When Shea Denver's modelling career took off he chose the career before love. A decision he lives to regret. Despite it being years he never found someone like Eliana. But is it too late for them?
Eliana has never gotten over her ex Shea, no matter what she tries to tell herself. Her dates always end badly, and when they're suddenly without a Santa for the Christmas festival she almost gives up. When she learns that Shea will be their new Santa she doesn't know what to think. For everyone else he's a hero, but Eliana has a hard time trusting him. How long will he stay before his next assignment takes him away?
Time for the next brother! Shea is almost too good to be true. Handsome, well-built model who's humble and doesn't let the fame go to his head. AND he volunteers at an animal rescue center for dogs! The only "flaw" I can think of is his relationship with his brothers. Although he loves them they haven't had that much contact since they were children. He and Sebastian (from My Best Friend's To-Do List) has started to reconnect and now they’re trying to figure out how to get Waylen on board.
Eliana is the tech nerd in the company she started with her friends. She lives more or less for her work and she's got what her friends call "anger issues". So you could say that this book has a grumpy/sunshine trope, as well as being a second chance romance. Because, of course, we get our happy ending, that's no spoiler! There are some steamy scenes, but you can always skim through them if you prefer. I've gone from strictly clean romance to actually enjoying some steam once in a while!

Lynn Dare has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Eliana and Shea. Eliana is helping with the Christmas festival in Tampa and has a problem with Chris, the man they hired to play Santa. He comes into work drunk and when Eliana asks him to leave, he tells her no. She has to take him down so that security can get him away from the kids. Now she needs a new Santa for the next few weeks. Shea is a model and comes home for a month. He is thinking about retiring. His agent calls him and tells him about the Santa job. He said that he would do the job and asked for the details. He calls the person he is to talk to and gets the time and date he is to be there. Eliana is not there on the day Shea starts and he doesn't know that she is part of the festival. When they meet again, she is not happy about it. They had been together before he became a model. She wants nothing to do with him now. Shea gives his time to the dog shelter and comes up with a plan to try and get some of the dogs adopted. He asks if he can bring some of the dogs with him and have them sit with him so the kids can play with them. Shea knows that when he left, he messed up with Eliana and now he wants her back. He is not happy with the way his life is now. He makes up his mind that he is going to retire but doesn't know what he will do after. He knows the shelter needs help and thinks of talking to Carol, the owner of the shelter about buying it but not until he talks to a lawyer and gets a plan together. Shea gets Eliana to go out with him and he takes her to the shelter. Carol talks to her and tells her that she wants to retire and she wants Shea to get the shelter. Eliana thinks that she hates Shea for what he did to her but she can't stop thinking about him. She goes to see him and they end up sleeping together. When they wake up, he wants to talk but she tells him no. He tries to talk to her every chance he can but she doesn't want to hear it from him. Shea's brother Sebastian is dating Eliana's friend Kinsey and they are talking and Sebastian tells her about a contract that Shea is thinking about. She thinks that he will sign it and leave so she cuts things off with him before he can hurt her again. Shea calls his agent and tells him that he is going to turn the job down and he is retiring. His agent talks him into doing two local jobs before he retires. When Eliana hears this, she knows what she wants to do and it is to be with Shea.
Can Eliana and Shea work things out and get back together?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Her cousins are all married with children, her sister, although married, doesn't plan on having children, so she's her mother's last hope for grandchildren. This book is hot, hot, hot! The chemistry between Shea and Eliana cannot be mistaken! These two belong to each other even if they don't see it. Their attraction to each other is slowly turning into something else, even though their past haunts them.
Eliana is the best friend to Kinsey and Vera and also co-owner of Only Friends. When Shea starts showing up at unexpected times, feelings start to slowly come back. With the Christmas festival in trouble at Cape Kismet and Eliana being on the board for the festival, she hires a Santa that shows up drunk on the first day. Now she must find another Santa at the last minute before Christmas is ruined for the children.
Shea is a hot model that has not stopped thinking about the woman that has stolen his heart. When he gets a call from the photographer that took his photos for a Christmas photo shoot in Cape Kismet,l about needing a Santa right away, he doesn't disappoint. He jumps at the chance to help and bring kids joy for the holiday season. Not only does he become Santa, but he also involves the local shelter for dogs to be adopted into loving homes.
When these two see each other, sparks fly and they are faced with a will they or won't they moment. No matter what they do to deny their attraction, they can't seem to get over each other. Will they find love in each other again? Or will it be a romance in shambles?

These Denver brothers are turning out to be, not only hot and sexy, but very passionate and loving. In this story the brother is Shea. He's a model and an idiot that chose his career over the woman he loves..Elianna (aka Ana). When he sees her again all those feelings that he thought were buried deep came straight up to the surface. Is he going to be able to keep them buried? He's cut back on his modeling for December, wanting to only accept local jobs and winds up in Cape Kismet where Elianna is. Lets see how long he can bury the feelings he still has for her, because he knows he's going to run into her.
Elianna is on a date with Carl, the self centered jerk. Why does she keep doing this to her self? She's had enough of his "how great I am" talks that she lets him have it with both barrels. Probably why she can't keep a relationship with any men. She had a great one with Shea, but he chose his career over her. Speaking of which, of course, he's at the eatery where she's on this date. He hears Carl mouthing off to her and decides to step in. And here we go!!!

This is the 2nd book in the Denver Brothers series featuring Shea and Eliana's funny, grumpy/sunshine, steamy, second chance romance. Shea and Eliana were HS sweethearts until he chose to leave her to pursue his modeling career he never stopped loving her though. Eliana is the only single female in her family and she's heading towards 30 she's also her mother's only hope for grandchildren only thing is she doesn't want kids. Eliana never got over Shea or what he did to her just leaving like that so she designed an APP Only Friends and she shares the company with Kinsey and Vera. While Eliana was out on a dreadful date with Carl Shea had to intervene and he mentioned it to Sebastian who of course told Kinsey. Kinsey and Vera tell Eliana that she should make a red flag list for the men she shouldn't date. Shea has cut back on his jobs for December so that he can tend to his Santa list with Eliana being at the top of the list and working with the shelter animals. When they both end up at the Cape Kismet Christmas Festival will they both get what they really want for Christmas another chance with each other? You really need to read this funny,grumpy/sunshine, steamy, second chance romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I love how Lynn Dare writes found families. This group of characters all have something going on with their blood families, most of time it’s not so good. But the families the characters find and gather from friends are beautiful and lasting (and sometimes hilarious).
Eliana and Shea were once a couple, but his dream job took him away and broke both their hearts, it’s been years but neither has really moved on.
A Christmas festival in need of a Santa puts them close again and the chemistry is still there.
Shea is ready to change his career and take on his new dream, if only he can get Ana to be part of it.
She’s got a dating Red Flag list, he’s got a Santa list, they’re both scared of being hurt again but can’t deny the pull that always draws them together.
I love how detailed Ms Dare gets with the inner workings and feelings of her characters, especially the men, it’s rare to see so well developed male characters.
Sweet, steamy, heartfelt, heartwarming, emotional, fun, lots of dogs, wonderful friends and a beautiful HEA.
I can’t wait for Vera and Waylen’s story next, it will make these three strong women and these three brothers connected into one big, happy family.

I'm a fan of the 'Lynn Dare' style of writing from Michelle MacQueen.
I enjoyed reading this story - it is a quick easy read, but also manages to include good character development.
Diving straight into Book 2 of a series, while easy enough to read as a standalone, has left me curious about Book 1 and a bit more of the history behind the relationship between the brothers and I'll definitely be looking to read it sometime soon.
While I didn't necessarily particularly warm to Eliana as a character in her own right, I did like the interaction and friendship between her, Kinsey and Vera.
I did like how the author was able to weave in some characters from her "Perfect Man" series to build an interconnected world here.
I'm particularly interested in seeing where Vera's story goes next. Also looking forward to seeing how the relationship between the brothers plays out as they try to repair/rebuild it.
I've gone ahead and gotten the next 2 books in this series and look forward to reading them.
Am I glad I read it - yes
Was it a waste of my time - no
Would I sit down and read it all over again - maybe
Would I read more by this author based on this book - definitely.

Eliana and Shea got together in their teens and stayed together until outside forces caused them to part. Shea went on to have an amazing modeling career, while Eliana started a successful app with her two besties.
Years later, Shea returns home for the holidays, jaded from years of modeling and still pining for Eliana - she, however, doesn't trust him to not break her heart a second time (and has the emotional armour - and grumpiness - to prove it). Despite this, Shea can't give up on the idea of the two of them being together, and does all he can to prove to her that they belong together.
I really enjoyed this book; it's the second in the Denver Brothers series, but I was able to read it without missing out on the first book (although I do still want to read about Kinsey and Sebastian and how they got together). It's a spicy, fun story with some LOL moments that made me eager to read the next in the series, along with the first!.

His shoots for the month to think about his options. He makes a Santa list on things that will make him truly happy. One of those things on the list is to have a second chance with Elianna.
Elianna is one of the three owners/designers of the only friends app. She also is Shea’s high school sweetheart. He left her behind to chase his modeling career. She will never forgive him for breaking her heart.
Shea is hot, gentle, sunshine, loves dogs, has a heart of gold and is lonely.

Another hot one from Lynn!!!

This one focuses on Shane Denver, a hunky, down to earth model and overall good man, and Eliana, a grumpy tech nerd with a heart of gold. The two dated years ago and both have never gotten over each other. When the Santa for the Christmas festival Eliana is coordinating is fired, Shea steps in to help. But Eliana resists his attempts to reconnect as she is convinced he will leave again like he did in the past, and he fits her list of all things to avoid in a relationship, 😆 Can he prove to her he is all in? And can he thaw Eliana's grumpy heart? This story was both hysterical and spicy. I was dying at times, and their chemistry was so hot 🔥🥵! In the end, after a lot of drama, we got a very happy ending. I love this series and can't wait for the next one!!.

Now he is back in town and wanting to retire to concentrate on his Christmas list, and Elianna is on the top of that list. He loves working with rescue dogs and she is the tech partner in the Only Friends app. One of her partners is dating his brother so they are the talk of the group. Will Shea leave her again or commit to a relationship? Is she ready for a second chance? Will their grumpy/sunshine attitudes get in the way? The deep feelings, steamy moments and sass keep the pages turning. The characters are terrific with great reactions and decisions, which all come together in the ending.

Shea and Eliana have a past. One that she doesn’t want to revisit and get her heart broken again.
Unfortunately Sheas brother is now dating her best friend so they will randomly see each other again.
Shea also wants to quit modeling and be around more often.
I felt that even though Eliana didn’t want anything to do with Shea this whole book was about getting each other back.
I loved the Christmas festival aspect of it and how Shea just fit perfectly into the Santa role. Plus the dogs sounded super cute and I loved how they got the dogs adopted.
I do wish this had more of an ending to it. I felt like it just cut off before I got closure with this couple. Hopefully we see what these two are up to in the third book.

This is a great second chance romance. Shea and Elaina dated years ago as teens. Then he left to pursue his career. But he never stopped loving Elaina. Now he is ready to set aside everything else to prove to her that she is the one.
You will enjoy Shea. He comes off as a little shallow in the first book, but in this book you really get to see his heart.
This is the second book of the Denver Brothers Series. It is a standalone, but is best enjoyed when you read them in order as there is alot of character crossover.

This is book 2 in Dare's Denver Brothers and can be read as a standalone if so chosen but...this is such a great read, you'll for sure want to read this series from the start. This is Eliana and Shea journey and what a well written book Dare has delivered! Amazing chemistry - super steamy with fabulous characters and a captivating and addictive storyline that will have you flipping page after page. I absolutely love this read and is on my list to read again - I loved it that much! Can't wait for more from Dare and these Denver Brothers!

Pure Delight!!!
My Hot Ex’s Santa List is like indulging in an afternoon of pure delight. These two! They were definitely explosive and the tension between them was palpably leaping off of pages. They definitely made me giddy from my head to my toes. Overall, this was a fun and exciting Christmas themed read, and I devoured it in one sitting! I can’t wait for the next book. This was a cute holiday second chance romance. Eliana or Ana as she is known is fiery and determined to protect her heart at all costs. Shea, left Ana to fulfill his dreams in the modeling world. Now back home, he has plans for the future and that includes getting Ana back. Shea knows he screwed up and wants Ana's love back. These two are like oil and water but that is the type of relationship they thrive in. People change and mature and just maybe if they are soulmates they forgive and forge a future. This story is sweet, angsty, funny and spicy.

This is a really good 2nd chance romance; which aren't always my favorite. It's well-written, well-paced; super sweet with lots of cute moments, a loveable MMC and an intelligent, capable FMC. A very interesting and fun read worth the time.

This book was not what I expected and not In a good way. I expected this alpha guy who was going after someone. In a way that did happen but he was pretty passive. He did not really do anything to make the list happen. So things just fell into place.

This was the first book that I've read that was written by Lynn Dare, and I loved it! It was wonderful to work through the ups and downs along with Shea & Eliana -- and to meet the rest of the characters in this book!
