This a brilliant series ,you feel part of the battle and soo much loss of life which is well described and do soo hope there is a follow upas we don't know who the Knight is that survived hope fully Cronin as he has fought soo hard throughout his life and wonder if Baldwin survives .Also the way Richard the Lionheart died was sad after surviving soo many battles ,felt close to tears in some parts of this book and the many men who lost there lives .
Always a great read from this Author would give it lots more stars if possible.

Great series.
This author appears to have done a great job with a fictional story weaved thru a historical period. I say “appears” because o am definitely no historian.
While I have greatly enjoyed more than one series of this author’s books, I am still surprised to see editing errors. Using the wrong name is most shocking and fortunately not frequent…Cronin and Baldwin in this book.

Typical Ashman storyline lots happening with great battles and historical information. Very enjoyable series.

An unexpected journey
The protagonist seems like he was the worst misfortune combined with the best. It still very interesting historical fiction. Not as good as the 1st few books.

Following Templar Knight Cronan, Loyalty pushes him back into action. There are lots of twists and turns, along with peril and danger for all our favorite characters, making it a fast oaced and very enjoyable read.
