This is a confused mess-up of a character, almost illiterate and foul mouthed and driving around with a motorbike gang but oddly telling us nothing about his bike. And he claims in the middle of the story that he and his mates are computer hackers when no, really, he's angry that a lady he likes is with a pharmacist and aims the slur 'nerd' at that man. This biker Snake has been in jail for manslaughter shooting (with an illegal gun) and now he is again pointing a gun at someone, I think that would have to be an illegal gun again and breaching his parole. Not even slightly an intelligent man. As in Catch 22 he sees every woman as disposable, not worth respect, except the one he fancies. Not even slightly an intelligent man. Nor are any women in this kind of company intelligent, it has to be said.

This is a very short story which ends on a cliffhanger and doesn't do anything to make me sympathise with the character; I would just leave him to get on with getting back to jail. Other readers might enjoy the tale more, and maybe the author is just into deep POV and the next character in the series will be much more shrewd and relatable. Two stars in case that is the case. Otherwise one.

OMG, what a cliffhanger this was!!

The characters were amazing and I loved getting to know Snake but I am curious about more of his story.

The storyline was incredible, short but incredible!! It's very well written and I was completely hooked from beginning to end!! But that cliffhanger has me dangling like a worm on a hook!! Can't wait to read more!! Highly recommended!!
