Niamh A romantic cruise is exactly what Ben and I need after a dramatic start to our relationship.
There can’t possibly be ghosts in the middle of the ocean.
Can there?!
Yes. Yes there can.
And one of them wants a piece of me.
If only I could work out what they want before someone gets hurt.
Edie I failed. My exams, my relationship, my family legacy.
I’m a failure.
Time home alone for the first time ever might help me reset. And the opportunity to put my future career skills to the test could give me the chance to prove myself.
Except everything I touch seems to break. And it feels so much worse because I already hate myself. How can I prove myself? To my family, friends, and myself?
4.75 stars rounded up! So, I'm late to this ghost hunting party as I haven't read the other books in this series. However, I will definitely go back and read them all. I loved the cast of characters and their interactions with one another.
It was apparent that I was missing some backstory and some of the characters past history, but I still really enjoyed the story arc and how this was split into two mini adventures. It also ends in a way that sets things up for the next book, which I really liked. I can see how this would feel like coming back to a much loved family of characters if I'd read the other books... there is just something comfortable about it in a good way!
The book has a nice mix of humour, camaraderie, and tension. It is well written, and the pacing was great and kept me interested.
Now I need to go back and read them all!
Thanks to the author for sending me a copy of thr book. This is my honest review, which I'm leaving voluntarily.
I so love this series and can't get enough of Edie, Nimah, Ben, Java, and of course, Fidal. Edie and Nimah had planned a cruise a few years ago, but when it came time to go, Edie just wanted to stay home as decompress with all she had to deal with. Nimah asked Ben, so they went on the cruise together. Both did not have quiet holidays. We go on their journeys to see how both Edie and Nimah had to deal with the challenges each were given and how they coped separately. We are introduced to a new character, Maisie. I am interested to see how that plays out. We are left with a few cliff hangers. Edie does not know why the demon brought up her great grandmother and which one he was referring to. Will the demon be removed from Harry? I am worried about Fadil. Why is Dominic referenced so much? We will have to wait and see.

MUST READ SERIES! K.C. Adams does it again with this sixth book in what is a page turner series! If you are fans of Supernatural and Charmed, you will fall in love with this series just as I have. These characters are so well written that you become immersed in their lives and feel like you too are a part of this group.
After dealing with the nightmare from the previous book, all the gang wants is for life to return to normal, whatever their normal is, but that’s just not in their cards. Ben and Niamh set sail for an adventure on a cruise ship that is haunted by a vengeful poltergeist. Edie and Fadil are getting Ben’s new store ready when things don’t feel quite right with folks around them and they are left to deal with matters on their own. Will the gang be able to take on the evil that lies in this quaint town they call home? Turn the page and find out! I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!
If you love mystery, intrigue, humor, and things that go bump in the night, you will absolutely love this series! I truly could not put this series down and cannot wait for the next adventures with the gang!
Our favourite ghost hunting and favourite spooky gang are back! This book is just as good as the last if not better! Kristina finds a way of bringing more action packed adventures but keeps them fresh and exciting! They're never the same and you always learn or see something new! You can see how well the world has been written and built up, and how well the books connect; giving you the impression this series is far from over and there is much more to come! Which is exciting and engaging as a reader! I left wanting more! The characters are as lovable as ever and she leaves you as always rooting for them, I can't help but feel protective over this wonderfully written group of characters! I cannot wait for the next installment 😃👻
A must read for the sixth book in the series. I kept wanting to read and find out more about the poltergeist and why it was terrorizing people. Nimah and Ben finally take a holiday together on a cruise ship and things take a turn. Edie stays home with Fidel to help show that she is maturing and can finish Ben’s bookshop for him but things don’t go as planned. I’m curious to know how our new character works her way through the series. Can’t wait for the next one. Sarah
This latest book is as amazing as the rest of the series. There are new characters and plenty of plot twists that leave you guessing and second guessing what is going to happen. Once started, I couldn't put this book down and yet again, I'm left wanting more. Kristina Adams is a brilliant writer and this series is addictive. I can not recommend it enough.
The Afterlife NEVER lasts long enough!!! I live Edie, Niamh, Ben, Fadill, and Tilly! And the whole family actually! It's what they all are, Maggie, Josh, and Abigail too... Family!
I could see the peace she deserves coming Edie's way... I can't wait to get "my" romantic little wish, for her!
After everything that’s happened in the past year, Niamh finally gets a break when she books a cruise. After the time she’s had lately, Edie doesn’t want to go, so it’s Ben volunteers to go with her. Things go awry quickly, however, when a poltergeist begins to mess with the ship’s passengers. Couple that with some insane static from every electronic on the ship, and this vacation is no longer relaxing. Now Niamh and Ben have to figure out who’s being haunted and what they did to make somebody angry enough to become a poltergeist after death while keeping the crew and passengers safe. So much for a vacation.
Back home, Edie just needs some time alone. After getting her college scores back to find out she didn’t do as well as she’d hoped, she wants to refocus and think about what she’s going to do. While Ben and Niamh are gone, Edie’s given the task to continue working on Ben’s bookshop with Fadil. But things just can’t be easy, and they start going sideways almost as soon as they’re gone. Then, just when things can’t get any worse, there may be a possession to deal with. Can anything else go wrong?
This is the first book in the second arc of the Afterlife Calls Series, and it starts off with intriguing mysteries in two different settings. The POVs switch between Niamh and Ben on the cruise ship and Edie and Fadil back home, and it adds a bit of disconnect between the mother and daughter and their experiences. However, this allows both of them to stand on their own, showcasing K.C. Adams’s great character writing. If you enjoyed the first arc, this book is definitely one that you won’t want to miss.
