Amidst the eerie mists of Neverland, I, Molly, navigated a life less ordinary. The forsaken daughter of the feared Captain James Hook, I was woven from the fabric of piracy - sharp-edged, unyielding, and shadowed. Without a mother's warmth, I grew up with the cold touch of a sword, yearning for a father's love that seemed as distant as the stars above. But destiny had its games. An unexpected encounter with the enigmatic Peter Pan and his band of lost boys pulled me into a whirlwind of emotions, torn between loyalty to my blood and a newfound connection with the wild-hearted boys of the forest. Each stolen moment with Peter and his lieutenants brought me closer to unravelling the mysteries of my past, and the dangerous allure of forbidden passions. In the dance of deception and desires, the lines between friend and foe blurred, leading me to confront truths darker than the night, and forcing me to question where my loyalties truly lay.
I wish I could say I never lost my interest in this book but it was an up and down battle..
Started out strong with Molly as our MFC.. the daughter of the infamous Captain Hook.
She's cast out to spy on Peter Pan and the lost boys in hopes of bringing an end to an endlessly mindless war.
Once she arrives to their secret location after days of traveling through unknown territory .. she finds herself tangled between duty and desire..
This is were I started to lose a little bit of interest only because I was so wrapped up in the plot that the reverse harem aspect of this story kind of faded into the background.
3 stars because by right around chapter 30 I was sucked right back into the plot again and was happy I pushed through.
There's so much drama between Hook and his daughter Molly. Tinker Bell is a spitfire of course..gotta love her..Shadow was my favorite and shout out for the parrot.
3 stars only because of personal preference and the fact that i feel like a good chunk of the book felt like it was out of place..
Would still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a retelling with a twisted spin on Peter Pan and a pirate who finds herself fighting for the right side.. but what side will that be ??
NeverLost is a fantastic read, taking a different take on Peter Pan and the Lost Boys! Molly is the only girl on a pirate ship and lives to make her father, Hook, proud of her, hoping he will show her some sort of affection. Being raised on the pirate ship, without a mother, it's the only life she has ever known. After an attack by the Lost Boys and wanting to end the war and bring peace, Molly sets on a mission to find the Lost Boys hideout and bring the information to Hook. Along the way Molly starts doubting if her father cares about her, let alone love her, as she is shown a different way of life and realizes everything she has ever known about Peter Pan and the Lost Boys is all lies. Will Molly complete her mission and make Hook proud of her or will she choose a new life that promises happiness and fun?.
I enjoyed this book. But it got off to a rough start. The way the FMC acts when she first gets to the Lost Boys hideout is almost cringe worthy. The way she's trying to "seduce" the three of them was not written well. Honestly I did cringe more than once. But as the book continues the writing style picks up and the scenes are much better. When the plot twists start happening you'll be hooked (ha, get it?)
Not my favorite Peter Pan retelling. This author tends to write virginal FMC which just isn’t my favorite trope, especially for a reverse harem. 🤷🏻♀️ Giving a lower star rating because I would’ve liked to read a little more character development to go with the tough decisions, betrayals & devotion.
Just say ass, just say “fuck” why “bottom”, “enters me”??? “enters my other hole” was a final straw… I feel like a kid wrote this and was scared to cuss. Ick..
I want to read the others but I’m second guessing now…
This was a nice twist on neverland . Molly captain hooks daughter is the villian turned soft by the lost boys. It was exciting and kept my interest all the way through .
