What happens when Jace, who has never done this before, gets f*cked right by Callie, who knows exactly what she's doing? Did you know Finn Declan has a brother? Yeah, neither does the entire world. Jace has lived in his brother's shadow since he was sixteen, but all that has gotten him is bitter jealousy and a tendency to avoid his problems. Not knowing how to compete with Finn, Jace stopped dating completely. He avoided it at all costs, until one day he woke up and realized that his best friend Callie, was everything he could ever want, but it was three years too late. Callie has been waiting for Jace to make a move for years. It feels pathetic and stupid, but she can't seem to get rid of her stupid crush and the dirty thoughts surrounding her best friend. When feelings are finally exposed, both Callie and Jace have to decide if they should play it safe or finally risk their friendship for the chance to be f*cked right. Friends to lovers, one-night stand, she teaches him, short and spicy.

I saw this on tik tok and im in such a slump I was desperate for literally anything and what more can I want than a smutty novella? Did it give what it needed to give? Mmmm no not really. But I guess you could call it a pallet cleanser…
Now, the smut in this let me tell you…when the realization struck…was giving the same energy when a man sexts a woman and thinks it’s getting her off when she’s just out here doing mundane activities…that’s what it felt like.
The characters, nothing special. Didn’t really care for them.
The “I’m jealous of my brother” plot line Jace had going on was so dumb. And the “woe is me attitude”? Yawn. Eye roll.
And then it just ends??? And the bonus chapter is of a couple that I have no idea where they fit into any of this? Super weird .
i honestly wasn't expecting to love this novella as much as i did but i ate. this. up. the build up was absolutely peeeerrrfecttt. it literally slowly burned me until i caught on fire. and i LOVED it. the dirty talk was so hot. both main characters wanted each other just as badly their chemistry drove me insane. just uuughhh it was exactly what i needed to get out of a little reading slump. i will definitely read more books from this author.
didn’t get a 5/5 because the bonus scene had nothing to do with their book and i just wanted to see more of them. not even like a cheeky epilogue… bye.
god almighty. i feel like i need to go to church after this series.the fact the author made a SLOWBURN NOVELLA is beyond impressive. this last book was good but frustrating at some points, but i guess that’s how slow burns are? 3.75???
Jace Declan has always lived in his older brother’s shadow since he became famous. Anytime he tried to date it would just turn out they were using him to get close to Finn. So he gave up all together. Jace and Callie have been best friends for 3 years and Callie has wanted him the whole time, just waiting for him to make a move. Recently, Jace realized he’s been in love with Callie with whole time. Unsure if she feels the same he tries to keep his feelings under wraps. Until the night of Finn and Emma’s engagement party when he confesses his feelings to her and she finds out he’s still a virgin during a game of never have I ever…
This is a best friends to lovers and so very hot! Callie has a bit of a dominant streak. The connections between the couples in the previous books have been strong but this one hits a little different moving from best friends to something more. Once again this tension building is absolutely incredible. Overall this series was great! Fun and quick reads to beef up your reading goal! I actually read these because I was a bit behind and I’m so glad I did.
This was a pretty good book. I know it was a novella, so it was short. Jace and Callie were enjoyable characters pining after one another, too afraid to confess their feelings in case it ruined their friendship. I loved that Jace had zero experience and how Callie was more dominant. It was quite refreshing as most romance books are reversed, having the FMC with no experience and the MMC being very experienced. Typically when I see "a spicy" novella/book, I expect more spice. Out of 12 chapters (each one roughly 10 or so pages), there were only like 3 spicy chapters. I felt like this was 98% inner dialogue and 2% spice. There was also A LOT of inner dialogue, even during the spicy parts, which I found to be a bit boring at times. Overall, this novella is a great, short read for in between other books or the perfect palate cleanser from darker books.
In this short friends to lovers novella, Callie and Jace are best friends hiding the feelings they have for one another. They are worried it will ruin their friendship if the other one doesn't feel the same way.
All it takes is one drunken night and a few escaped words to make them realize there is no more holding back and when their feelings finally come undone, you get mixed into something so hot and heavy you don't know when the spice will end.
This short novella holds 5 🌶 for the lovers of spice and holds a nice little story for the lovers of plots. Read how a little interest, A little booze, and a secret can finally reveal everything they've held so close to their hearts.
Jace and Callie are college friends. They both want more from each other, but don't communicate that need. Until a game of truth or dare shows Callie what is holding Jace back. She's on a mission to fix the problem.
This is a quickie. Not a lot of substance but spicy and a good way to meet the author and her writing style.
Okay but the smut in the series was literally the same in every.single.book!! I was gonna give this one 2stars but bec of Joey and Ava i’m giving them their extra star. Also Jace is such a red flag and not in a hot way too
Holy fucking HOT 🥵🥵🥵 he’s a virgin, she’s very experienced. She’s also dominant and edges this poor boy on within an inch of his life. Lots of whimpering and begging from the MMC. Just fucking read it and make sure your vibrator is charged or your man is ready 🤭
I know that this is a Novela, but it was so short-I wish it could have been longer! The writing was done really well and the amount of spicy that was put in such a short book is so good ! My only bad towards it, is wanting it to be longer, which is unfair, I know!
Spicy, flirty, fun and sweet. It was a quick perfect read. If you want spice with a little bit of feelings then this is a great read for you! Not to long and straight to the point!
Booktok made me read it based off of a suggestion and as my first book for the new year… Not sure how to feel about that. Felt like there definitely could have been more to the story for sure, but it wasn’t necessarily “horrible.”
