Christmas Courtroom Adventure #3

The Christmas Redemption: A Courtroom Adventure

Rate this book
Attorney Thad Raker is a man who believes in Santa Claus. And for good reason. He’s won two trials for defendants who said they worked for Santa Claus and he saved Christmas both times.

But when Raker is hired 11 years later to defend the toy company that made the most popular Christmas present in 50 years—the Reindeer Hoverboard—he becomes entangled in the greatest threat to Christmas yet. And he learns that the survival of Santa’s North Pole village is at risk.

Standing in Raker’s way are a large class of angry plaintiffs, an unbelieving judge, the FBI, several North Pole conspirators and Hank Snow, Raker’s nemesis from his previous Christmas trials.

Raker needs all the help he can get in this, his toughest case ever, but Snow is the guardian of many secrets and has his own plans for the future of Christmas.

The Christmas Courtroom trilogy ends with a rousing attack on Santa and his north pole workshop itself as an attempted coup among some of Santa’s elves threatens to end Christmas for all time. This time, the evil doers are all about greed, but there are some surprising twists as Wade works though a case involving global warming, the nefarious maneuverings of great powers to obtain mineral rights at the north pole, and a hover board which only works if ridden by a true believer in Santa Claus.

This is definitely a feel-good Christmas series in which Landis explores why it is that adults stop believing in the magic of Christmas, and in the footsteps of Charles Dickens, offers his version of what it would be like if people began to believe again.

Who possibly wouldn't like the heroes and heroines in Landis Wade's new book, The Christmas Redemption? Thad Raker is the savvy, resourceful advocate that every lawyer wants to be; Sarah is his talented, grounder partner; and Liz (the youngest) is smart and impishly delightful. The Christmas Redemption is a fast-paced, multi-layered look at legal (and scientific) problem-solving. It has a well-crafted, nuanced plot. Anybody want to guess who'll get the lead roles in the upcoming, major motion picture? ... Mathew McConaughey? ... Emma Stone?

A Christmas gift for all who believe in Santa, and those who wish they did! Fast and fun read, but more than a feel good story. The power of courtroom judges, global warming, corporate greed, and power struggles, all mixed up in Miracle on 34th street!
Excellent writing, keeps you involved. Probably better to read the other 2 books in the series first, as rapidly.there are a lot of different characters who appear . I certainly want to read the other books. May become a Christmas classic. Thanks to the Landis Wade for helping us believe! A true goodread

Sad to see the end of the story!

Have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series of 3 books. Love the characters (even the non-believers). Recommend this book and recommend that you start with the first book so you don’t miss any of the backstory. Christmas story in May? Sure nothing better than a cold and snowy story when its 98 degrees in Southern Arizona desert. Will definitely need to start this series over again another time. I have all three books in my “read again” stack. Add them to yours too.

This concluding book in the series has a few unexpected surprises when secrets are revealed. It neatly wraps up the series and ties it with a bow. It turns out that global warming, while bad for humans, is disastrous for Santa. All our favorite characters are back, and the plot is even better than the ones before. This well paced and equally well written tale is a delight from beginning to end.

I received my copy via a Goodreads giveaway.
This is a really fun, zany story about a legal threat to Santa's workshop, featuring cleverly-written characters. The author's good at what he does; it's just that my sense of humor is quite different than his. Well-done.

This is such a good ending to this legal holiday mystery trilogy. I listened to them all on audiobook and Bill A. Jones is a great narrator. It's a good series to get you in the mood for the holidays!

A fantastic conclusion to the 3 book series. Our favorite lawyer continues with taking the case that defends Christmas. The plot moves briskly along tying the cases in the first two books together for a wonderful finish.

Final book in the series fell flat for me. I think of this series being for middle grade, but I’m not sure the storyline would hold the attention for the audience on this one.
