Nick Weaver isirresistibly handsome, cocky as hell, and positively oozes sex appeal—he should have come with a warning sign! I just wanted one unforgettable night with him. Little did I know that our chance encounter would result in two startling pink lines.
After our night of unparalleled passion, I thought I’d never see him again. Until he shows up at my law office as my new client.
When his very presence threatens the career I’ve worked so hard for, I have to reluctantly set firm boundaries and push him away. But, it’s so hard keeping our hands off each other.
I’m paralyzed by indecision. Should I let Nick in on the tiny secret we’ve created together or navigate this on my own?
Ultimately, the choice may not even be mine, because Nick’s disrespectful and domineering jackass of a father is determined to keep us apart. And there’s no telling just how far he’ll go to protect his family’s fortune…
This is my first book by this author and I very much enjoyed it. Ever since my teenage years reading Harlequin romances, I’ve loved the secret pregnancy trope. Here it was done very well. Blair and Nick meet and have a one night stand. Then Nick shows up as a client at her attorney office. Throw in an evil father who enjoys ruining his children’s lives and you get a good story.

Blair Morrison is ambitious. She wants to make partner at the firm she works for. This is her number one goal. Her coworkers, acting like immature high schoolers, lead her to a cruel embarrassment at a job function to introduce the newest person who made partner at the firm. Blair really believed her bullies and thought she would be picked. She stood up before the name of the person was announced... and it wasn't her. I felt so bad for her.🙊 Constance is an evil troll. Ugh!!🤬 This leads her to run out and get a drink where she meets an older gentleman at the bar. An attractive man. And Ms Blair engages and shares her anger/thoughts and throws caution to the wind. He's hot, so why not?! She'll never see him again, right? It leads to a night together.
Nick Weaver is older, mature, and very wealthy. He finds Blair attractive. He has no problem getting involved with her. In fact, he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Not since having his heart broken by an ex-girlfriend. He was hopeful that maybe this connection could lead to something more.
Blair is then given an extra case on top of her already full case load. Her boss gives her an offer, take this case, and in 3 months you will make partner. She does and meets the Weavers. And the man she wasn't suppose to see ever again is seated at the table. What to do now? Should she ignore him? Run away? Is making partner worth all of this? Is the woman sitting there, what's her name Vanessa, is she Nick's wife?! What has Blair done? It's like a soap opera.😊 hehe Their secret can never be found out. How can she maintain her composure when she wants Nick but wants to make partner too?
This was a great fast read. There's romance. Tension. Trying not to fall in love. Blair is a hot mess but maintains her professional image and feelings. Or she tries to. Nick is a total sweetheart of a man. He's not all ego and being demanding. He's patient with Blair. Nick wants to be in her life. It's Blair who pushes him away thanks to Nick's older greedy Dad, Collin. You will not like him. I didn't. And a baby is on the way too. What happens next? You'll have to read it and find out. I recommend. Enjoy.🌺🌺🌺
💮💮Thank you for an early book. This is my honest critique of the story.💮💮
Blair goes to her company dinner and is played for a fool. She runs into Nick, and they get together. Then a time jump and his father and sister and himself are at her law firm. The father is extremely controlling of his adult children. Blair is trying to make partner, so she adds this case to her workload. The characters had promise but weren't fleshed out enough have any chemistry between them. There was a lot of the main characters talking to themselves rather than interacting. When they did interact, the story moved forward. The secondary characters were underdeveloped and hampered the story flow also. The ending was the best part when the sister took control & figured out the issue & straighten them out. Blair and Nick worked through their issues, and he develops a backbone. 3 1/2 stars. I was really craving an age gap, surprise pregnancy book and the Billionaire’s Forbidden Baby really delivered with regards to plot, angst, evil villains and spice.
My one complaint is the timeline of past events. Nick has been single for 15 years, ever since he left his ex-fiancée Callie, which supposedly happened around the time his brother-in-law Greg died … but Nick’s nieces are portrayed as children, not teenagers… they are described as running around playing tag, etc.
Also, Nick says he has given the last 20 years to the company while simultaneously claiming he had no part of the company until his BIL died. These inconsistencies nagged at me and led to the decreased rating.

A chance meeting, an unplanned pregnancy and life as Blair knows it changes dramatically. A good, well-written story - lots of feels and emotions, realistic conflicts and office politics. I really liked Blair - she was a hard working female attorney facing all the career obstacles you’d expect but still - she’s got a heart and strong ethics. Nick is also a great guy who’s been working hard but is closed off emotionally, keeping safe behind his walls. But he’s let his jerk of a father control his life until Blair blazes into it. Story reached a very satisfying ending. Loved it!

This story is alright. But I'm frustrated. The author seems to think men don't have rights. At one point the heroine threatened to make it a legal issue if the hero didn't leave his child. He should have said BRING IT, because he legally has rights to his child. I don't care if it's all for drama sake blah blah blah. It's pissing me off so barely 3 stars for me.
Add on she changes stuff half way. Like having the hero catch his ex in the act to having him just hear about stuff. Plus the time line constantly changing with his ex, mom's death, and brother in law. There's more but I'm just done.
Loved this book. Blair meets Nick in a bar after humiliating herself at her lawyer firm’s banquet. She decides to give into her attraction to this older man and have a one night stand. These two have a lot of chemistry and when Nick ends up being a client they find it hard to keep it professional. An unexpected pregnancy and an overbearing father trying to keep them apart adds to the story and makes it hard to put down. Great book highly recommend. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I had high hopes for this book since it has all my favorite tropes. I loved Blair and Nick and the journey through their relationship. The one thing I found missing wasn't a deal breaker on whether this book was good or not. I felt like the Age Gap trope was left out. Yes, Nick was 40, but he didn't act like it. Whenever the age gap was brought up, it was a reminder because I honestly forgot Nick and Blair weren't the same age.
This is the story of Nick and Blair. They met as a one night stand things get hot and steamy. Fully enjoyed this book. They do get trouble to try and keep them apart. If you want to find out if they have their happily ever after just have to read.I got this book as an arc copy and voluntarily writing this review
Admittedly, 'surprise pregnancy'/ 'secret baby' isn't one of my favourite tropes. However, the author handled it well and I liked this story. I liked and empathized with the characters, and the plot moved at a good pace.

Great read, they did emphasize the age gap a lot but idk most people don’t get a lot of grey hair in their late 30s and I never thought 10 years was really a big age gap. Overall the book was great.
This story line happens more than we hear about. An unhappy person trying to make everyone around them unhappy. Luckily there's often a caring family member or friend to step in and help you see the light. A few typos but a good read.
Well written, steamy love-sex scenes, easy read, loved strong relationship between brother and sister, I enjoy stories with strong intelligent women who find love.
they had a one night stand and she had to do work for his family, his father did not like her, she decided that it was better to keep her distance from him but in the end love overcome everything and they were happy

Enjoyed their story. The family she always wanted was just what he needed.she They plotted their course and stuck to it nice to read their happy ending.
After sleeping on my original review, I've decided that some of the frustration made the ending a bit better. I'm updating my rating from 3 to 4. It's still not my favorite read, but it's okay.
