Jade is back and on the hunt for answers to her past. However, someone from her present wants to stop her at all costs because she is the answer to the big question…which I can’t say because spoilers! LOL! This second book in the series was as good as the first. Jade continues to be an interesting character, and now we have another new interesting character Eli. I was not surprised to learn the secret of Jade’s past, and I can’t wait to see what is going to come next for this great cast of characters. Well-written and fun, this book kept me glued to the pages until the end. Bring on the next! Highly recommend this book, and I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

My girl Jade is back and there’s more shenanigans to be had! This series is fast becoming a favorite of mine. There’s action and paranormal goodness. Add in some steamy scenes and we have a par-tay!! This story grabbed and kept my attention from beginning to end. The author had me dying with laughter. You’ll know when you get there! Great story and great characters. Never a dull moment in Jade’s world. You’ll laugh and cry and then laugh some more. I give this 5 stars!

Wow!
This bool definitely had me on my toes! I couldn't believe the ending! It was awesome snot what I expected at all! Can't wait to read book 3! Definitely worth reading! Jade is snarky that's for sure I can't get enough if her sass!

This book kept getting better and better. Jade has one very very interesting adventures ahead of her. This book keeps you glued to the pages.

Our heroine is reaper, tasked with helping souls cross over. But it turns out there is more to her job then she knew and now she is just a pawn in a much larger struggle.
This is book two of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but you will be missing out on some of the background. Your choice.
This is an urban fantasy story with reapers as the focus. The story is very well written and easy to read, with a well detailed world that is fascinating to explore. The characters are also well developed with solid and distinct personalities that breath life into the story. The plot is fairly complex and involves mysteries, intrigue and lots of twists and turns which keep you guessing and turning the page to see what comes next. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Death Trap by Harper A. Brooks is the second book in her Reaper Reborn series. I loved the first book in the series and this one didn't disappoint.
Death Trap starts not long after the first book ended with Simon as Jade's new boss and Azrael still AWOL. Jade continues with her Reaper duties but seems to be attracting a lot of halfling attention. The halflings keep trying to kill her and after one such episode where the strange white light intervenes to save her, like with the demon fight in the first book, she finally meets someone who claims to know about her past. Unfortunately Azrael has put a censor on anyone telling Jade about her previous life so her only option is to try to find the reaper she replaced while trying to stay out of Azrael and the halflings way.
This book answers the questions about why Azrael doesn't want Jade to find out who she really is. The ending is great and I can't wait to continue with Jade and Eli's journey.

Jade is still a reaper but has a new boss and still a ton of question about who she was and who she is and now a Guardian Angel is her new bestie and dropping hints all over the show about who she use to be. There are some great adventures to be had in this book that make you laugh as well as give us even more answers as well as questions about Jade and well some of them will have you going "say what now!?" I had to slow down my reading as was almost skimming to see what would happen next at times as things ramp up towards the end and then it ends 😭 lol I can not wait to see what happens next as its going to be one hell of a ride because Jade is involved!!

Harper A. Brook has a unique view of the current and after life world. This is a fast-paced paranormal novel with the most imaginative approach to Purgatory I have ever read. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary. This is turning into a great series!

The second book in the series sees Jade at the beginning, still uncertain of her origins and fearing to manifest her white light, as she carries out her reaper duties.
Well written, fun to read just like the first book in the series. The Author did not disappoint.
Fast paced and full of action with a good plot and storyline and many unpredictable twists makes it an addictive book that is difficult to put down once begun.
I look forward to the next book in the series.

I was really looking forward to book 2! I was eagerly waiting to find out what Jade's secret was. I wanted more adventures. I wanted answers! I got what I was waiting for!
This book wasn't as fast paced as book 1 but there were some big plot movements. Lots of answers, some new characters, and there were definitely adventures. Book 2 is basically a build up to book 3 which I am going to start reading today!
These books aren't as gritty and dark as a lot of urban fantasy or paranormal. They almost have a cozy mystery vibe.

Just wow! This amazing world has continued to build with this second installment. The Story picks up just about where it leaves off where Jade is trying to find out what exactly she... or was in her past life. And thankfully we get answers in this book (and it’s amazing and something I didn’t see coming!) I’m beyond excited to see beloved characters from the previous book make an appearance as well as new ones. I can’t wait to see how the story continues to evolve with everything out in the open however you as the reader are still left with many many questions regarding how the story will evolve now.

Jade is just a fun character! I love how hot headed she is and how she's just jumps into new certain death situations feet first (like... literally, certain death). I didn't love the addition of Eli - not from a writing perspective but from a uuuugh no, I like Cole perspective - and I wish we could have found out who Jade really was in a more dramatic manner. The censor just being lifted and her just talking about it was kind of a let down. But other than that nit-picking aside, I enjoyed this one. A quick a fun read, and onto the next!

This series is highly addictive. I devoured this one in less than a day and need more ASAP.
Jade has finally gotten her answers, well a major one anyway and now she’s got to live up to the revelation. I’m not crazy about the possibility of a love triangle ( I don’t like Cole ) but I can get on board. Heaven isn’t ready for this Hellcat.

I believe this one is my favorite. It is better than the first, I think, but I really enjoyed them both. The main character, Jade, is so relatable, and I wanted to continue reading and never go to work or sleep. I can't wait to finish the third and fourth. I am looking forward to them.

Jade is on deaths hitlist. She doesnt know what she did or even who she is. She better find out fast or everyone and everything will cease to exist. This was even better than the first. It has everything... Unstoppable action, magic, mayhem and romance. I just had to finish it. This book was thrilling!

It was amazing. The sex scene with Eli was so hot. Better than the one with Cole. The battle with Azrael intense. I thought for sure he was going to escape but the stool saved the day lol. I was surprised at Jade’s true identity too. I was thinking she might be angel like but not an Arch. And the first?!?! I didn’t see that coming. But so many things about her now make so much sense. Her apprehension to killing people. Her only being threatened with release and the the use of Simon as a bargaining tool. I love Wyatt and am so glad he is back. He is like a kid hearing the stories and I’m glad he got wifey back. I’m really interested in why she ended up in hell? Was it really because of the angel box or something else? I like Marla, she seems like she has good intentions but kinda has a goody two shoes type vibe. She did help kick some ass though.

This second installment in the Reaper Reborn series delivered some serious action... and some answers that could change everything for Jade. We learn more about the reaper we've grown to love, including who she was before death. Highly recommend if you like urban fantasy with a touch of steamy romance!

Can I just say that this story just keeps getting better and better. The twists and unexpected reveals just keep coming. The life of Jade is just too good to pass up. I cant wait for the next book and what other kind of trouble Jade can get into.

Well written second part of this series. Love the characters and the fast paced action scenes. It almost felt like the end of this series and the next book is a new storyline with an overarching theme. Recommend it.

This is book 2 of the series. Like book 1 this had me hooked from the beginning. The author is such a great writer and has done a wonderful job on this series. I love the characters and the storyline. I highly recommend reading this series. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)

Absolutely loving this series!!! I love jade!!! This is the second book of this series and again the author did not disappoint. Entire story is action packed. Storyline is awesome. Really looking forward to reading the next book. Loving it!!!

Death Trap by Harper A. Brooks is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number two out of four in this wonderful series that I have loved reading and can not wait for the next book to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.
