Early Mornings

Rate this book
So much fun had been created during the long nights for Jazze. She was young, full of life, and a top pick amongst the men in her life. So much so that she crossed lines while creating permanent bonds. Now it was time for her to face the Early Mornings.

Naveen was a catch himself. He was handsome and dominant— manly in the best ways possible. Yet, his love for Jazze didn’t seem to connect to the young damsel. He was often reminded of their age difference when some of her antics were too childish for him.

Drama is everything his name signifies— in the best ways possible. He’s a player with slick words and quick comebacks but somehow he’s just as into Jazze as Naveen is. And he’s a sore loser, so losing her isn’t an option.

In this spin off to Long Nights, the saying of everything coming to the light is on a constant loop for everyone involved. Who will find love in this beautiful tale of complete chaos?

🥹so good

I loved this story. Jazze found herself in the middle of a love triangle, with a child involved. I’m glad she followed her heart and did not settle for safe. Turns out, Drama was what she needed. His maturity was much appreciated!! Drama surprised me with how delicate he was with Candi. I am hoping we see the glow-up from Candi because she deserves a HEA, as well. Good read and easy story to follow.

Conflicted

Hmmmm 🥴‼️Conflicted & simultaneously annoyed by Jazze recklessness & disrespectfully using Natty. Cool, she apologized (well, she actually only said “sorry”🥴) however, she never acknowledged taking his money under false pretenses. Consequently, “Early Mornings (Nights & Mornings - Book 2)” was just a mediocre read. I’m glad Jazze & Drama resolved their many issues to ultimately secure their HEA in each other. Unfortunately, their journey to HEA was juvenile, reckless and convoluted.

Great Read

My heart broke for Candi!!!!…She is definitely struggling with past trauma and past decisions that are eating her up mentally!!!…I’m glad Drama was able to get her in rehab!!!…
I’m on the fence with Jazze because baby, sleeping with the same person your sister slept with and then the brother of your child’s father!!!…Same with Drama, sleeping with the sister of your now friend that you were sleeping with and the woman your brother slept with!!!…Geesshhh!!!!…
I love me some Navee and Dream though!!!…
I truly hope Natty gets him a HEA because he serves to have a woman that will love him back wholeheartedly!!!…

Jazze was a whole mess for most of this book. Her favorite line was saying she was doing what was best for her, but she wasn't thinking about her baby in that equation. Natty was such a good man, but he was definitely being used in this situation. He wanted Jazze so bad he was willing to settle for whatever parts he could have of her. Now, Drama came on the scene and showed his maturity. He really grew up and was on his grown man ish. I loved the friendship dynamic that was developed between Erika, Navee, and Jazze. These women kept it all the way real with her. I was happy for everything to worked out the way it needed to. I can't wait to dive into Candi's story to see how she ends up.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one. It was too short. There was character growth on the simple fact that Drama went from a hoe to a one woman's man. I didn't like that i didn't see it but was told it instead. I would've loved the nights him and Jazze spent together that made them fall in love. I also didn't connect with Jazze or empathize with her. I had sympathy for Navee in her book, but I wasn't feeling the unnecessary small drama Jazze created with Drama and Natty. Long story short it was an okay read.

????

At the start of book one, I thought the book had potential but without giving away any spoilers something prompted me to skip through it and read the ending of book 2.. and this story is not my favorite from this author. As matter of fact, I kept finding myself shaking my head at the foolishness that was transpiring. I’ve read other great books by the author so I will continue to give her books a try.

what happens when late nights turn to early mornings!

Sexually liberated h*es do, what h*es do. I loved every bit of Drama and Dreams story! It was alpha male and protective swag for me. Can’t wait to see if Ambitions ever comes around or what’s in store for Candi and Law’d please give their momma an attitude adjustment!

Drama os all the DRRAAAMA!!!

I knew Drama was going to get his girl! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Despite Jazze initially seeing Natty as a more secure option, I’m glad everyone was able to follow their hearts.

Now I’m interested to know what Ambition is going to do, will Candi find love, as well as Natty.

Security

Women wear their hearts as badges if comfort and safety are not part of the plan fear stems in either we have an escape plan or a pack and run route. Allowing our hearts to flow freely will provide blessings for those within or around.

This is messy but oh so good!!!

This book is part of a duet. Book one - Long Nights introduces readers to ALL parties in this book.

Jazze is our FMC and in book one we see her interactions with BOTH men and we learn a bit about her past that helps provide insight on some of the decisions she makes. Long story short she's a woman torn between choosing the SAFETY & SECURITY vs LUST & THE UNKNOWN.

This book starts with her giving birth and both men are at the hospital.

It's clear both men love her and it's clear she HAS love for both but only loves the other.

Spoiler: This is the first time I've read a book where the man unapologetically announces he trapped a woman! He had NO Regrets.

This is a quick entertaining read that was relatable on several emotional levels. Okay maybe just for us hoes that had a boyfriend and a baby daddy WHILE pregnant lol. Me... I was the hoe lol.

But seriously, I appreciated this story. Also, it shows more of Candy who is the FMC of Yours to Have, Mine to Love who is one of my favorite FMCs and couples by Evelyn Latrice. So, you gotta read this duet and To The Moon to elevate your reading experience of that one.
