A free-spirited artist, a wandering astronomer, and an instant connection. Is their future painted in the stars? Perhaps. But landscape painter Blair Silvestri hasn’t time for stargazing—or love. It’s her immediate, more precarious situation that she needs to focus on for now. Without a job or money, she faces a one-way trip back home to New Zealand to face her father’s smug ‘I told you so’. And a cheating ex hasn’t left her confident in her judgments about men. Daniel Tremayne spends his life looking skyward. Maybe that’s why he’s made such a mess of all his relationships so far. And why he’s decided it’s probably best to accept living the lonely life of a nomadic scientist—until the night at a remote Scottish castle, when a beautiful stranger literally falls at his feet. But what if the same trick of time that so abruptly threw them together also threatens to tear them apart? Tangled In Time is a time travel romance with a difference, exploring the challenges of navigating love across two parallel lives, and learning to trust the truth, even when that truth seems impossible.
Caroline Corvin is a writer of romance fiction. Before publishing her first novel, Caroline had a career in education, from classroom teacher of lively little people, to principal of a large primary school. Mother of fur kids—dogs, cats and vertically challenged horses—she’s sometimes described as animal obsessed. But she’s made room in her life for her other magnificent obsessions: travel, genealogy, history, some stargazing and, of course, books.
Raised under the shadow of a volcano in provincial New Zealand, she now lives on the edge of Auckland, the City of Sails with stunning beaches and good coffee (and surrounded by more volcanoes, fortunately extinct).
Caroline didn’t set out to write romance, but her characters took control the moment she let them loose on the page, reminding her that finding happy ever afters are the reason she’s one of those people who sometimes reads the last page first—just to be safe.
It was a fun read but I really did not connected with the characters and the love story beteween them was must insta-love for my taste. Also we really dont know why Blair and Daniel forgot the week they meet. I would like better if the writer explore more of their personal stories and their dreams.
This book was Good, for a short Prequel. This is a Prequel to the " Tangled of time" series. It been a long time, since I read a time travel romance. I forgot , what I was missing. I'm definitely, reading more , of this series. 💓 this book, for a prequel. 💓 Blair and Daniel.
This book has wandering astronomer, landscape painter, trick of time, threatens to tear them apart, time travel different, exploring the challenges navigating love across two parallel lives, trust the truth, when truth seen impossible, story told duel points of view, instead connection, soul mates finds each other in I different lives, Entertaining, wonder characters, dimensions, loved the way she redefines the characters and areas, humor, short story, enjoyable, Scotsman, chemistry, believable characters, mystery, romantic, and so on. Can't Wait, for the next book. 💓 this book. Definitely, reading the series.
Prequel - Blair & Daniel’s story Another thought provoking, really enjoyable short story from Caroline. I love reading her alternate parallel stories, they are like reading a time travel novel but not quite. Giving a different dimension to her stories Caroline reels you in and keeps you captivated. This story is about Blair, her connection to a sexy Scotsman, Daniel and their fleeting encounter. Can Blair find her way back to Daniel or will he forever just be out of reach? Great chemistry and believable characters, a feel good story that I definitely recommend.
I read this after reading book four of this series and it was lovely this see "where it began" for Cassie's parents and their own parallel/alternate lives story. Steamy with good strong characters and a interesting (and new to new) trope.
This was a story of love and mystery for me. The main characters' lives collide and spark a flame that is undeniable. Then the unthinkable happens, and memories are erased. How, when, and why is still a mystery to me. I find this to be a good prequel to the series, leaving me with many questions. Hooking me in to see what happens next. Pick this one up and start a time traveling romance with me.
I give up. Through the years I have come across a fair amount of books that I thought I wouldn't be able to finish. But I pushed through and finished them. More often than not it was completely pointless because I didn't even like them. And God knows I tried pushing through this book (I started in JANUARY; it's almost APRIL) but I was unable to read more than one chapter at a time. Sometimes I even found hard finishing one chapter. I need to learn when to DNF, so I did. I did skim through the chapters that I had left to know how it ended... I'm happy I didn't continue reading because this was just unsatisfactory. The plot is boring, rushed, and slow at the same time; the chemistry between the main characters was nowhere to be found and their relationship was the definition of instalove. I started this because the titled suggested time travelling (and I know this is part of a series about that theme but I cannot be bothered to read anything else in the series), but this was not at all what I expected.
Tangled In Time is the prequel to the Tangled In Time Series. The author takes an interesting route with her stories and I feel everyone should read at least one as it is a unique experience to read.
This book is about the parents of Cassie from Tangled Past. While that story was more of a love triangle, this one is a bit different. I really enjoyed reading about the parents in this story. We now had the full story which was briefly hinted at in Tangled Past. It was amazing connecting all of the dots we had and seeing the full picture.
We get to see the relationship development of Blair and Daniel in two separate timelines and how they react with each other in different circumstances. We find that they were always destined to be together, no matter where or when they were. But, sometimes there are secrets which threaten to tear our relationships apart. We need to decide if we can move past the secrets and embrace a love that withstands time and space.
This is a great prequel to the series with the same name! I admittedly read the last book in the Tangled in Time series first… so I knew a little bit about Blair and Daniel before I started reading their story. And what a beautiful story it was! Love lost, love found, soulmates. How it feels to just have your heart captured by that one person you never thought you’d find. A testament to soulmates finding each other no matter what timeline they’re in. This book is sweet, spicy, and everything inbetween! I love the alternate timeline story! Not quite time travel, but rather, the main character moving between two alternate timelines and the readers being able to witness it. But the crossover between the timelines was beautiful, inexplicable (to the characters… the readers knew what was going on, of course), and entertaining. I am looking forward to diving into this series more!
This is such an entertaining quick read and a palate cleanser. Sometimes, I just want to pick books with no complicated plots and an easy storyline, this book delivered. Now, I feel energized to read a big book again. Honestly, I thought of DNFing this book but glad I pushed through. The time travel thing seemed eerie and certainly, it just felt more like Blair and Daniel just forgot about themselves because of some strange forces, because the five days still happened. Maybe if everything happened in one day, then I would consider it time travel. Sounds more like parallel universe. Well, that's my opinion. I enjoyed this book and I'll definitely read it again. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was interested in reading another time travel romance, so I picked up this book. I didn’t read the blurb that describes this novella. In most books of this genre, the hero or heroine goes from the future to the past or the reverse. This book didn’t have that time exchange from one time to another. But were Daniel and Blair tangled in time? No doubt. If you’re looking for an explanation of what happens, you might be disappointed. If you want a fun, short read that is well written and edited, with characters that are fun and very loving, spend a little time with this story, and you should find your reward. Very well done, but not what I expected.
“Tangled In Time is a time travel romance with a difference”: a quote from the book synopsis…and what a difference! A fascinating book, with the mystery of landscape artist, Blair’s encounter with wandering astronomer, Daniel, taking place in the romantic and ancient area of the Scottish Highlands. as a last financial resort, she eventually returns to New Zealand with three mysterious portraits she has no recollection of painting, disappointed and still searching for the key to her experience. Some graphic language and descriptions which, thankfully faded out... I received a free review copy of this book from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Tangled in Time has such a dreamy premise — a painter, an astronomer, and a twist of time pulling them together in a Scottish castle. The setting is atmospheric and romantic, and the time-slip element adds an intriguing touch.
That said, while the story had potential, it never fully swept me away. The pacing dragged in places, and I found myself wanting more depth from both Blair and Daniel. Their connection felt sweet, but not quite as “star-crossed” as I hoped.
Still, the writing is lyrical at times, and the theme of learning to trust in love and destiny shines through. A pleasant read overall — just not one that completely captured my heart.
Tangled in Time is a New Adult romance novella that contains parallel, connected timelines. I love the dual POV between Daniel and Blair. It has a soul mate trope and their chemistry is hard to resist. It has some open-door spice, but it was just right for the story. I binge read it in one sitting!
Although it is a standalone, Tangled in Time is a novella in the Tangled in Time series. I have read Tangled Hearts which I LOVED, but haven’t read the rest of the series yet (it didn’t impact my understanding or enjoyment of this story.)
The first thing that comes to my mind is : whoa whoa whoa too fast! I started to get a picture of Blair and suddenly there is Daniel and suddenly they are "together". I needed a little bit more time getting to know them separately and also time to get to know them together! Therefore their story wasn't as meaningful as excepted. Also I don't think this is really time travel more of a parallel universe / multiverse story.

DNF at 51%. I just could not get into this. It is supposed to be some time travel romance, but I feel like it doesn’t even talk about any of that until you get about halfway through the book, which I just thought was weird. I feel like there was just no plot going on. Maybe it starts to develop more after the first half, but it should not take that long to lay the groundwork for a plot, in my opinion.
In this prequel, we get Blair and Daniel’s story. While they had instant chemistry, there were still questions about what was happening to them to make me want to keep reading the series to hopefully get some answers. It was nice to see how their relationship began and what they went through. It’s a fun, time travel romance with a twist.
This book felt pointless. The "conflict" wasn't really much of a conflict. Their interactions didn't feel real. Everything just went too smoothly with no arguments or hurt feelings. And the epilogue...gag. Even the mystery was never explained. This story was not what I thought it was going to be at all.
Another interesting romance with time twists. Blair Silvestri meets Daniel Tremayne in parallel times, once in Scotland and then again back in New Zealand. Neither remember meeting before, but too many coincidences will eventually convince them.
A fun read - the books takes place in Scotland and New Zealand primarily. I kept waiting for a resolution of the time rift (not sure what to call it) but I got sucked in and had forgotten it was a prequel!
I like the characters and I'm looking forward to reading more.
I wanted to like this book, but it just wasn’t really what I was expecting. I also thought there were some story discrepancies in Blair and Luca’s story
I couldn't get invested in this story whatsoever. I had high hopes because the cover was pretty but for some reason the writing just couldn't engage me at all.
This is a contemporary romance mixed with a dash of mystical divine intervention.
Blair is a determined artist who likes to travel the world, painting it’s landscapes and picking up waitressing jobs or whatever will pay her way. She and her friend Kylie make their way to Scotland accepting a job at a remote hotel with staff lodging. Shortly after arriving, a past love shows up in her section of the fancy restaurant and she passes her table over to a coworker not wanting to deal with him. After her shift, trying to avoid him once again Blair takes a walk to the nearby castle ruin, where she experiences something odd causing her to fall and meet an astronomer taking advantage of the new moon.
This was a quick and sweet read. I enjoyed the story, however with a title like a Tangle in Time, I was expecting a lot more mystery and otherworldly content.
