This book was my constant companion as Lent progressed. I cannot say enough on how much the writings effected me and especially enhanced my Lenten behaviour!!

Each day was a reflection on the gospel of that day's Mass. I am homebound right now but able to 'attend' Mass on Youtube. Hearing the Gospel proclaimed and the priest's homily on the gospel was a very special Lenten experience for me.

I have read many of the Magnificat Seasonal Companions in the last 10 years.

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences of reading them.

These daily meditations were very short passages relating to the gospel for the day.

I personally love the Stations of the Cross meditations in the back and the surprise poem on the inside cover.

The daily recommended penance was the best to look forward to each day! They related to the readings and meditations and it was nice to have an extra devotion for the day ahead.

However, I wish there was a reflection question daily as well to dive even further into the readings and/or meditation. That’s the only reason why I say 4.5/5 stars.

Will purchase again!
