I go feral for a small town romance, but a small town romance with a list of kinks that would make your mother clutch her pearls? PHEW. Say less.
We’ve got our talented FMC, who likes to be degraded to the extreme, but has never found the man to help her fantasies come to life. And then we have our MMC, a hot as hell bartender, in a small town, who knows exactly what he wants, and he wants her.
It was brilliant. Fast paced, Insta-lust and Insta-chemistry and did I say PRIMAL? Yes. I did.
I also haven’t read a book with fisting in it that I’ve enjoyed… UNTIL NOW.
People who love Mila’s writing are going to absolutely devour this one - but I don’t want to give away all the goodies, so GO AND READ THIS FOR YOURSELF (as soon as it’s out 😉)!

1) Compose a catchy melody. Make sure you capture all the sounds of her enjoyment. At all times, in all the ways.
2) Use all types of chords. Belts, bottles and ice cubes are all your friends. Explore these in combination to get the best melody.
3) Create a memorable rhythm. Consistency is the key if you want to get to that earth shattering, trembling peak!
Okay but for reals this book was melodic perfection! Mila has created the perfect tune with this combination of story to spice in this small town, lyrical read. I loved the characters. Like love love. Not just that teenage dream love. They were crafted so delicately, but played so deliciously. Daddy Gunner is next level awesome. Like I literally made my husband read chapters to recreate at home. DIY deviant rock god in the making. Cash is so honest and owns her wants, needs and desires. I wanna be her when I grow up. Sequined fuschia suitcase and all! Loved it! Broken Strings is a nice change of pace from Mila’s previous work and I am totes here for more of it! Loved her debut into the rockstar genre.

I read this book in one sitting. It was a fun and fast story. But do check your triggers and tropes.
I only read the 'Darkly Ever After' series by Mila Crawford and those books are very dark. So this is a completely different story. It's a rockstar romance with a lot of spice.
Cash is a pop legend, but her sex tape has just been leaked. And not just any tape, but a very degrading one. She decides to retreat to a small town for a while.
There she meets bar owner Gunner. And they immediately hit it off very well. The sexual tension is unbearable.
It's a very short story, so everything has to move quite quickly. And even though I don't like reading novellas, this didn't bother me right now.
The only downside (for me) was the type of sex they have. I always thought it was a bit over the top. But of course that is everyone's own preference. For me it was just too degrading or too nasty.

Mila does it again! Mila absolutely smashes kink heavy romances that are intertwined with damaged characters who connect on a visceral level. It never ceases to shock me with how well she writes the chemistry between two characters.
Cash and Gunner stole my heart… and my panties. Their love was pure and unconditional and I loved every aspect of their story. The SPICE. Jesus Christ. The mouth on Gunner. I read the book with my mouth wide open and squealing the entire time.
Absolutely phenomenal. I love how Gunner wanted to Cash to love her body and the scene where he has her touching the parts of her body that she was insecure about was so raw and hit me in the chest as someone who has suffered my entire life with not being secure with my body. It was absolutely beautiful.

Anyone who has read a Mila book knows that she is the queen of the spice. I learned that after reading The Hunt! (If you haven't read that one then do yourself a favor and do it now.) This book is no different. The plot is there and it's great; however, I am here for all the kinks and there are a list of them...

If you love a good small town romance but like a dark kinky read, this is A B S O L U T E L Y the option for you. MY. GOD! This was a short read that had me obsessed with the characters and all kinds of hot and bothered.

That is, until her darker desires are brought to into the light all of a sudden, breaking that perfect facade that’s been crafted for her. She takes time away in a small town only to meet the one person who can bring her back to who she really is, Gunner.

Gunner is the son to a well known country music star whose popularity is still present even years after her prime. He has musical talent of his own but is just living the life of a bar owner before cash turns his whole life on its axis by walking into his bar. The instant attraction and connection these characters have from the moment they first meet is explosive and I was obsessed with the growth of their relationship.

Popstar Cash just was at the wrong place wrong time. When the paps caught her in a private moment with a hooker (off page) she has different tastes she's not vanilla she more chocolate with sprinkles 😈 and needs a break from the music industry its sucking the life out of her she wants to be her. So she takes a break and comes to a small town and meets Gunner, a bartender who's already smitten with her when she sings at his bar. The tension and banter between the two was cute at first he thought she was there for his famous mother. But he was wrong and just loved being around her. The spice was delicious like always. I loved that he gave her what she's been wanting. Listened to her problems and just be there for her.

She pays male escorts to meet her schmexual needs, but they are often unsuccessful — she has specific desires. A video leaks out, which causes a scandal. Cash is burned out and needs to get away to re-think her contract and her future. She heads to a random small town, not wanting to draw any attention to who she is, where Cash meets what she believes is just an ordinary bar owner, Gunner (MMC).
Gunner has his own story and is hesitant to start anything with Cash, but they have a strong schmexual connection and share similar proclivities that Gunner does not judge one bit. One of them being her schmape fantasy.

First off please read the triggers!! This one is not as dark as some of her books, but it has some very strong triggers in it.
Now on to the book. First of all, I absolutely loved the story! Cash broke my heart at the beginning of this book I felt sorry for her losing herself to the music industry. Then comes along Gunner and she thinks he is just another arrogant bartender. Boy oh boy does he prove her wrong. I fall in love with the story that is Cash and Gunner like I gushed at times, then Gunner comes along, and yells hold my beer let me turn things up. Turns things up is what Mr. Shaw did then flip them end over end. This man maybe my new favorite book boyfriend! Then to add on to all the turmoil Cash has we meet Gunner's mother. She made understanding Cash so much more relatable and in a way, I thought it brought Cash and Gunner closer together.
All in all, this is not your typical Mila Crawford book. That being said it as good if in my own opinion possibly better. I can't tell you enough times to go and buy this book!

Cash was lost and needed a break from all of the music industry leeches and what she found was Gunner. As per usual, @milacrawfordbooks conjures up a man that we’re all thirsty for. Gunner is equal parts caring gentleman AND devious sex god. He cherished everything about Cash Leigh and fulfilled all of her desires. The spice was spicy and the ending was absolute perfection. 🖤

Oh lord! Gunner and his dirty mouth, I loved it! Cash was pretty hot herself. With Gunner she had confidence and knew what she liked and had no problem letting him know. The one thing they both had in common were the scars they carried from their past. Cash allowed everyone else to decide what was best for her, she was just a pawn for so many people. But when she was with Gunner everything was perfect, they were perfect. He pushed her and gave her exactly what she wanted. He saw and accepted her for who she was and didn’t want to change her. Gunner carried the scars from how his mother treated him, and had very few good memories of her. He said Cash saved him from the moment he saw her, but I think they saved each other.
This book was beyond hot! It was freaking spicy, filthy!! But it also had some darn good swoon worthy moments from Gunner!

Wow, I absolutely loved this story. First and foremost please check the TW’s, though this book isn’t dark like Mila’s other books, it does have some scenes which could be triggering to some. That said, I love Cash, all her fantasies and desires were everything! She’s a country music star who likes sex rough and has a bit of a scandalous tape that was leaked. She is also tired of her label pushing her to be someone she isn’t. So she heads to a small town in Nashville and meets Gunner. He’s got his secrets of his own that you’ll find out, but he fulfills Cash’s fantasies and then some. But he’s so caring and never pushes her beyond what she can’t handle. These two are perfect for each other. I especially loved the 2 epilogues. Full of spice, kînks, trauma, healing, secrets, music, trust and so much more. Can’t wait to read what Mila has next!!

Gunner owns the bar in town and deals with everyone else's problems. but when a mystery woman shows up and starts to sing during open mic night, he falls fast and hard.
this was so different from what I typically read from Mila but I loved every minute of it. It was a quick smutty filthy read. Just because it's set in a small town, doesn't me it cant be filthy. I loved how Gunner was willing to give Cash everything she wanted, in a out of the bed room!!!

This lady pulled out all the stops with this first book in a brand new series! Cash is completely burnt out by the music business. Shoved into a pop princess box, she cannot take it anymore. Sure she has money and success but its hollow, smoke and mirrors. She has lost herself, lost the spark and connection to her music. So she walks away, picking a small town to get lost in. Little did she know that she would meet the man of her dreams. Not only is Gunner hot but he has the same desires and fantasies she does. These two are so explosive, I couldn't pull myself away from their story for a minute! No one brings the volcanic heat like MC!

As a dark romance reader its always refreshing to read a book on the sweeter side. Now that being said, this book has a list of kinks a mile long and I'm totally here for it! Mila has once again done an amazing job of making me fall head over heals for her characters. In this book you end up meeting two characters that have had some serious hardships in life and getting to read about them not only healing themselves, but falling in love with each other melted my heart. I absolutely loved this book and I could keep reading about Cash and Gunner forever.

I’m always drawn to a small town romance and Mila did what she does best and delivered not only a small town romance but one full of spice.
Like true Mila Crawford fashion it’s full of kinks. She’s literally the queen at this point. I’m not going to lie this one was cute. Gunner’s mouth….will make you blush and Cash I loved her.
Mila can write anything. Her books although I haven’t read many but going to change that always keep me captivated. Not only does she bring the spice but she brings a great story to go along with it.

This is one of the spiciest books I have ever read! The plot? couldn't tell you I was too focused on the dialogue became holy wow! Cash is a country girl who wanted to sing country music but became a sellout when she moved to NYC and became a pop sensation, when she gets into a scandal she takes a vacation where she meets Gunner, the bartender and son of a famous country music star. Things get so hot and heavy they can't resist each other. Along the way they find exactly what the other needs. This is a quick and HOT read. Prefect to pull you out of a reading slump.
