When dragon shifter Eivross balks at his king brother’s desire to wage war against another nest, he chooses to be exiled instead of helping his brother take innocent lives. Exile for a dragon shifter means finding a new place to call home, and he chooses Cider Falls.
Diem loves Cider Falls and working in the bookstore, and she’s even happier now that she’s picked up a volunteer job at the school library. When a stranger comes to town, Diem knows he’s her truemate, and not just because he shifts when they meet and rips the front door off its hinges.
But Eivross won’t take Diem as his mate because his brother is dangerous and he’s worried she’ll be caught in the crossfire. When a spurned female dragon tells his brother where Eivross is, he shows up with an army, intending to take Diem for his own mate and kill Eivross in the process. Can Eivross keep Diem safe against a horde of angry dragons, or will he lose the most important treasure of all?
I am so sorry to see this series end. I truly would’ve liked to of seen more relationships blossom with the other characters of Cider falls. But RE Butler never fails to keep me intrigued with new books, new series, and exciting stories. And she has done it again, and this one with a dragon. Diem loves her books, she loves Cider Falls and being excepted for who she is, half lion and half wolf shifter. Books are her world. Until a dragon comes crashing down. Eivross has left his dragon family, he is now exiled by choice, to get away from his evil brother, who is now king. Not only is his brother evil. He is insane. He killed his father and his uncle to get the throne, and Eivross could not take anymore. He figured if he lived far enough away, and never found a mate his brother would leave him alone. Neither of those things happened, and now he has a mate, and his brother has come to cause trouble. I love the relationship between these two, and how the town of Cider Falls backs up all their residence. Cider Falls is the ideal town, no matter who or what you are you are accepted. The perfect town that now needs protecting from an evil dragon. It is the perfect book with the perfect ending. Sad to see the series end. But I am anxious for any new books that RE Butler releases.
I am sad this is the last book in this series, because I love all these special hybrids, but it was a really Great ending of the series. I loved to have the dragons mixed into this series and get some insight into their world. I wanted to kick Eivross but a few times and yell at him to do the right thing, and of course s… hit’s the Fan partly because of him, but everything works out in the end and loved where the story takes us
a dragon comes to Cider Falls to escape from his crazy brother leader but what he finds is his most valuable treasure. he must protect her at all cost.
being a book store owner makes her happy and now to get to be a part time librarian makes it all the more rewarding, but fate decides to throw her fated mate into the mix.
this is book 6 of the Cider Falls series by the author.
He was a dragon and he did the rt thing and he found a mate but can his stubbornness cause more trouble than just being honest in the very beginning? There needs 2 b alot more in the series cause it sure it's finished when sum others haven't found their mates yet!!!!!! DO MORE OF THIS SERIES PLEASE ASAP!! I was surprised about a few things that happened but it was still really good!!
Eivross has a deep sense of honor. Leaving a power hungry brother behind has him denying Diem in order to protect her. I was a little disappointed that he didn't attempt to explain it to anyone. Diem hurt was understandable but her forgiveness comes without strings. The ending is lovely.
Yes I did finish this in one evening… I loved it! I wish there was more to the story and more coming out in this series but alas, this is the final book.
I absolutely love R.E. Butler and have loved living in her stories. I’m very excited for what’s next.
I am a little sad that this is the last book of this series! The good thing is that I can always re-read the series as much as I want! This book is a great end to this good series. It's worth purchasing.
Couldn't put it down loved the characters and the storyline and can't wait to read more in this series it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
