I love Ms. Lee’s books! This book had some dominant men, some dominant women (some good and some bad), intrigue, suspense, and love to name a few. Piper was a beautiful, rich, intelligent, and loner detective. I was surprised to see how an old college friend, Olivia, had so much control over her in college. I was glad she saw what it was and never let Olivia control her again even though Olivia hated her. There was a murder and Olivia was arrested for the murder. Of course there were some nefarious things going on before the murder. The newly elected District Attorney Ethan Matthews was prosecuting the case with the help of detective Piper Brooks. There were many influential people who did not like him and wanted him to fail. Piper and Ethan were combustible when they were together. Ms. Lee did a fabulous job of leading us through everything Ethan and Piper were going through to prove Olivia was the murderer. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it.

COMPROMISED is quite an intriguing tale that follows DPD Detective Piper Brooks and DA Ethan Mathews as they join forces against some formidable opponents. As the plot unfolds and the characters and storyline become more well-developed, we are drawn into the narrative and slowly hooked by its intense emotions, drama, and passion. With its unexpected twists and turns, this compelling tale will keep you involved from beginning to end. I am certainly eager to know what lies ahead for this couple and what’s more to the thread they began to unravel in this one.
