Not repulsed....enticed
Monk with his crippling, devastating grief has held our heart since we first met him, so many books ago. He lives and breathes for the Club, his only remaining family, but the pain and guilt he fights every day overshadows his life, eclipsing any other emotion...until Rebel. She stuns him and takes his breath as she opens her door, showing him the light and hope he thought was lost to him.
Rebel is amazing, accepting, understanding and warm she sees just how haunted Monk is and knows needs to help shoulder his grief, almost more than she needs to breathe. She fills the holes in his heart and the cracks in his soul, happy to reside there alongside Sofia, not competing or replacing, but nurturing the good memories and helping him heal.
This book will shatter your heart before piecing it back together one shard at a time as they embrace their love and find redemption. Although it is part of the Baby Breeder series, this is also part of the Devil's Saints MC - a series packed with dinted and damaged men who will stop at nothing to protect those they love and any innocents who need it. A fantastic, if emotional start to the New Year, I read this on Kindle Unlimited and fell for Monk all over again.

Devil's Saints MC enforcer Monk/Tyler (H) lives every day with the painful loss of his sister year's before, unable to move ahead from the tragedy of her suicide after she was rescued by the DSMC from traffickers. He's sent to retrieve a cut intended for a recruit from a seamstress, Rebel (h), and instantly fall for her. The pair are drawn to one another, and things heat up quickly, even as Rebel realizes there's something holding Tyler back. When he finally opens up to her, Rebel is more supportive than he could have imagined. Hot and steamy MC quickie romance with a bit of violence and strong emotions.

This is a well written and well paced romance that showcases how love can help heal. Monk lost his sister 10 yrs ago and hasn't recovered. He has no interest in women until he meets Rebel when he's sent to pick up a cut for a prospect about to be patched in. I love that these two let the chemistry and bond grow as fast as it wanted to and that they had each other's back, from the get-go. I also love that Rebel truly understood Monk and supported him how she could. The fact that they both wanted a baby was a fun spin. The epilogues were fab and left me smiling when I hit the last page. Well done!

The story opens with Monk (Tyler) exposing his pain to the readers. But no one else in actual words. This is where we find out about a human trafficking ring he helps take down. You see, when his older sister went missing it hadn’t been more than the cops deemed an issue. The Devil’s Saints MC (DSMC) listened and took action because, in the real world, we know our close loved ones' habits.
Plus, they knew both sides of that slippery slide, so time was not something they could waste. If you don't take action, it can cost a life. You find out about his torment over not getting to his sister in time. She was alive physically, but they stripped her of her soul, and her light had gone out of her eyes. Afterward, her demons became, too much to carry she had to go, and he understood. He grieves her every day. His smile left when she went missing. He needed revenge.
The prez needed him to go get the new cut, not normally his job, but the two guys who normally do it were busy. Now, FYI he has not smiled, been with a woman, or found a woman that he found even chemistry with. Not at all during the last ten years since his sister passed. Once he saw what his sister and the other women went through, well, no. He is either all in or not.
The three ladies have been friends for a long time Rebel, Bellamy, & Sparrow. At least they hope they both still have a tight bond with Sparrow. She has been a little shady with them and her time lately. Rebel had been visiting with Bellamy at her new bakery. That she just opened a year ago. Bellamy has never had great self-esteem, plus she is so shy, so she always needs some boosting in that department, too. Did she say taste tester? Who is Rebel to refuse a great bakery treat?
That's when she remembered she had a customer coming that afternoon. She had to put the kibosh on the fun. The guys from DSMC are considered by most to be scary. However, to her, she has come to know them as goofball big brothers. She does love those bad boys, just not these two bad boys. One day a guy will come along for her, and each of her friends. And the guy will know their worth. Treating them right.
Never in her wildest dreams does she think, “Will my bad boy be there when I open the door?” She thought it would be the guys when she opened the door. You know, she’s thinking it was the two goofballs. So, imagine both their faces when there is this instant connection. For Monk, it's even more of a revelation considering his ten-year hiatus from women. He doesn't want to be with any woman just this woman. To the point where he offers her a ride on his motorcycle. Besides the stuff in the disclaimer and his OTT, this is such a good story of the pain and anguish of a loved one who gets taken.

Tyler is over six and a half feet tall, muscular and tattooed and a great tattoo artist and Rebel is his beautiful, curvy, little spitfire, also covered in tattoos. You can just feel the emotion between the two of them, it really does come off the page, the sex scenes are hotter than anything and you just really cheer for these two, hoping that it works between them. I really enjoyed Tyler and Rebel's story, it had some really difficult parts to read, regarding Tyler's self imposed guilt and darkness that he carried over his sister's capture and subsequent sexual assault and physical abuse by a trafficking ring. She was only kidnapped for a few days and Tyler and the MC did everything they could, eventually finding her, but by then she had sufferred horrible abuse and just couldn't recover, eventually taking her own life and Tyler for the ten years since, has felt like he failed his sister and has been carrying that darkness around with him ever since, which was really difficult to read and it stayed with Tyler throughout the whole book. One thing that I really did love about this book and is pretty rare in MC romances is that Tyler had never had any sexual interactions with any of the club bunnies and I really loved that there was no other woman drama between Tyler and Rebel's relationship, super refreshing. This romance was all about Rebel and Tyler learning to come together and Tyler allowing Rebel to shoulder some of his emotional burden and lessen the darkness that he carries. There was no third act breakup, there was no Tyler pushing Rebel away because he thought it was the right thing and he wasn't good enough. Tyler recognized Rebel for the other half of his soul and hung on tight never letting her go. When he needed support, Rebel was where he went, when he needed to feel better, Rebel was his comfort and it was just a really sweet story to read. It definitely made it on to my read again shelf. They eventually find their HEA with all the fun and spicy feels 😍

Gotta love the Instalove, although Instalove is a pale term for what was between the hero and heroine; it’s really intense. The zexytime scenes are nuclear hot and almost visceral in their sensuality. And I straight up love the hero and heroine. I’d love to hang out with both.
What I didn’t- I’d add Monk to my harem of book Boyfriends, but he and Rebel belong together and I wouldn’t want to get in between them. So I will have to drool from afar….

She was the light to his darkness!!
Author Ember Davis is one of those authors that I almost always 1-click without reading the synopsis or reviews. Cause her books are fire. 🔥🔥
So when I say I was hesitant with this book I don't mean that in a bad way. I was unfamiliar with this type of series. So, after reading the synopsis and reviews I decided to buy it. And OMG this book is AMAZING!! Once again Ember Davis didn't disappoint.
Tyler aka Monk had demons riding on his shoulders due to a tragedy. No spoilers. 🤐
He's sent by his Prez to pick up a cut for a prospect getting patched. And he meets Rebel. Tyler and Rebel have instant chemistry which befuddled Tyler. Rebel also feels a connection like no other she's ever felt before. Once again no spoilers. It's that good! Just know this book has some dark moments that may be triggering to some. Rebel and Monk's HEA is not paved in gold. But to me, it's better.
I loved how Ember Davis developed these two characters as well as how she told their story. And that epilogue? OMG, this gal needed Kleenex while reading this book. I highly recommend this book. And I'm going to check out more books in this series. It's got my curiosity peeked.

This book is a part of the Baby Breeder Session 2 series and focuses on Tyler “Monk” and Rebel. Monk has been living with the guilt and agony of what happened to his sister a decade prior. He has held on to all of the hurt and carried out revenge since the day his sister was abducted. He doesn’t believe that love is in the cards for him until he meets Rebel and his whole world gets tilted on its axis. He knows with one look that she is his and that she is the light to his darkness, his soft place to land, and his to love and protect. I love that he is all in right away and that he doesn’t allow for anything to come between him and his woman. I love the way Rebel is the balm to his soul and how she does everything she can to help piece together the broken parts inside of him from his loss. I loved how they put each other first and foremost and were determined to be each other’s protectors. I am so glad that Monk got the future he never knew was meant for him. This was such a great story and a great addition to the series.

Rough Riding is part of the Baby Breeder series and the Devil Saints MC: Seattle world. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, grumpy-sunshine, quirky girl gets her hunky MC man romance. Rebel is a sassy, curvy, quirky, inked seamstress with a heart of gold. Monk is a hunky, grumpy, inked tattoo artist and enforcer for the Devil Saints MC. He is haunted by the death of his sister and felt love wasn't in his future until he lays his eyes on Rebel. And he is ready to put a baby in her stat. These two are so perfect for each other. I loved that Rebel could help him to heal and also share his burdens. Monk was such a teddy bear for her. The chemistry was so hot, and we got an amazing HEA. I have been curious for Monk's story, and it did not disappoint. I love the Devil Saints and hope Crucify gets a book soon!!.

What a great book to both kick off the new “Baby Breeder” multi author series but to continue Ember Davis’ DSMC series as well. Monk is a bad boy with a heart of gold who has the loss of his sister that weighs daily on his conscious. Rebel is a seamstress and clothing designer always misjudged for her tattoos and RBF. The moment they meet is electric and opens the opportunity for love that neither thought was a possibility. I enjoyed experiencing them develop deep and real feelings for each other while dealing with his darkness and the people that still needed to be handled in the situation that led to him losing his sister. Rebel also had a heart of gold with how she treats her friends and her desire to be Monk’s safe place. I really enjoyed their love story and almost forgot to mention all the HOT spice that this book also had! Smoking hot scenes with tons of spice!

I gave Rough Riding by Ember Davis ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
This was such a good read! I loved how both characters instantly knew they had found their soulmate—it made the story so heartwarming. Their connection felt genuine and sweet, and it was such a joy to follow their journey as they embraced their love.

Monk is a member of the Devil's Saints MC. After a tragedy 10 years ago took the only family he had left, Monk has been buried in pain and sadness, always keeping to himself. As his brother's find the old ladies, he becomes envious that he will never have that. When the Prez asks him to run an errand, Monk never thought his life would change forever. Rebel is a seamstress/designer who makes the leather cuts for the Devil's Saints MC. She may have a lot of tattoos and often has RBF, but she longs for a bad boy with a heart of gold. Sparks fly when these to meet for the first time. On their second meeting at his tattoo parlor, Rebel gets inked and then they return to Monk's home. Their journey is swift and swoonworthy. Instalove meets breeding bull that leads to HEA.

Tyler, or Monk as he is known within the club, has never gotten over the death of his sister. Kidnapped by human traffickers, raped and tortured. Tyler didn't get there soon enough to stop it all happening. Then she took her own life and he found her. He has had nothing to do with any woman since it all went down. Then he is asked to do an errand for the club president. He is to pick up the cut for a new member. Rebel opens the door and Tyler is lost. He cannot take his eyes of this beautiful woman and claims to himself that she is his. Rebel also feels something when she meets Tyler. Can these two make a go of it?

Monk/Tyler has hard time getting over his grief of losing his sister, he feels like he failed her. He has not looked at woman since her death. Until one day, he is sent on an errand to pick up a property cut from the seamstress. When she answers the door, he is expecting a grandmother, instead it is her, the one that has is his. The pair have instant chemistry, she make him feel lighter.
Rebel has also kept herself closed off from the opposite sex. He is huge but the pain in his eyes reaches out to her.
I loved these two, they are perfect together, no part of him scares her or puts her off.

Monk/ Tyler is still crippled with the pain of losing his sister 10 years ago. He feels he should have been able to save her and his world is full of darkness. Thankfully he has the DSMC to feel a part of something. Rebel has been making the MC’s cuts for a while but never has she met Monk. From the moment she opened the door and saw him standing there, she knew her world would be changing. A heartbreaking story but filled with love and support. Monk is surprised by his feelings for Rebel but feels the light she shines on his life that eases the pain of his loss. I received an arc copy of this book.

He is filled with rage until he meets Rebel who makes the cuts for the MC club where he is a member. Their meeting is intense and unlike either one had ever had and that is ok with them. Monk is ready to have it all with Rebel and is determined to get her pregnant and Rebel wants the same thing with the man that she loves with her whole heart.

I loved Rough Riding. Monk lives his life in pain, no family left but his MC brothers. He just gets through the day until he meets Rebel. She’s everything he didn’t know he needed. She will help him heal and he is the missing piece to her puzzle. While there are some sad memories and a little violence, this is a great storyline and I loved the characters. I love this series and anything by Ember Davis. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This was one hot book. Monk and Rebel were fantastic together. I loved the connection and chemistry between these two and how well Rebel understood Monk. Monk is dealing with pain from his past and decided that he was ok with not getting his Ol' Lady but that all changed with he sees Rebel. Rebel just wants a man to love her and she finds that and more with Monk. These two are fantastic together and I can't wait for more books from Ember soon.

I loved Rough Riding and Tyler/Monk and Rebel were great characters to get to know. Their story was easy although Monk has had a very traumatic past where he lost his sister and Rebel helps him heal from his loss. Together they build their future and both move on with their lives. I am a huge, huge fan of Ember Davis an all that she writes. Although this is a quick read it has the same impact that a full length novel will leave. Definitely a must read.

This story takes place in the Devil’s Saints MC world, and brings in several characters from other stories. Our male lead is emotionally wounded when he meets the female lead. Soon sparks fly but will it lead to a happily ever after or will the past impact the future? Nice quick read that hints at other future reads or at least I hope it does!.

I just love Monk and Rebel together. There was that moment of instantaneous recognition that I just live for! They are truly soulmates and so good for each other. Monk’s history with his sister hurt my heart - which makes Monk and Rebel’s relationship so much more meaningful for me. This was short and sweet and very steamy. It was also a wonderful visit with the DSMC! So good!.

This was a fantastic grumpy sunshine romance. It was a short, really well written story with a great pace. The storyline had some darkness to it and if you don’t like dark romance then read the trigger warning before going in. I loved Rebel and Monk’s story, they had such amazing chemistry from the beginning and I found their HEA really satisfying.

Justice, redemption, resolution and the woman who supports him
Such awful things can happen that threaten to break you, but sometimes you find a woman who understands, supports you, and gives your life purpose and light. This story shows that there are those people. The pain is dealt with such deft and with a minimum of angst. The healing is beautifully written; and then there are the steamy sexy times, so so good.

Rebel just wanted a biker to rock her world. Tyler/ Monk's heart is heavy after the loss of his sister, not woman stirred his heart. The moment Rebelled opened the door, the part of Tyler he thought was gone stirred and wanted more.
Tyler's story is very emotional. The loss of his sister breaks my heart. Having finding Rebel, the one that will love him and share his pain warmed my heart.

This story is spellbinding
