They want an heir and I’m the only way they can get it. With or without my cooperation.
I thought Cadieux Island would be a new beginning, but the privileged estates and elite college turned into a nightmare. My once tormentor and his twin brother somehow became my unlikely saviors while the grandparents, I didn’t know existed, lured me here with the promise of family have shown themselves to be the true tyrants.
The Umbra’s want an heir and I’m the only way they can get it, but I’m not the same girl I was when I stepped onto this island. The Morningstar twins have honed me, sharpened me into something my family will never see coming.
Honed in Havoc is the final book in the Corrupt Credence series. A dark college romance with mature content for adult readers.
Albany lives in Michigan where she's happily married to her high school sweetheart. She spends most of her time juggling her four children's extracurricular activities, with her nose stuck in a book. When not reading you can find her writing her very own book boyfriends. Albany's passion is writing romance with real characters that are far from perfect, but always seem to find their own happily ever afters.
I am a HUGE Albany Walker fan but this one left me wanting so much more. I feel like Nox was a secondary character and I so wanted more moments with him and Nova but we barely got that. Then the ending and epilogue. WTF. Uhhh, so many open ends. Literally when the book ended I said “What the heck?!” I feel like most of her books are that way, the ending is super rushed as if she just wants to be done with it and then leaves us all needing closure. Sigh.
Whew! What. A. Ride. And what a satisfying ending! I didn’t expect to grow this attached to these chaos gremlins—err, I mean, characters—but here I am, all emotionally tangled up and clutching the book like it owes me rent.
Lucian especially deserves a slow clap and maybe a gold star sticker (or ten). The growth?! The emotional development?! The broody murdery vibes simmering into loyal protector with actual feelings?! Sir, who gave you permission to evolve like that? Because I'm not okay.
The bond between the trio (Lucian, Nox, and Nova) is chef's kiss—scratch that, it's feral found family with complicated eye contact and deep trauma healing perfection. I adored how their connection grew stronger, messier, and somehow more beautiful with each page.
The beginning kicks off like a suspense-fueled espresso shot to the heart—bam! Instant chaos, secrets, and danger, like the book said, “Oh, you thought we were done? Ha. Cute.”
If you like enemies-to-lovers with dark twists, powerful bonds, and a finale that actually sticks the landing (and dropkicks your emotions in the process), this series finale is for you.
Albany Walker, you’ve officially been added to the “Authors I Side-Eye Because They Made Me Feel Too Much” list. Respectfully. 💜
Why do I feel like I just wasted days of my time on this series? It started off so good but started to fall off by the end of the first book and progressively got worse.
Here are my final thoughts 💭
I’m really confused about a few things. Why did Nox make such a big deal saying that his brother would never forgive him if he knew that he was the reason why his parents died? They never bring it up again.
Why did they put so much emphasis on her working at the bar with Jimmy and being all weird if they were never gonna talk about him again? Like why the mysteriousness of him if he wasn’t gonna be part of the story? Even the other founder I think his last name was Quinn. It just seems like they went in one direction in the beginning and then they were like nope and totally went in a different direction.
This was also referred to me as a RH, it is not. This is a MFM, it’s even categorized wrong on GoodReads. This book is also not really “Dark” or “College”
Why is Lucien a two pump chump?
Nova is so damn insecure, the tattoo scene was downright cringy.
She also says I love you to the boys constantly and I may be wrong but I haven’t heard them say it once back to her, maybe Nox but for two people who are obsessed with her make it make sense. Nox also felt like the 3rd wheel most times 🤷🏻♀️
Also that ending was painful & uneventful.

I f***ing loved this series! Don’t get me wrong I’ve loved all of Albanys books but this one just hit everything just right! Seeing the FMC grow and trust in herself as well as the two MMCs was great and seeing the guys come out of their shells and open up was so sweet! And I loved that even when they were together they still had the banter that I loved when they were enemies. The plot was so good and I love how Albany always builds up the spice in her books! 😍🫠
Honed In Havoc is the third and final book in the Corrupt Credence Series. It is a ménage, dark, college romance with a secret society and twin possessive and morally grey men.
The audiobook for this title is terrific! The casting is perfect! Corvin King and Brook Daniels do a marvelous job bringing these amazing characters, their world, and story to life.
Nova, Lucien, and Nox start this book separated and kept apart by the Umbras. But if you’ve read the first two book in this series, then you know Lucien and Knox will not let that last for long.
This continuing story is packed full of action, intrigue, mystery, suspense, emotion, and steamy moments. It, of course, ends in a HEA, but it’s a dark and twisty road getting there. But I will tell you this, it is so worth the wait!
I loved everything about this series and was absolutely obsessed with it from the start. I particularly loved the major character development and growth that Lucien shows throughout the series. I am so very addicted to the audiobooks as well, they are so dang good!
The writing, pace, flow, characters, character development, relationship development, storyline, storytelling, world building, and narrators for the audiobook, are all terrific. I would definitely recommend this book, audiobook, and the series and am very excited for more from this amazing author.
Absolutely loved this series! Love a good dark enemies to lovers. The characters the author writes are always so good, but I have to say after all the series I’ve read with this author it drives me crazy she doesn’t write epilogues? In this book they even talk about babies and what they want in the future….but we’ll never know because it just ends without us knowing what their future looks like. It’s kind of a bummer.
I devoured this series and loved every second!! 💗💘
Hooked. Consumed. Passionate. I lost sleep, stole time from adulting and work. Basically, I let it take over my life for three days straight and I have no regrets! Well, maybe one regret... finishing it so quickly 😭😭 The only thing I can do to console myself now is jump into another Albany Walker book because I am officially OBSESSED with her writing.
I am so sad to leave the 'island' behind. It's not fair! I want more 😭
"I can't let you out of my sight. Obsessed isn't a big enough word to describe the way I need to possess you." ❤️🔥
This menage trilogy is well written and edited. The contemporary world describes a secret society on an island with 4 competing families. The plot involves found family with dubious motivations. The enemy to lover trope is softened by a second more loving character. This is clearly a work of fiction and most of the actions are barely believable. I often re read Ms. Walker's Infinity Chronicles. I don't believe I would read this again.
I enjoyed this series! :) It's not super intense or as dark as I thought it was going to be, in my opinion. I was surprised at the end! I did not expect that ending and how it all played out. I read the first 2 in ebook and the last one in audio, and I highly recommend the audio! The male narrator is amazing! Like wow 😵 it was easy to follow along, and I loved listening to the drama between the families in audio 😆 Anyways, I love this authors writing too.
This book is beautiful why choose found family trope 🥰 between twins hehe. I love how she balances them both perfectly.
I don’t normally like contemporary books, but this series is thoroughly enjoyable. The characters are so well written and the story was complex. So many questions were answered in this final book. Nova, Nox and Lucian make an amazing power throuple. Can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.
This was fine. Honestly a disappointing ending. I just feel like Nova did a complete 180, and Nox was just there for this to be a RH. The plot of this was so ridiculous and got dumb, like they completely stop going to school. Idk I really enjoyed the first and second, but this one didn’t grip me. I also felt like the writing was worst.
This series is just ok. Significant plot lines are missing throughout all three books and only Lucien and Rory mildly develop as characters. I wish we would have seen more improvements for the FMC. All three books could have been one maybe two. The third was the best one out of them while and remained fast-paced and relevant to the plot that lacked in the first two.
After reading all three, well mostly reading, I can assure you they are all human. Sigh. I feel this series did not need 3 books, I was bored with this one and skimmed and skipped a lot. Found myself just thinking get to the end, get to the end, which sadly after all that was very anticlimactic.
My favourite thing about RH, the good ones that is, is that all the men are presented equally. Nox is an afterthought, so the group dynamic fell through for me. It was a Lucian show all through and the leftovers were for Nox. I feel we lost Nova as the series progressed, by the end the sassy girl from book 1 has turned into a bunny. Bad analogy I know but even kitten doesn't fit.
All in all this series is about young adults with a grandiose facade of running the world. Although thinking about it, it explains the recession.... None of them studied anything or seemed particularly bright.
Honed in Havoc is the final book in the Corrupt Credence series by Albany Walker, and boy, was this a page turner. I absolutely adored Lucien, Nox, and Nova. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I just needed a bit more for the epilogue, maybe an insight into the trio as parents? This series has been a great and can't recommend it enough.
It wasn’t horrible and I wouldn’t dissuade someone from reading it, but too much just fell flat for me.
Here’s what I didn’t like: possible spoilers -Nox was a filler character to make this a RH. He looks exactly like Lucian, but only provides a softer side when Lucian’s too much a red flag. There are even scenes where it gets spicy and they purposely leave Nox out. Lucian is always flirting where Nox is just there. Nova and Lucian have nicknames for each other and Nova’s inner dialogue when she’s thinking about the boys tends to be more Lucian centric. She marries Lucian and there’s no epilogue to showcase how they were going to eventually include Nox so he could give her a ring. It also indicates that Nox has inner demons, but we never see them. -There’s nothing to give an insight into their future in the epilogue except she kind of gets along with her grandfather only for him to be leaving and now she gets the house and everything even though it’s against the rules. - Characters are rarely mentioned until they are needed for a pivotal moment. Grace was mentioned once until she was needed to be the one to attack Nova. The other two families are mentioned a handful of times but never integral to the story. Alden’s mother is not mentioned until the last book, revealed at the end to be the one who killed the Morningstar parents, and has been plotting all along with Novas grandmother to marry Nova to Alden and murder the twins, only for her to escape and nobody seems to care that she’s gone. Alden is presented in book one as someone who could be her friend and then abruptly isn’t mentioned again once she dismisses him as her guard. He shows up for one scene in book two where he seems kind and trying to help Nova. Then gone again, only to show up as a bad guy trying to kill the twins and steal Nova and marry her. All the characters at the bar that were being set up to be friends are no longer mentioned after she gets hurt and doesn’t return to work. The woman that shows up at the bar and tries to convince Nova to leave, we never hear about her again. -The spicy scenes were few and far between and were medium spice at best. I thought chemistry between her and Lucian was good, but the spicy scenes with him were almost made to seem like he had no stamina/control. The scenes with Nox were even fewer and the chemistry even less. -The whole founders thing didn’t make sense. It was set up to be like some secret society where they all wore robes, but there was no point to hiding their identity when you knew who the founders and their families were. Also many people took their hoods off. The rules made even less sense because it seemed like all the rules that caused strife or conflict throughout the book were actually just easily broken or changed with little to no effort. If Nova got married to a Morningstar she couldn’t be an Umbra, yet Astrid’s plan was for Nova to marry Alden who would kill the twins and take over as the Morningstar heir therefore making her Umbra heir still married to a Morningstar and therefore still no Umbra heir. The rule that indicated anyone not part of that founding family found on the family land would be killed. Seems a bit harsh to me. -The fact that Astrid and Alden confront Nova and Lucian in the bathroom with plans to kill Lucian and take Nova, yet they have no weapons, so how they were planning to that I’ll never know.
DNF at 54%. Skipped to epilogue. I just think the whole threesome thing gets old and honestly creepy. The first book had great character building with a great cliffhanger. The second was ok but kind of creepy with the twins sharing Nova. The third was just boring and difficult to get through. Let’s be honest, it’s really about Nova and Lucian. Nox is a filler character that I wished multiple times would just go away.

Wow, what a ride! I can't believe it's over. Book 3 had everything I wanted and more. Someone got their karmic payback, which was very satisfying. The ending was perfect, if a touch bittersweet. Absolutely can't wait to hear this one on audio
I liked this series, but I was a little disappointed that it ended abruptly. There is a happy ending, but I just thought there was going to be more to it.
Liked: - multiple POVs: MCs Nova, Lucian, and Nox. - MFM relationship Nova had with the twins. She's the only one who can tell them apart, and even though that might be a bit clichéd, I liked it. She is usually kind of meek and timid, but around them she's more fiery. They're all very possessive of each other. Nox is broody but sweet. Lucian is a bit unhinged and violent, but obsessed with Nova. The 3 of them together are what I've always wanted for myself whenever I watch an anime with identical twins 😆 Like they're tattooed with pretty eyes and they're only real with HER. it's awesome. - the spice was good. More is always nice too, but it was pretty spicy in some parts. - pretty simple storyline. For a little bit in the beginning, it seems like everyone is a threat to Nova. Then it becomes Nova and the twins against everyone else basically (although they do have their security team and staff on their side too).. I liked that even though I was always expecting backstabbing from the Morningstar staff, it never happened. The bad guys were just the obvious choices, and then, once they're taken care of, the series ends. - no drama with other significant others. Once Nova arrives, the twins are all about her.
Didn't like as much: - Nova is a bit too gullible and naive in the beginning. She becomes more likeable the more time she spends at the Morningstar estate lol. - the history/background to explain why the 4 founding families are considered to be sooo powerful, is just not included. You just have to accept that it's a made-up place with made-up rules that don't make sense lol. The secret society stuff was all totally bizarre, and ultimately kind of unnecessary..? Because we never actually find out anything about the Quades or Omegas.. Like I really thought that at some point there was gonna be a big dark secret that every family is descended from a different breed of demons or something.. but.. nope. Lol. I guess they're just 'normal' one-percenters doing dumb shit. I didn't mind while I was reading the story, but then at the end I was like wait was any of that ever explained? No? Huh. Okay 🤷♀️ maybe the author has other spinoff series that go into more detail about the other families or something..? Idk, I'll have to look into it. - the epilogue was brief, and I would've liked more romance at the end.
Cheers.

Did I enjoy the book? Yes Would I read this book again? Maybe Will I read from this author again? Yes
Still really liked this story, but there are so many questions left. And the epilogue just gave me more questions. It did not close down the story at all. Where is Marissa? Where is Rory going and why doesn’t he want a relationship with Nova? The epilogue literally leaves Lucian about to fight with the other families over land. Who was the woman from the parking lot? Who was the woman who screamed because she saw in the bathroom at the wedding? Don’t you think she needs to be looked into? Didn’t they lock the door to the bathroom? How did Astrid and Alden get in? Did Nova ever go back to school? She really wanted to better herself in the beginning. Did Nox get to marry Nova somehow too? Lucian said he was looking into it before they were married. So many questions. I was still very entertained reading the story, but I don’t feel like I have closure from this book and it’s the end of the series so I am left with no closure and it makes me feel unsettled after putting in so much time. I will definitely read from this author again. Hopefully her other books are more thorough with unanswered questions.
I can't decide if I'm happy or sad with how un-eventful the ending of this book series was.
I mean in a way; I'm glad that they didn't wrap it up and make every single thing perfect and this big deal authors do in an epilogue where everything is over exagerated and you roll your eyes thinking 'okay and what else could they have added to this list of things that just happened to go perfectly' .
BUT if I were to be selfish, at the same time I would maybe have liked to see it a little later than two years and see her with a baby, a baby that is safe and with it's rightful parents.
I will admit though I haven;t read a book in a long time that got me with it's closing scene the way this book did with 'I'm glad you found yours Nova'.
All she ever wanted was a home base, somewhere to feel loved and wanted. Could we maybe question the quality . validity of the Morningstars' affection beyond it's heavily obsessive coded nature? sure. But let's just live in a de-lu-lu land for a little and recognize that under the obsession and need that maybe for whatever reason she is the first thing that the brothers have ever truly actually wanted and so although they may not use the right words or actions - especially when it comes to Lu; their intentions come from a place of love.
Her darkness sees their darkness and it's not often you read a book where you clearly see how people within the relationship perfectly fill in the voids and aspects of life their partner(s) is lacking.
I truly did love this and would see myself re-reading it!
Breathtaking and nail-biting! I was completely on the edge of my seat through this entire book! It had more twists and turns and deception than following David Bowie through the Labyrinth! I'm pretty sure my heart, at one point, was double its normal rate! I am quite sad to be leaving this quirky little island behind!
After Nova gets pulled onto the boat
After Nova gets pulled onto the boat and into the Umbra estate, will Nox and Lucian be able to strike a deal to get her back? Or will she be forced to endure Rory and his wife's reign of terror?
Things I loved about this book -The narrators, they did a fabulous job with this audiobook, and brought the characters to life! -The MFM bullies to lovers relationship, and the development of them as couples and as a trio. Other MFM books lack that couple dynamic. -The suspense, the mystery, the intrigue.
On the flip side, things I didn't love -What was the point of the secret society? It only sort of pushed the plot forward in some places. We never find out the purpose of the society, and we never really hear about the origins. -The entirely too strange island with the super creepy college with only the 4 families? How do they expect them to NOT cross contaminate each family tree?! And it seems like a HUGE college (the way it is described) for 4 families and some others from the mainland. -Walker's complete inability to end a series. Any series. Every series. It is just her way. Guess we should just be used to it by now!!
This book (and series) was just so bland for me. For most of the time, nothing really happens. Then, at the end, it all just suddenly reaches the end and all is good now. I felt some of the tension, but not enough that the climactic ending really meant anything. It just felt more like a "why didn't you just do this sooner?" kind of thing.
As I mentioned in a previous review from one of the earlier books, it seems like the author decided to do a trilogy, but since she didn't have enough story to fit into it, a bunch of meaningless stuff was thrown in there. This just boggles the mind for me because there was so much that could have been put into this book, but wasn't. For example, I still don't get why leading the families was such a wonderful thing. Supposedly you have all this money and power over everything, but this was never really shown, just mentioned once. It never really felt like something worth going through all the trouble for. Then, maybe I missed it, but why was this secret society even needed? And then what was the point of the college? There were too many gaps here that could have been filled in in order to spread things out, but rather than get into detail, it was stretched with meaningless things.
I did like the story, but it could have easily been done in 2 books (possibly even 1). The ending was just anti-climactic, too. Boom, stab, and it's over. Done.
I think at this point, having read all 3, I don't think I would recommend this to others. there just isn't enough explained.
FINALLY!!!!! All our questions about Nova, her grandparents, Alden, and ones we didn’t even know we should be asking, are finally answered 🙌🏻 Whewwwww, Nova’s grandparents sure screwed up when they forced her back with them. All it did was unlock her inner beast, and that beast is ready to fight anyone who gets in her way 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻She truly was made to be with Lucian & Nox. And dannnnng, that girl can rival Lucian with how possessive & territorial she gets over her guys, and I was here for it 🙌🏻😈 It was so amazing to watch Nova become comfortable being the powerful woman we all knew she was capable of being, while still retaining her beautiful spirit. As for Lucian & Nox, they just got better & better as the book went on. Their adoration, possessiveness, obsession, and love for Nova just blew me away in all the best ways possible 😍 Not to mention the heat between Nova & her guys 🥵🔥😈 This whole book just showed how they perfectly balanced each other out in a way that made them both just what Nova needed in her life 🥰 I just can’t believe it’s over now 😭 What am I gonna do without Nova & Lucian bantering back & forth all the time??? 😂 Oh yeah, I guess I’ll just have to reread the series over & over again 😉😝 I didn’t think I could love another series as much as I adore Albany’s Tasting Madness series, but these books are gonna be right up there hanging out with them at the top 🌟
Honed In Havoc is the explosive finale of the Corrupt Credence Series, a dark and alluring college romance filled with secret societies and twin possessive men. From the very first installment, this series has been a wild ride, pulling readers into a world of mystery and danger that they won't want to leave. As Nova, Lucien, and Nox are separated at the start of this book by the menacing Umbras, it's no surprise to those who have followed their tumultuous journey that Lucien and Knox will stop at nothing to reunite. Filled with heart-stopping action sequences, intricate plot twists, riveting suspense, raw emotion, and tantalizingly steamy scenes, this final chapter ties up all loose ends and delivers a satisfying happily ever after. But be warned: this dark and twisty journey is not for the faint of heart. Personally, I was completely consumed by this series from the very beginning and fell in love with every aspect of it. The character development throughout the series is superb, especially in the case of Lucien whose growth is both captivating and heart-wrenching. From flawless writing to expert pacing, dynamic characters and relationships, and immersive world-building, every aspect of this series is top-notch. I highly recommend this book and the entire series to lovers of dark romance and am eagerly awaiting more from this talented author.

Whew. Listening to Honed in Havoc was like signing up for an emotional cage match and realizing halfway through that the author stacked the odds against you—and you’re still cheering for more punches. Albany Walker didn’t just end this series, she set it on fire, let it burn, and then dared us to walk barefoot through the ashes.
The narration made everything hit ten times harder. Every crack in their voices, every whispered fear, every snarled comeback—it felt like I was right in the middle of the wreckage with them. The chaos, the betrayals, the raw love clawing its way to the surface—hearing it come alive in audio made me cry, curse, and laugh-snort at all the wrong moments (no regrets).
Story-wise, this finale brought everything full circle. Secrets blew wide open, relationships were pushed to the edge, and every character had to decide if they were going to rise from the havoc or drown in it. Nothing was pretty or easy, but damn if it wasn’t satisfying. The love story especially—fierce, flawed, and downright addictive.
By the end, I was a wreck (in the best way). Emotional, wrung out, and absolutely certain this was the only way the series could end. Albany Walker, you gave me closure, chaos, and a whole new reason to refill my audiobook queue.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A finale that sounded like heartbreak and hope all tangled together. My ears and my heart are equally wrecked.
I liked this series more than I expected. It was just suspenseful enough to keep me wondering what was going to happen, but not annoyingly drawn out without answers forever. I’ll admit I got a little nervous after the cliffy ending of the last book and beginning of this book, afraid I was going to be annoyed with an extended separation… but it was just right.
Lucian still gets more face time than Nox, but I still feel like that fits his personality, and not just that Nox is the third wheel. There were multiple times that Nox mentioned feeling like the second choice and Nova reassured him that was not the case. I love that he got to take the place at the wedding. Long term, I’d like to think she ensures he doesn’t let himself get sidestepped by Lucian’s more outspoken personality. And while I would have liked to have seen more from him, it wasn’t a let down for me like it was for others. I love that they’re mostly opposites personalities, but complementary and exactly what Nova needs.
All in all- super glad I took a chance when I was nervous. I really enjoyed this series. I Whisper synced with the audio, and found the narration to be great as well.
Book 3 - Finally! I couldn’t wait to devour this. Albany has us picking right up, and I can’t help but feel so bad for Nova. She’s been through so much in her life, I just want to see her be happy (spoilers, by the end, she totally is, it’s worth it). I love that we really see how morally grey Lucian is in this book - he is willing to do or say anything to be with our girl Nova. Nox is still the level headed rock keeping everyone together. The character growth has been great, Nova is definitely stronger because of everything she’s been through, and she’s willing to fight for what she wants and what she thinks is right. Along with the conclusion to the story arc (no spoilers, but I like the wrap up), we get some good scenes of them together, and some memorable quotes. Here are some great examples “I’d only ever bow to a queen, lamb.” “The only thing I’m worried about losing is you, and I will do anything to make sure no one can take you from me again…” I really enjoyed this book and think you will too, definitely give it a try - but start from book 1! I can’t wait to do a re-read of the series, and then audiobook - *swoon*.
A great ending for these three! I love anything written by Albany Walker and was beyond excited waiting for this book to be released.
I loved the different yet similar parts of both brothers relationships with Nova. The razor sharp edges of Lucian and Novas love and the soft and heavy of Nox and her, both necessary and perfect. Though, I would’ve been okay with a little more Nox…
I loved Albanys decision to make Rory redeem himself slightly at the end as well as making the decision to not make Nova just fly back into his arms after everything he did. He helped her in the end and she softened for that but she refused to search for that missing familial puzzle piece with any of the Umbras and instead fully committed to being a Morningstar. I appreciated this because it would’ve been incredibly easy to just wrap it up in a “big happy family” now but Walker stayed true to Novas growth and I appreciate it!
