I enjoyed this book by BP Stevens. This is the second book of the series. Mason is still determined to find out what happened to his sister Violet, who was taken one night as they walked home at night. The first book left off with a secret about to be exposed. In this second book, Mason continues his own investigation. It leads back to their hometown of Rose Hills and this leads him deeper into the mystery, with some danger as well. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.
Again this is a very short story and I'd prefer if all the books were together as one. By the time each book comes out, I've forgotten what happened previously. Not as much going on in this book. Mason is still looking for answers on what happened to his sister, Violet. He goes back to his dad's home town and that may have been a big mistake. A little slower than most books by this author. Still, it will be interesting to see what happens. Needs to be read in the order the books are in the series to make sense.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This story is shaping.up to be a cracker. Mason is still seeking answers for the sisters.murder and returns to his home town and into a pile of trouble. These short stories are well written and develop the characters well. The story grabs you from the first page and will not let.go. I look forward to the next instalment. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
Bad people with bad secrets. Mason is still searching for answers about his sister Violet. He has a penpal giving him hints and he decides to travel back in time and go back to the town his Family moved from when he was young. But is that smart considering the secrets that he never knew, the danger he is headed into. The books are captivating and a fast, easy read. I enjoyed reading them and I think you will too if you like mysteries.
This is book two of three in the Violet Carter series. Mason returns to his hometown to find answers about the death of his sister Violet. He is in deep. His father discovers Mason went to Rose Hill, their hometown. What will happen to Mason and his Dad? I look forward to the next book in the series!
B.P. Stevens is quickly becoming my new favourite Canuck author! The stuff of nightmares, I suspect I'll be acting out another B.P. Stevens-fuelled all-night, fully acted out live thriller trying to help Mason solve his sister's murder and prevent the demise of his own or other family member's lives from their hometown gangster family. Damien likes to hang out at the bar called the Devil's Den.
I just got finished reading the ARC copy. Mason is following a lead that he got from the Private Investigator. Will Mason get answers before it's too late. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens.
This short, pithy second part to this series grabs the reader's interest and won't let go. It has great character development and the action is truly non-stop. I look forward to further volumes of this series. I received an ARC and this is my honest appraisal of this novella.
This is a very good murder mystery storyline. The MCs are defined, determined, and over their heads in their search for answers. There are secrets, drama, twists, and suspense in this book, and I enjoyed it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Damien certainly knows how to get himself into strife. A good continuation, though somewhat brief. Looks like more questions than answers evolving at present.
Book 2 has taken us farther down the path of finding out what happened to Violet. Danger is coming, and it's so fun to read. Unfortunately, i have to wait to read book 3.
The Note: Violet Carter Book 2, my twenty-first read from author B.P Stevens. A 62-page thriller that I read in under an hour. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author, particularly Unlikely Ally: Violet Carter Book 3 when it's published later this month. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
