**'Be exploratory when telling your story. Just don't make too many mistakes by mixing up reality with unreality and don't be assumptious, just tell a good story..'

2.5stars!
An average storyline -- good premise, gorgeous cover, okay execution, little chemistry but good characterization.
This is why when some readers read certain stories and they are not satisfied --- these books are sometimes labeled fictitious, false, overly exaggerating etc. etc. etc.

The story is expertly written; it grabs your attention from the start, and although this book is a little longer than her previous books, it doesn't read/feel that way.

There are multiple mysteries and storylines in this book that keep you turning the pages, eager to discover what happens next.

The author has really evolved in her writing, and this latest book was an absolute joy to read. I wanted the book to keep on going because the characters and the story just grabbed me. I can't wait to read more from this author. Whatever she writes about will be something that I will want to read.

Among other things, this book has a slow (not too slow) burn romance, suspense, hot sexy scenes, mysteries, humor, action, and (a lot) of excitement. There is also a lot of talk about scrumptious food. Be warned that you're going to get hungry reading this book. 😉😊

The passion and love this author has regarding some subjects in this book seep out of the pages and make you, the reader, excited and interested in them too.

A Little More Than Maybe For Mafia Girl!

So I gave this book four stars but I was all set to give it five. I loved the concept and I did like all the characters although at times the connection was a little stretched although I did enjoy Stephanie and Madison’s love story. Of course being Italian, I love the Mafia connection and the family love. The grandmother was depicted very well. I believe there were times that the chapters was longer than it should be but overall it had an easy flow. Where it lost me was some of the events nearing the end. Not one to ruin it for someone else who might just like it, I was not able to comprehend what ultimately happened with Uncle Jimmy. Having said that I would still recommend especially if you love this author.

This is the most realistic mafia book I have ever read! I greatly enjoyed the pacing although it did agitate me at times due to its ultra realism (a bit slow at times). Furthermore, I hope there’s a sequel to this book. I wasn’t a fan of the ending in fact it left much to be desired. Great Book!

This is my first book by Kimberly A. Todd and it won't be the last! It gripped me right from the first sentence! How could you not fall for Stephanie and Madison! Plus Gram, Gia, Bianca and the other characters! Of course there are villains that you despise.
I enjoyed this book immensely! Worth more than 5 stars! A favorite!

Strong women

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is full of kick a%% women who can take care of themselves and their love ones. Stephanie grew up in a Mafia family. Her parents and a lot of her family were killed when she was young. She was raised by her uncle, and especially her grandmother. She meets Madison and sparks fly between them. Madison is a sweet young woman who has no clue about the Mafia. Stephanie has to take over after her uncle is sent to prison. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. And it is so well written. I love Kimberly's books. And this book did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Mafia Girl, Maybe

This is my first book by Kimberly Todd. I enjoyed the mafia aspect. However, the book just felt slow paced. It had excellent chemistry between the MCs. All characters were well developed, and I enjoyed Gran and the rest of the secondary characters.
I would say that the angst was expected. It was resolved well and timely. I will continue to follow this author.

Stephanie is the niece and only heir to her Mafia family. When her uncle, the boss, is sentenced to 50 years in prison, she takes over, hoping to mostly focus on the legitimate businesses she owns. But many of her uncle's criminal dealings present problems for her, especially after she meets Madison, the daughter of a wealthy NYC family who isn't up for dating the head of a Mafia family.

Weighing in at 490 pages, this book is about 1/3 too long, especially the first half. The action really gets going at about the 60% mark. I stayed with it, but can't recommend it.

Mafia Girl, Maybe?: A Sapphic Mafia-ish Romance

From a young age, Stephanie had been carefully groomed by her uncle to eventually inherit the family business. With her intelligence and passion for business and new ventures, she had helped her family's financial wealth grow rapidly. However, when her uncle was sentenced to 50 years in prison, Stephanie knew that she had no choice but to step up and take over the reins of the family business.

Thankfully, she had the support of her two closest friends, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Stephanie also held a deep affection for her grandmother, who had played a significant role in raising her and instilling in her the values of love and dedication towards family. But as Stephanie delved deeper into her new responsibilities, she soon discovered that her uncle had kept secrets from her, leaving her in a complicated situation.

Despite the challenges she faced, Stephanie's determination and love for her family pushed her forward. She knew that she had to navigate through the mess left behind by her uncle and make the best decisions for the future of the business. Along the way, she encountered Madison, a spirited and artistic individual who worked as an assistant at the Lombardi Gallery. There was an instant connection between them, as Stephanie was captivated by Madison's unique perspective on life.

As the story unfolded, the author skillfully provided a natural pace, allowing readers to fully understand the backgrounds of both Stephanie and Madison. The intricate details of Stephanie's journey as the new head of the family were beautifully depicted, allowing readers to empathize with her struggles and triumphs.

Overall, I highly recommend this book. Once I started reading, I found myself engrossed in the story, particularly due to the well-developed characters and their intricate family dynamics. The author's ability to provide a deep understanding of their lives and the reasons behind their current situations truly made this book a captivating read.

Sexy Love Story, Definitely!

At 33 years old, Stephanie Sabbatini has lead a relatively sheltered life even if she is a mafia princess. She attended a respectable school to earn her degree, concentrated on running legitimate, profitable businesses and keeping them separate from her mob boss uncle's more nefarious undertakings. Smart and competent with a sharp business sense, she becomes the head of the Sabbatini family and one of six local bosses when her uncle is sent to federal prison to serve a 50 year sentence for racketeering.

26 year old Madison is the mischievous middle child of an upper crust New York City family. A queer art lover with no desire to conform to her family's stifling public profile, she is the consummate family disappointment. A little naive and a tad awkward, but with a strong spine built from years of dealing with her family she turns an unfortunate run in with a renowned art dealer into her dream job.

Stephanie and Madison meet under seemingly non-eventful circumstances with Madison picking up a painting her boss has agreed to sell for her ex - none other than Stephanie Sabbatini. There is an intense, instant attraction between the two women. As their relationship grows, Stephanie learns that her uncle has not been as forthcoming with all of his business deals as she has been led to believe.

Stephanie is determined to keep her beloved Gram safe and unconnected from all things illegal. And when Madison's life is threatened based on mere proximity, she is forced further into the mob world to fix things once and for all.

Mafia Girl, Maybe? is an opposites attract romance with plenty of spice, heart, mystery and intrigue. It's an elaborate world filled with interestingly complicated characters living life as they know it. If you like your sapphic romance with a delicious side of Italian made by everyone's favorite Grammy, you'll love Mafia Girl, Maybe?

Mafia or not this is good.

I say this without dures (poor Mafia joke) tks is excellent

Madison and Stephanie met by chance Ang tiger lives changed forever well hard that before but this is a story of intrigue and suspense and it's a bit addictive I think you will enjoy it a thriller with romance but former for sure.

It's full of characters the sort you'd expect a set gallery of two and a few nasties or heavies and a strong American family even if most are missing. But the main characters make this a great take and I think you will enjoy the story I did.

open a door to close it at some point

This is a fabulous read but opening the door to describe what happened to Stephanie’s parents is big walrus in the room with out a hint of closing! Stephanie just gets rid of her panic attacks.
I can see the author did lot of research on some topics but not all!

So Much excitement

This book kept my interest from the start. I am a big fan of Mafia stories. It is even better when lesbians are involved. I felt like I was in the script hiding in the background. Loved the book 😀

Yes

This was my second read through, and I enjoyed it this time as much as the last. I don't understand why the review I left last time isn't there, but they obviously wouldn't let me leave another review if I had already done one.

This book started really well but fell flat at the half way point. The story became unrealistic and melodramatic. The whole fake painting story line did not make sense. In what world would a fake paintings be sold for outrageous amounts. That immediately took me out. But good effort by the author.
