My First Introduction To Her Works Must Have Been Between 2016-17 When Most Of Her Exciting Short Reads Were Then Available On The Juggernaut Apps Exclusively For Members. Come Covid And There Was aa Break Only For A Revival, Post The Global Pandemic.
However Slow It May Have Been, Once Again Debeshi Gooptu Books Beckoned Me Like A Magnet When They Became Available On KindleUnlimited This Time.
Chasing The Clouds Is Another Racy Light Feel Good Heart Warming Love Story That Fondly Lingers Long After It Has Been Read. This Love Story Tugs At The Heartstrings Is Based In The Lush Greenery Of The North East Revolving Around Christopher Who Is On An Assignment To The Most Far Flung Towns To Introduce The Locals With A Library So That They No Longer Feel Isolated Or Cut Off From The Rest of The Country Tucked As They Are Deep In The Interiors Of The Hills.
Even Though Christopher Is On A Come In And Step Out Trip Destiny Has Other Plans When His Path Crosses With Yari Who Seem To Have Nothing In Common Except Both Are Young Age Orphans And An Unquenchable Thirst For Books To Extend Their Horizons.
How This Mutual Passion Draws Them Together Where They Are Almost Stunned When They Realise That This Mutual Liking Runs Deep Inspite Of A World Of Differences That Draw Them Apart But Love Has Other Plans.

I love all Debeshi Gooptu's short stories. They have sympathetic characters, are entirely believable, and make you think. Even in a story as short at this she created two neat character arcs. I also loved the descriptions of the hills- picturesque.

Chasing the Clouds is a beautiful short story set in the mountains. A story that is not new or path-breaking. But charming in the way it is narrated.

It is not an unusual story but Debeshi's writing makes it special. This is a love story set in the mountains, close to the clouds. I like to read her stories especially for her style; this one had a calming effect after I read it.

A cute, mountainous/hills waala love story, which also included books, making it a double whammy for the mountain-lover and bookworm me.
