Very enjoyable 3 short stories.

I liked this short story. He's almost 40 years old and had been in
love with the h for two years but she was engaged to his nephew.
He just kept an eye on her from afar. People she loved started being murdered so when she was thought to be dead, she
remained hidden and started her own life away from the mafia.
This didn't last long before she was caught. Here comes the H,
to the rescue. Good short story.

I enjoyed this story. It started right away and never got boring. The
H has been in love with the h for awhile. Unbeknownst to her, he's
been keeping her safe for years and providing financially for her.
She's been in "witness protection" since 16 years old but
accidentally was recognized right before her 21st birthday. That's
when her father and ex husband decided to go after her.
The H heard and rushed to keep her safe and try to move her into
a safe house. Didn't work out that way. Good short story.

I liked this book as well. It was love at first sight for the H. She was only 18 at the time. He's watched her for 3 years and he's now 40 years old. There's a plan to murder her and he knows he has to keep her safe. He ends up kidnapping her and making her a deal for her freedom. She feels unloved, unwanted, and just wants to be needed. She wants to become an interior designer as well. Overall, enjoyable short story.

Very short stories, because of the length I felt they lacked depth. These stories could have been 5 stars they each had the potential. Had the stories not been so rushed and story building done. I mean book 1 a young woman is kidnapped by someone 2x her age (yes she knows him but is admittedly scared he killed her father and friend) and she begs him to take her virginity within hours. It needed more sustenance. Character building and as good as the write up sounded, there was no underworld of crime. You don't get the chance to observe any of the characters as a mafia boss.
Book 2 was way better.
Character development was on point.
Even though it was a short book, it drew me in to the overarching storyline as well as the romance of the main characters. Jeanette Capelle / Juliet Carter had great growth in the story.
Sebastian Laurent was your typical alpha male with a mile wide protective streak, however he showed that no matter what she was always his main priority. Even though there is a significant age difference it isn't off putting.
This was the best in the trilogy.
Book 3 the mafia kingpin with Jessa and Grant. This storyline was good however seemed rushed like book 1. I wanted to love it but there wasn't any growth or character development of any kind.
To me these books didn't live up to the hype

Stolen by the Mafia King - Loved this one! These mafia books do have a similar vibe, but are definitely different stories. Love that they are spicy and short, but have a plot as well. Enjoyed!!

Captured by the Mafia Boss - So hot...she thinks he (King) killed all of the people she loved, but she of course finds out that is not true.... Love the can't get enough of each other vibes.

If you want a quick, easy, and smutty read, this collection is for you. These short stories are packed with mafia tropes and "instalove," delivering exactly what the titles suggest.
While the stories are decent and high-heat, they are very similar in structure and did get a tad repetitive when read back-to-back. There isn't much depth or variety, but it’s a solid choice if you're looking for a fast-paced, steamy palate cleanser.
