This is the first story I've read by this author, and I am completely amazed. I'm really intrigued to read more of her books.
From the first book in this duology (Lunamare), I was hooked. I couldn't stop reading. I was captivated by how original the story and the author's writing seem to me.
I really want to emphasize the originality of this story; I've never read anything like it before. I loved the setting in which it took place, deeply rooted in the ocean and sea creatures, their preservation, and importance. It gave the story a magical and fantastical vibe.
The love story between Nerida and Aslan is very strong, angsty, captivating, and infinitely special. They're undoubtedly soulmates; you could feel that their connection is at the same time quite spiritual, natural and unique. You really suffer with them because they go through so many situations, but their love is the kind that is unbreakable, transcending an entire lifetime.
Another detail I loved about the books is that at the beginning of each chapter, some words and their meanings are written in different languages from around the world. And the fact that Aslan is bilingual made it much more appealing to read. This man is wonderful; you easily fall in love with him, but you will also suffer a lot with him because of the injustices he will have to endure. But his infinite love for Nerida is something out of this world, that kind of love that gives you the strength to keep fighting. I also loved how obsessed and protective he became with her, made him even sexier. And Nerida developed a very peculiar connection with Aslan from the beginning, which also led her to feel the same inexhaustible love.
On the other hand, it's mportant to say that if you want to read this duet, you should read the content warnings if very dark themes are sensitive for you, as this story touches on too many of them. But to be 100% honest, I think that reading this story without knowing anything and discovering everything as I went along, even though it hurt and brought me to tears, made the reading experience much deeper, more emotional, and in a way, more enjoyable for me.
Although I felt the second book (Coramare) was a little long, I understood that it was largely necessary because there are several important plot twists and many important details that had to be explained, but that ending makes it all worthwhile.
I could go on and on, I could mention many of my favorite parts, but that memorable reunion (to avoid spoilers, I won't say why)
in Coramare is something I won't be able to get out of my head for a long time.
I loved their love story so much, Neri and Aslan now have a special place in my heart. And what I would give to read these books again for the first time 🥹.
I'm really grateful to have discovered this new author and that she has written such a captivating story, passionately demonstrating that a love as unbreakable as that of Aslan and Nerida is the reason I enjoy reading this kind of romance ❤️🩹.

Love transcend it all
The Luna Duet is a commitment for the reader. It is extremely long, but the story is everything. It is beautiful. This duet will have you truly believing in happily ever afters.

Pepper is a gifted story teller, she has such a smooth and perfect way of drawing the reader in. Her writing is descriptive, engaging, you feel every emotion. She writes with passion, you really feel as though you are in the story. I feel like she gives you a piece of herself in her conptempory works. This Luna Duet, is heart wrenching, passionate perfection. I loved every part of it and am looking forward to her next duet.

What a wonderful duet! Drama, intrigue, attraction, chemistry, twists, and amazing MCs are within. This is a well-paced, enjoyable, engaging, and entertaining read that I would highly recommend to others. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
