all those years made their story even more beautiful. I especially loved seeing their reactions to each of their kids' ordeals and how they never wavered.

I'll never forgive the loss of Papa Raf 💔 that man had my heart, and we had too little time with him. I honestly would love a novella of his time with Marie.

It was obvious some of the pairings the author was making for future books. In a way, I loved that we could already tell who would be whose mate. I'm looking forward to Kat's and Dante's books the most, to be honest.

One thing I don't like when it comes to werewolf lore in modern writing is the incessant need some writers have to include LGBTQ characters. I get the whole idea behind it, and I'm not saying I'm against it per se, you can have them be Vampires, or Witches, or whatever other species you want them to be, but just not wolves. It's kinda lazy and it lets me know the author did not actually pay attention to the lore they were diving into, or just don't really understand it. I was relieved when the whole situation with Liam, Raven, and Damon ended the way it did (the multiple mates being because of the curse) because having multiple mates at the same time was also not something in the nature of wolves and would also be against the lore we are drawing from. (Again, not against it in general, just when it comes to werewolves.)
I did like the characters and the pairings the author made, but I would have loved it if they remained more truthful to the lore they used to base a whole series on.

All in all, the author did good and I enjoyed the books. Don't know if I'll read all the upcoming works for all of the next generation, though.

King Alejandro and his entire cast have completely won me over. While Her Cold-Hearted Alpha wasn’t my personal favorite of the series (mostly due to my own sensitivities around certain relationship dynamics) I’m really glad I pushed through. Scarlett and Elijah in book 1 drew me in so deeply that I had to keep going, and I’m so glad I did.

Book 3 was great, and I love that Delsanra and Rayhan are included in this book. The love triangle/multiple mates element with Liam, Damon, and Raven was a bit challenging for me, but that’s entirely a “me” thing, not a reflection on the author. Moonlight Muse is truly a talented storyteller, and I genuinely enjoy her writing style and the world she’s created. I loved having Liam, Damon, and Raven mentioned in this book as well. I see it as a privilege to have them included in book 5.

One of my favorite parts of this installment was getting to revisit Alejandro and Kiara. After books 3 and 4, I see them in such a different light, and it was so satisfying to watch how much they’ve grown, both as individuals and as a couple. I also loved how we got to check in with so many other characters (even if I occasionally lose track because there are so many!)

Overall, this book made me even more excited for the second-generation stories. The little hints we’ve gotten about future pairings are so fun, and I am especially excited to read about Kat and Dante.

The final instalment finds Lycan King Alejandro Rossi and his mate Kiara living a peaceful life of justice with their children, a tranquillity brutally shattered by the loss of their youngest child. This devastating act plunges the book into protective paranoia and intense healing. Kiara finds fierce new strength in her pain, while Alejandro is consumed by regret, rage, and desperate love.

The saga is rich with suspense, tactical pack battles, shadowy antagonists, and a final quest for unity. Alejandro must galvanize his kingdom and mate-bond to rescue his queen and restore what was lost. The writing's brilliance lies in its raw stakes and emotional authenticity, constantly pulling the reader back into the abyss.

The highlight is the evolution of Alejandro and Kiara's relationship, maturing from fated magic to a profound portrayal of true love's labour: trusting, healing, and emerging as an unbreakable unit. The book masterfully balances family tension, pack politics, and the emotional weight of a king and queen who refuse to yield.

With tight pacing, high stakes, and earned emotional blows, King Alejandro is a powerful capstone, offering intensity, resolution, and a love strong enough to save the world.

Great conclusion to an epic series! In this book Alejandro and Kiara return to battle a foe from ancestors past. First, their sweet daughter, Katelya, was kidnapped in a botched attempt to kidnap their son, Dante. Then Kia and Al are fighting because she believes he isn't doing enough. To top it off, during the rescue mission, which seemed too easy, something goes wrong which causes Kia to start slowly losing memories of her and Al's life together. Until all she remembers is being a teenager in her parent's home. Can Kia and Al overcome this evil that seems intent on separating them? Can they find a way to destroy the unkillable without losing anything further? I swear I held my breath through the end of this book. A must read for Muse lovers, and for Kia and Al lovers.

This is the last book in the Alpha Series and my third time reading them all. This book had it all: love, passion, steam, heartbreak, action, intrigue. Whilst is centres around Al, Kiara and their young children, we also got to catch up with characters and their kids from the other books in the series. Plus there are some sneaky hints at things to come in the follow-up series The Rossi Legacies. The only reason I'm not sad this series is over is because I'll get to catch-up with them all in Legacies which follows their kids. Which I am jumping into as soon as I post this review!

I enjoyed this book a lot more than HCHA.
Al here has grown from being just the mate to a father, a brother who has bonded with his family. His journey from being leading the life in isolation to that of a family man is commendable.
The bond between Al and Kia is tested and his realisation that he does not need to fight all battles alone speaks volumes of this character growth.
Sky was entertaining while Kat's actions touched my heart. Leo and Azura were interesting to read about.
There is truly no king like Alejandro Rossi!

Beautiful and heart-wrenching from start to finish. My heart ached for Al as a mate and a father, Elijah and Scarlett and the kids, especially poor Dante. Just gut wrenching. My heart was ripped out and rebuilt. It was a beautiful reminder of why I love these characters so much.

I laughed and I cried but that is what you get when you read Muse's books she makes you feel so many emotions and sometimes you even hate her for the cliffhangers, no I'm joking I could never hate one of the best authors in the world

This was a eye opener and I was surprised when Leo helped out even though he was pissed at everyone. When Ahren was the hero in the end I was like woah and he didn’t even hide it..This wasn’t my all time favorite but I did like this one more than Her Forbidden Alpha..❤️🥰🤗
